Good review! I vote yes to a budget friendly and beginners photography gear video.

I think what I love most about this bag is how Evergoods actually listened to feedback from the community and made improvements over the previous version. The V1 had no top quick access pocket and the front vertical panel had no organization so everything would just fall to the bottom. It was clever of them to use that extra space toward the back of the bag and make it into a top quick access pocket - that and the added organization in the front panel escalated this bag up like five notches. However, I wish they would make this more right-handed friendly (I’m one of those people who finds it more natural to swing the bag over my right shoulder). But it’s great for lefties like you. How’s the dust/lint situation? I did notice some on the front of your bag. Still looks like an amazing bag and top contender!

Dust factor plus dog hair was a little sticky. I noticed my dogs hair did stick a lot. Other than that not bad at all!

Great review! If you could pick between this bag and the evergoods max which would you go for and why? I'm looking between the cpl28 or the able carry max

I really like the able carry Max personally. One of the best I’ve used this year for sure.

Thanks for your honest review. Since the bag doesn't have external side water bottle pockets, i was wondering if you could kindly let me know if the external front vertical long pocket could comfortably hold 2 water bottles (16 oz each) so it can compensate for the lack of external side pockets and be used instead to carry them ? thanks again!

That’s tough. I think you could fit one but two would be pushing the depth of the pocket.

Pretty sure you climb... I'm looking for a bag I can use as a personal item (under seat) that will hold my travel climbing gear (shoes x2, harness, chalk bag and small medic kit... I can get all of the above into a Fjallraven 17" Laptop bag with just a bit of room to spare, but this bag does not look as deep as the Fjallraven. I can also use my Black Diamond Street Creek 24, but it's not really carry friendly when you have a carryon back pack. Do you think this 24 will hold my gear given the shallow appearance of the interior of the bag? (I wish more bag makers and reviewers would give the interior dimensions as well as the exterior dimensions) Thank you!!

Hey! Good call on interior and exterior dimensions. Adding that to my list! I don’t know if this would be a good bag for that. I use my Wandrd PRVKE 21 and sometimes 31 Liter for my gear when I’m solo. Mainly when I climb it’s two of us so I’m using a bigger bag than normal.

@@OdieMatthews thanks for the reply! I opted to give the Evergoods PLC20 a look see. While it’s smaller on paper than the CPL24, it looks a tad deeper and the big front dump pocket might offer some flexibility that neither of my other bags have. Time will tell. Keep up the excellent reviews!

Hey, curious if you still use this pack very often?

your advice? for my son for college: I almost didn't mention "quality" because if I am looking at videos like this vs amazon I think that proves that one :), water bottle pockets (not internal), COMFORT, room for books, heavy books, some organization are our main wants. I have on my radar Evergoods CHZ 26 (wish the 28 but no water :( ), waterfield pro, synik 30.
