This is so cool! Good job. Too cool. The next disaster game should be a coast guard helicopter rescue team game. Use those GREAT boat kits you've got. Deploy your team of rescue swimmers. High skill pilots. Horrible storms. Save those fishermen!!!
For consideration as a future expansion: “The Chase: A Trek Through the Woods”. Maintain basic rules as needed, but switch to a focus on storm chaser cars chasing the tornado. So it’s “vehicular combat”. Rules for having armored cars like the TIV/Dominator, for drone deployment a la the “Dorothy” experiment, “shoot” the tornado with Doppler Radar waves (not as efficient for data gain as the “Dorothy” drone), even more absurd mayhem rolls (the twister tossing a house at you - “I think we’re gooooiinnnnggg iiiiiiinnnnnn!” - or a fuel truck), maybe a kind of “campaign mode” or full gonzo optional rules (rules for blowing up the twister? Rules for monster-tossing tornados (cough-sharks-cough)? “Guest teams” from other game lines like NASA researchers or Nerve Hunters?)
I havent had a chance to play either yet, but both this and Don't Look Back are super interesting in how you managed to make a wargame without war; just survival.
We will definitely pick this up. Twister is my girlfriend's favorite movie. How much terrain is normally used and what variation? Would one larger building work better or worse than the three trailers? Sorry about the barrage of questions, but we want to plan out our preorder as soon as we can.
The terrain can really be whatever you want. The book suggests 1-2 structures as a good base. The more terrain the harder the game will be since the Tornado will destroy things it comes into contact with.
Sharknado Expansion? 😁😁😁
Black Site Studio's "The Chase" is the miniatures game that lets you play as something you've never played before: an unarmed Midwesterner.
Those are two words that don't usually go next to each other.

Seriously though I'm so excited to play this game. Great work, Ben! :D
This isn't a joke. This is got danged innovative thinking. I freaking love this.

Love the concept!!!!
Okay, but I’m going to need some guidance for making a tornado mini
Agreed
How did you make the one in your video?

Looks very cool. Kinda wished you could teach us how to do the tornado miniature tho. Still, very neat idea!
Separate video coming for that 🙌
Seems like it should fit right into a DLB plot. Maybe make a special building tension table. On a 1 bust out the tornado!

It’s the Philip Seymour Hoffman s lot for me. Would love to paint a Dorthy and Ram truck for this.
Bro that Dusty miniature is legit
It's the wonder of nature, baby!
You guys have to reach out to Reed Timmer! This'll make the game explode among the storm chaser community.
As a storm chaser I'm absolutely in love this! Can't wait to get it and chase!
That's awesome!
Can you tell us how you made the tornado mini and the size of the base? Thanks!! Love your channel and games!
Tornado is on a 5" base. And we'll be doing a video next week on how we make it! (Its super easy)
Can’t wait to pick this game up just in time to play in the basement during tornado season 💜

Huntin Naders! Hell yes.
So i bought and downloaded the pdf, but the entire section explaining chase crew actions and equipment is blank?! Pretty big oversight.
It’s a bug with some of the transparency on that page, we’ll get it fixed and reuploaded in the next day or so :)
The obvious question? Where are the sharks?
Lonestar Historical Miniatures dice spotted!
This game is so good
Well then
Okay, but seriously, how do I get that Tornado mini?
We made this one ourselves. We’ll have a video up soon about how to make one :)
@@BlackSiteStudios Is the how to make a twister video up?
or instead of making new games maybe catch up on all your back orders? 🤷🏻♂️
It's almost like we can do both? 🤣
Customer service told me you guys are still working on black friday orders so apparently not very well.
@@davidclaborn5499 Not recently. Customer service said that like 3 weeks ago bud.
@@martialdoug Thanks bud
Why not put out games every 3 weeks and abandon the stuff you made 9 weeks ago.
Wtf is this comment Lolol
Might be me, but I can't find the game on the website... 🫤
April Fool's joke all along?
