These lessons are great for someone like me, who can't get out anymore and started playing guitar to keep my sanity. I got so far on my own but your channel has helped me so much. Thank you for this. I have lung cancer and playing my guitar makes me happy and distracts me from the pain. So anything I can learn from you is so helpful.

I’ve been taking weekly lessons for over a year now… I try to augment my lessons with UA-cam channels, such as yours. I can’t say enough about this video - it was a huge help and gave me a little insight on what I need to focus on. Weekly 1 on 1 instruction, I can’t say enough about it vs only online tutorials. Some folks can do without face to face, while others need to have interaction - that’s me. Regardless of one’s learning preference, its a journey and gaining more insight is essential, and your videos have helped me tremendously. Mad kudos to you! 🎉

Thanks alot Eddie, after one year watching and reading about triads and never gotten it really so I can use it , you broke the code to triads for me.
You describe it on the dummy-proof level. You are one of my most favorite YT guitar instructors.
    Wish you the best.

This is one of the things that I have been missing. I understand all the arpeggio(s), terminology, inversions, etc...taught myself all that stuff with various books and music dictionary etc... I also made some major jumps lately.....but this is gonna explode some things for me because I have a lot of ideas and lyrics that I need to put music too....this will definitely help me!
I'll keep our an eye for your videos now!
My first music teacher (6th grade) helped me to stop stuttering with the guitar lessons.

I really enoyed this lesson. It has opened my eyes clearly to everything I sort of knew theory wise (i.e. triad / chord inversions) but now easily translated to the guitar. Just playing around with these concepts with confidence now you are correct when you say "you are more musical than you think". Thank you for this brilliant lesson!

Eddie is outstanding Guitarist and Guitar Teacher! I’ve been really focusing on triads myself, I know the caged system with the help of Eddie and Charlie Wallace at Guitar mastery method.
Triads really give the ability to accompany others, without stepping on the other musicians playing! , while at the same time using the triads to really add feel.. helps Emphasize chord tones!

Thanks so much. This lesson crystalizes a bunch of stuff for me! I can apply these principles to one of my favorite things, rhythm playing like the greats I (musically) grew up on. Paul Jackson Jr, Dan Huff, Dean Parks, Lukather et al - all those guys who created simple yet amazing parts in hit songs. I hear them all, arpeggios, triads and licks built I imagine just like this.
    Subbed!

Just on the naming/numbering of the inversions, to summarize what you said: the triad is made up of the 1-3-5 notes of the scale, and you don't call it an inversion if the lowest note is the root. So the first inversion is the one that "starts" with the 3rd (3-5-1), and the second is the one that starts with the 5th (5-1-3). Do I have that right?
