I messed up my finger & some days I cant play my bar chords, but what helped me is rolling my finger to the boney-er(???) part of your finger as you press the chords. & if you play electric, consider an acoustic for exercising since a lot of acoustics seem to require more pressure.
& honestly dont stress it too much though just keep playing & enjoying it. One way or another it'll come to you!

Over time I also became more and more familiar self teaching standard tuned guitar. Nice little instructional channel here and LOVE the tone of yer LP through whatever pedal/amp rig you're going through. I seriously broke the rules by first learning heavy open tuned guitar & some slide. Rule breaking is one of my favorite aspects of playing guitar and shall remain so until I check in to the next world..................oh and I also subscribed :)

Me too that's a great way to put it. They are literally our future. Their timezone is a day earlier than us in the USA. SAVE us Charlie from not being able to play our beautiful guitars!!!

I found this lick pretty useful in improv (especially slow blues sorta stuff) to go from second position (minor pentatonic) up towards first position. Nice!

More proof that the guitar as we know it is tuned to the 5 note scale also known as pentatonic minor 1st position or 5th position major. Love it!!! Happy new year! 🍻
