For anyone interested or curious, "Wude" is a Chinese martial arts ideology that literally translates into martial(wu) morality(de). The ideology of wude went beyond the use of martial arts as a way of fighting or self defense, but to also be used as an ethical system into which you should live your life with the ultimate goal of finding inner peace with the two core virtues that wude teaches; deed and mind. The true ending of Sifu comes from sparing those the main character seeks vengeance against. By sparing his enemies, he disciplines himself in the virtue of deed. Every time he spares those that had killed his father, this is the virtue of the mind, as you can see from his facial expressions, especially relative to not sparing them, you can see there's a sort of calm/peace from controlling the emotions that have controlled him for the past eight years. So when he finally spares the last of those he swore vengeance upon, I interpret that the scene on the mountain is a symbol of the inner peace he has achieved. Oh yes, and the dragon that is seen in the horizon on the mountain top? The main character's love for Dragon Ball, and therefore, dragon in horizon.
I'm not going to lie, for the first time fighting Yang, I was in a big shock of thinking that I was about to play as Yang in the second stage because of the camera shift. I thought the game was about to pull some reverse crazy things like how the protagonist is like from the prospective of Yang
@@xXR-Player-OnexXIt's not patched on ps5 as of Jan 2024. I just did it. Stay near the wall and he'll do the wall jump kick. Duck and punish, retreat and rinse and repeat. Super cheese but super still works!

If you able to spare defeat all of them without single death and restart the level, the Dragon that flying on the far sky at the ending will be flying around you and can see it clearly.
NO WAY! I actually had that happen to me yesterday. I forced myself to do a 20 yr old play through. Just thought that was the natural ending. Thank you for pointing that out.
@@Poy0_0 damn, I got that one much later on. So Yang stole the amulet of restoring life (maybe, as he revived the bird in his hand) to save his family, but Sifu didn't allow that. He just went bitch mad for revenge. Though the good ending is you ending that bloody cycle, it also occurs even when you don't spare all bosses. Good thinking, actually, as all spared bosses will call you Sifu in the secret ending instead.
there's another ending where a semi transparent dragon is seen flying into the skies when he reach the top of the cliff. i'm not sure what triggers that ending but it's in there somewhere.
I had a hard time with it too. I don't think there's anything more to it than learning his patterns. Once you do it's just the normal parry, dodge, attack loop. Parry and attack especially. You do need to be more aggressive and quicker with your timing, though.
This fight I actually found to be easier than some of the other boss fights particularly the old lady with the long rope weapon. Just master the dodge and animations and you can take down Yang with only a few deaths.
@@AaronQ64 haha, The lady was little to no trouble. I just realised I was overthinking it and beat her second phase with no death. I was struggling with the 3. Boss. But then I started taking bat into the fight and after the 1. Phase, she is easy. But yeng was op af. I was aiming for the 25 years old achievement. Just got my platinum trophy yesterday.
@@cloudyOso He is all about upper body dodging in quick succession and then recognizing like okay when he starts a combo with a kick he will finish with a sweep. The reason I like him is if you dodge quickly you can almost always punish him hard with the e honda 100 hand slap and really beat him down.

Love this game. But also: damn this game!. No matter what I do, for some reason, there is no option for me to spare kuroki or Yang. My game is bugged, preventing me from getting the platinum. I'm very annoyed. I almost hate this game because of it
I got stuck with that also, so I figured out that you can only spare bosses that still have HP. So you need to increase his block bar instead of reducing his Hp.
Yang (and others..) has been "patched" on his weaknesses: charged fist , double raining strikes , crooked foot every time we stun him..all these skills are no more much easy Now..So, you really should make a new vidéo, because you can't no more beat him like that...

It is to symbolize they are the same. Sifu let Yang's family die so he avenged his. MC is avenging his family. The true ending breaks the cycle.

I could really use some tips staggering him in the third phase. His stagger meter just runs out so quickly

This boss fight isn't realistic because Yin doesnt bite Yang's hand after getting hit. Real siblings would absolutely wrestle.

Nothing happens. So basically, you cannot lose the 3rd phase until you beat Yang.

Parry and weving is key in both of those fights I almost killed kuroki several times by accident cause I wasn't parrying often
