I’m one of 17 children. My parents have been married for 46 years. After I was born, they only had home births because- well, they were pro’s at that point! I love your channel! Please make more videos, they very much remind me of growing up in my big family ❤️
Curious, how did your parents manage dividing their time among all of their children? I've always wondered how that would affect a big family such as yours.
Thanks for this video. I'm enjoying stumbling upon your channel. As a mom of 7, I really enjoy hearing how other moms of large families handle things. God bless.
Idk how I got here on UA-cam but I am so amazed!! I can't wait to watch your video on laundry. My grandma had 11 pregnancies and she maintained a pretty healthy uterus and small abdomen. Shockingly her pelvic floor is great at her 89 years of life. I wish I asked her about tips when she remembered. Thank you so much for sharing, it's priceless information.
I wish I could have a huge family! I have always wanted a big family..I am blessed with a little boy who is 7 now and a little girl who is a miracle that is will be 1 on January 12th! Both times being pregnant where good, especially with my son I enjoyed being pregnant and I did as well with my daughter i just got more miserable with her towards the end but nothing terrible!...I had terrible delivery complications though..so bad they told me I should never get pregnant again and have another baby it would be harmful to us both..I had a miscarriage before my daughter. I definitely hold both my kids tight I am beyond blessed to have these 2 precious angels! I have thought of fostering or adopting! Bless you all! 😇💙💜💛
I would actually love a whole prep video for home births if that’s what your planning. Instead of a what’s in my bag video a what’s on my birth table video would be awesome !!
I trained myself to hold my muscles together, just as you said, most of my day, by wearing a fitted shirt. I am reminded by my belly constantly to keep it tight! 😉 Healed up so fast my midwife wondered how it happened!
We welcomed our second baby 8 weeks ago. My body feels like a wreck. I labored 43 hours and had a second emergency c-section for fetal distress. They actually had to push the baby back up to get him out. Some of this video isn’t relevant to me since I just got approved for exercise other than walking last week. But The general theme is useful. Just started pelvic floor therapy and plan to start core exercises soon. I didn’t keep my placenta, but I’m hoping that taking my vitamins and exercising diligently will get me feeling better soon.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the UA-cam community. Would love to see video about how you go out with multiple little ones for errands or short trips. Thanks for your videos!
Thank you so much for your explanation of how to bring your muscles back together. I just had my 4th and suffered prolapse after a traumatic posterier delivery. Explaining the feeling and gow to bring the muscles together is so helpful as I hope to have several more babies! 😊
All that you do to take care of yourself is giving you fabulous results, you look phenomenal...and you look early-30's but that can't be right with children in their 20's. I've learned the most from you about what it's like after having a baby than I've ever heard from anyone else....I had two C-Sections and wouldn't know a contraction from heartburn, so it was all rather fascinating to me.
Belly binding is traditional with Hispanics where I live. They will bind with towels. Some people dehydrate the placenta. There are people who do this as a job. Then it is ground up and put in capsules.
I also have 6 kids🙂. Decluttering is my best friend lol. I enjoy The Minimal Mom here on youtube. She refers to everything as inventory that has to be managed. I realized I had to much inventory and started pairing down. It's made a world of difference and now we have our house up for sale and the house is show ready or 15 min from show ready at all times. Maybe that is somehow helpful? Idk but it's my only tip.
Are you still going to do a video about diet and nutrition? I am pregnant with my fifth five and under and have never heard of most of these tips. I would love to hear more!
I'd love to hear your advice too Nancy on pregnancy nutrition and if and how you deal with pregnancy nausea. Mine is severe and it undermines my food choices because it's survival mode with the nausea for half the pregnancy!💕
Super tips, love you! I find the easiest way to lose weight is by being vegan. I have 3 kids, gained 20 kg during each pregnancy, but then within 6-12m after birth went back to being my 55 kg weight. It's easy, long-term and great for health (and I eat lots of healthy carbs).
gained 18kilos here, 11 months post partum with a strict vegan diet I still can't get the last 3 kilos off. I couldn't breastfeed though, so that likely doesn't help.
my body was so messed up after just one birth that I needed reconstructive surgery a couple years after to correct the damage. I don't know how you ladies have so many children.
Russian manual medicine can help to position internal organs to their places. I went there because of back pain and the doctor explained that when I'll give birth I must come again so he will position the uterus and other organs to the right places.
Would you be able to do a video on your hair care and makeup routine for mom of many? You look so good and I know you’re busy so how do you do it?! Also, random question, do you have a bit of a Pennsylvania Dutch accent or something else? I’m just curious what I’m hearing ! So glad you’re making more videos (watched your laundry video and was sad there weren’t more homemaking videos!!!) 💛
I would love to know how you care for new babies daily with all the other kiddos. Do you baby wear? Also wondering about kids daily routines. Brushing teeth, doing hair etc. do they do themselves?
Are you thinking about having more children? And if you don't mind me asking how old are you? You look very young and beautiful, for having 15 children! You are truly amazing! God bless you.
As a nursing mother this much activity so soon was never a real option for me. My supply would drop. How do you keep your supply up or do you formula feed?
Wow everyone is different . I find having this many kids is totally scary. And I wonder why you would want to do this so many times? One was very changing for me. Good luck with your family. If you can physically and mentally pull this off that is surely a blessing. ☮️💕
Ladies, we can help each other out. We are supposed to be horizontal for 2 weeks after giving birth to help stop the blood flow. Please bring meals and coordinate meal trains to your neighbors so that your new mommy friends can work on establishing breastfeeding. We go for light walks as a family in the early weeks. Help babysit older kids so that new moms can recover. And I second her idea of the belly band, I have a Japanese 40 ft long piece of fabric that I wrap around my belly postpartum day 3.
I personally found being up and about soon after giving birth kept my bleeding time short. I was done by 3 weeks and i think it’s because i was active.
It doesn’t always go back into the right place so it’s best to wrap it. That’s why you see some women who aren’t even fat in any way at all, whose stomach is just poking out forever after a baby because it didn’t settle in the right place properly. It’s worth doing it because if it doesn’t settle properly, you can’t go back and fix it later.
Great tips! I find that yoga works well with my body. I have had right low back pain since my third baby - she was over 10 pounds. I can’t seem to overcome it, but yoga does help a lot with that, along with my mood. Highly recommend! I’m noticing a hint of an accent, maybe Wisconsin or Canadian. Or maybe I’m way off 😆
Yes! The low back pain kicked in after my 5th. The transversus abdominus exercises (tone and tighten yt channel) Took them away. Having a weak TA stressed out my back. There's hope!
I think you're misunderstanding what she's saying. After you give birth the top of your uterus is at your belly button or right below it(before it shrinks and is completely back into pelvis) she's saying she pushes down on it to move it where it belongs. There have been women whose uteruses haven't instinctively shrunk back to normal, who have tipped backwards, etc.. She may not be saying the correct words, but after 14 babies, in pretty sure she knows about her uterus and aftercare.
@@jazzyj4765 Thanks for clarifying that, and I just wanted to briefly mention that it’s more comfortable to be functional with the belly band while the swelling goes down and your body does it’s thing, going back into place. It was kind of the same concept for my reproductive lap surgery, just on a much smaller scale as my lap was a minor outpatient excision procedure. I haven’t had a cesarean and it’s a major surgery, so I’d have a hard time recommending that without your ob’s recommendation.
Your uterus absolutely can return slightly tilted or shifted causing fertility issues in the future, also what about prolapse? How would that happen if it always goes back to where it’s supposed to be?
@@alaciadavis4287 Uterine prolapse occurs when weakened or damaged muscles and connective tissues such as ligaments allow the uterus to drop into the vagina. Common causes include pregnancy, childbirth, hormonal changes after menopause, obesity, severe coughing and straining on the toilet.
