So much potential for this game as well. Different modes, missions, vehicles, and other implementations. MAN I can't tell you how cool of a concept this is. I love storms and would've loved to be a storm chaser. One slight gripe I have is I feel like the quality of the clouds/rain is pretty low. Obviously this is an indie title so you're kinda limited to a certain extent with what you can achieve, but I'd love some more atmosphere, especially when you're outside. That feeling of being exposed, in a field with an impending storm has to be nailed! Will be following development on this!
My guess is right now they're working on or have just finished working on the actual physics of the storms. Programming the physics and appearance of something like this is IMMENSELY difficult, especially if you want to prevent lag. A barebones appearance also makes it easier to make sure you have it all working properly. Most likely they will fix the graphics later if they haven't already started.
My fondest memories are 'refueling' at various diners in-between chases. The deflation from the previous chase, the stories ppl tell & the anticipation for the next one is unmatched.

Since me and my friends from uni probably not make it to the United States for Storm Chasing this simulator could be a cool and fun experience. Apart from minecraft and portal there's never been a game I was ever hyped beyond these countless games nowadays. But that one could meet my taste exactly. It's also really cool that they use actual data from weather models which I think really stands out.
4 years + 2 days i been waiting for this game, i wishlisted it on 18/05/2020 and now finally a date!!! i can not chase in real life due to living in the UK, but it is my dream to chase at least once in my life, i wish i backed this game but they already reached the goal, but i can not wait till its released :) thank you guys for making this game!
Love the looks of this game! That said I would love to see your character taken damage if you get into hail core and as you get closer to tornado it takes longer to move as the wind is stronger. NPC traffic would be a nice touch for chasers to deal with
Always had an obsession with these kinds of storm chasing games on Roblox. Glad that there's finally going to be a fully developed experience, looking forward to it!
A radar monitoring mode would be really cool, but a sandbox mode where you can set up your own storm parameters would be insane. You could have a competitive mode with the weather controller trying to take out the storm chasers.
I got this a couple of days ago. At first it’s weird but it’s fun, looks good and there are really funny moments. On one chase, the tornado changed direction towards me and threw my car. I enjoy it.
i hope the ground/car graphics will be a bit more detailed so the world wont look so flat in the end product but other than that...wow. this game is really impressive. The cloud movent is amazing and i found myself doing a double take several times throughout the video because the storm formations looked so convincing.
one of the things I loved about like old roblox storm chasing games is that you could play as a civilian or even the weather service issueing tornado warnings and such i think that would be great in actual steam games like this and stops me personally from playing other games lke storm chasers. its fun for like an hour to take pictures and intercept tornadoes but then it gets old adding some roleplay elements could really keep the game fresh and interesting. one last thing, i hope the game is better optimised than storm chasers as that one does run pretty bad alot of the time and this seems so much better
as someone who is both traumatised by and fascinated with severe storms and tornadoes, i want to play this game. storm chasing is so interesting and really cool, but no way i’d do that irl 💀
I can’t wait till this comes out, I’ve always wanted to go storm chasing and learn more about severe weather. Is it going to have like random lobbies or if you don’t have anybody to play with you’d be playing by yourself?
Nice. I already had this wishlisted. Its nice to see actual gameplay. Looks promising. I've been wanting someone to make a storm chasing game like this. All the others just don't really look like there's a whole lot going on.
I hope there's a gamemode where you can play as the tornado and cause destruction, then get a little news report scene after you choose to dissapate, I'm really into destruction.
I know this is not the place to give suggestions probably but I really hope you add storm chasing dedicated vehicles like the Dom one Dom two Dom three Tiv one and two maybe even a Doppler on wheels in the future
are the colored skies in this game too, with the sunlight reflecting off of rain/hail and turning the sky green or red depending on the time in a big storm
There is a game similar to this already on Roblox but it doesn't look half as good as this graphically. Tornadoes scare the crap out of me but that fear makes me study that kind of weather closer, and while i wouldnt have the guts to storm chase in real life, A game like this will let me be able to do that virtually at least. I will wishlist this today. Btw, im new to the channel, i didn't realize you covered Roblox already.
If there's a way or a mode in-game to load up historic F5's and EF5's and be able to chase those would be awesome. Imagine playing and be able to chase the Joplin or Moore monsters....
A "Weather Service" mode would be cool where you play solely to monitor the radar and issue warnings based off of radar indications and what storm spotters are reporting.
Similar to how some flight sims have both pilot mode and ATC mode to pick from.
The final version of Outbreak had better have a National Weather Service game mode.

I've been chasing tornadoes for over 20 years and this game is pretty damn accurate. The HRRR model is also a fantastic model.
This game uses the WRF not the HRRR but agreed with everything else
Needs:
-Reed Timmer sound board
-Electable Sean Casey skin for the one in the group who keeps missing the tornados
Otherwise looks real good

Oh my goodness its like storm chasers but like actually nearly done. Wow!! This looks like a blast for the boys.
I can't wait to see outbreak this game looks so cool I can't wait for this to come on your channel soon. I was a trip this weekend. Have you a great weekend as well Jeff. I always enjoy watching all of your video's Jeff.
imagine if they also paired with beamng as a collab to use vehicles like that and with that destruction physics
Dude this looks amazing! Looking forward to the release and seeing you play it!
Omg this is exactly what I’ve been waiting for in a storm chasing game!! It’s beautiful
Wahhoooooooo ! 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪
Just needs some Pecos Hank music to complete the experience.
And some turtles or snakes we can stop and save from the road 🤣
Since me and my friends from uni probably not make it to the United States for Storm Chasing this simulator could be a cool and fun experience. Apart from minecraft and portal there's never been a game I was ever hyped beyond these countless games nowadays. But that one could meet my taste exactly. It's also really cool that they use actual data from weather models which I think really stands out.
Me discovering this video 2 days before the game drops
This game could actually benefit people greatly as it'll give them knowledge on how to identify and survive bad storms
Looks like a lot of fun, I can't wait to pick it up this summer!
DUDE AT 2:26 I WAS LIKE "LOOK HOW DARK THE SKY IS" BRO IT LOOKED LIKE A NIGHTMARE 😂
completely forgot about this game and its finally here! nice video as always jeff
Oh this looks SO COOL! Wishlisted!
I'd love to see more of this game.
I enjoy it.
1:42 based off of the map, you could've went south for a better view (I think) and follow it over there
This has been on my watchlist for quite awhile.
I’ve been waiting for a storm chasing simulator 😊
This looks awesome. It'll be fun if they can add realistic unpredictability to the storms and have a larger map.
This looks absolutely incredible! Wow! Jeff always with the amazing storm content! 🔥🙌⛈️🌪️
do
you have to go full " reed timmer " once a tornado hits the ground .
Definitely going on my wishlist, I’ve been waiting for a game like this for a long time! I’m excited for the multiplayer function especially.
i hope the ground/car graphics will be a bit more detailed so the world wont look so flat in the end product but other than that...wow. this game is really impressive. The cloud movent is amazing and i found myself doing a double take several times throughout the video because the storm formations looked so convincing.
One thing we'll ABSOLUTELY need to see is reduced visibility with high precipitation. Other than that, looks fantastic!
Great video, can’t wait for the game and more videos on it!
This game looks fantastic ! Impressed with the realistic radar.
one of the things I loved about like old roblox storm chasing games is that you could play as a civilian or even the weather service issueing tornado warnings and such i think that would be great in actual steam games like this and stops me personally from playing other games lke storm chasers. its fun for like an hour to take pictures and intercept tornadoes but then it gets old adding some roleplay elements could really keep the game fresh and interesting. one last thing, i hope the game is better optimised than storm chasers as that one does run pretty bad alot of the time and this seems so much better
Storm chaser was cool as a concept but this just takes tornado chasing as a game to a new level. Thanks for sharing this, 100% wishlisted.
I have never had big interest in storm, but seeing this game and how it portrays them, peaked my interest for sure. Looks incredible!
The best thing is clearly the windshield wipers
@@ThatTwistedDudeYT *"Twisted"* on *_Roblox_* needs this, as well as *high-beam headlights!*
Looking forward to playing this!
as someone who is both traumatised by and fascinated with severe storms and tornadoes, i want to play this game. storm chasing is so interesting and really cool, but no way i’d do that irl 💀
It would be interesting to see if TIV 1 ( and 2 of course ) will be added to the game
I hope there's a gamemode where you can play as the tornado and cause destruction, then get a little news report scene after you choose to dissapate, I'm really into destruction.
YOOOO THIS GAME LOOKS AMAZING, ALREADY I DIDN'T NOTICE ANY BUGS
As an IRL spotter/radio guy, this will be VERY addictive. Can't wait!
Nice I feel this game has some potential ! Great video Jeff
Of course, they put the vehicles in left-hand drive proper, but just can't help but print the dash speedometer in kph.
idek, Outbrk was that complex & detailed it looks like a new up-to-date weather type of game.
I know this is not the place to give suggestions probably but I really hope you add storm chasing dedicated vehicles like the Dom one Dom two Dom three Tiv one and two maybe even a Doppler on wheels in the future
oh my gosh i cant wait for this! yep this is way better then the other storm chasing game we played
Had this on my wishlist awaiting the moment for ages, I screamed when I saw this
are the colored skies in this game too, with the sunlight reflecting off of rain/hail and turning the sky green or red depending on the time in a big storm
The audio in this game is so insane
Wow! It's in anaglyph 3d at 00:28 of the video!? Get out those red/blue 3d glasses.
Looks really promising, I've been waiting for a successor of Storm Chasers
This game is going to be great for me! I live in Australia so It's very rare to see a tornado. Would say never but i saw one this year!
i have had outbrk on my wish list for over a year now cant wait
If there's a way or a mode in-game to load up historic F5's and EF5's and be able to chase those would be awesome. Imagine playing and be able to chase the Joplin or Moore monsters....
