I really appreciate the effort put into these videos. Really glad I someone took the time to specialize in these vans. I Just bought a 98 Astro van for work. 300K miles but man I swear it sounds amazing. Not a single odd noise when she is running.
These older chevy's are generally very reliable if you take care of them good. and even if you don't they are still built tough. Old tranny in my astro had over 200k miles with no fluid change and still worked although it finally died this year.
Just bought the Hella kit from Summit, at first look it looks like the Hella lamps have some brackets that may interfere with the headlamp bucket. I have not yet pull the old lamps out.
@@runslikeapenguin My Chevy Astro kind of looks like the picture, except for the big Red GMC in the middle of the grill. I bought a GMC cargo van grill and but that on my Astro. Maybe if not shoveling snow in Chicago this week end, I will install the Hella lamps. Thanks
thanks for this! I installed the Hella kit. I find that the two adjustment screws, which seem to be the only thing holding the bucket to the car. are sort of wobbly. I can't really understand how the lamps stays nice and tight in the buckets. and so hard to adjust. also wish the Hella had the retainer bezel as part of the kit. Mine had broken flanges and had to pop-rivet on some new ones...
Are the Hella lamp housing glass. I had similar replacements on my Jeep Cherokee and they were riddled with rock holes from gravel flying up off the road.
Hi bud I have a 05 chevy astro awd I replace my blinkers with leds having the same problem with my lights if you can what was the upgrade flasher you use
This is exactly what mine looks like. Well, mine is lifted with 30's, but you get the idea lol www.vehiclehistory.com/evox_compressed/chevrolet/astro/2000/0507/chevrolet-astro-2000-046-0507-640.jpg

Do you want a 2002 LS Astro 149600k miles damn near Great Condition and Engine runs better than most new chevys
I really hope you plan on doing more videos. 👌
I used the rampage kit. Big improvement.
Thanks for a straightforward and simple explanation!!!!
Excellent presentation...quick and to the.point.
Have the LED bulbs and housing lasted since you made the vid in 2021? what LED bulbs would you recommend? Thanks for the quality video and narration!

If you have the cargo front like in this video, they will fit.

Did you figure out your problem?
Hi.
Do these headlamps are the same as 1st Gen Astro Van has?
Same lamps with 1gen?
Where did u buy the one with no backing.
Does this work for 97 Tahoe
They have sealed for the bottom lights too??
hi wher you get
which led fanless conversion kit do you ha?
hello if you drop screws inside the car DO NOT leave them in they will fall off and puncture a tire
I'm confused. I have a 2000 astro and the headlights are not the same as yours.
This one is the base cargo van. My 97 is set up the same way.
You should already have H4 housing if they are not he sealed beams
