These lessons are great for someone like me, who can't get out anymore and started playing guitar to keep my sanity. I got so far on my own but your channel has helped me so much. Thank you for this. I have lung cancer and playing my guitar makes me happy and distracts me from the pain. So anything I can learn from you is so helpful.
This is a great lesson. Taking chords in a progression, to triads and arpeggios is what every players needs. Well done. Then you get to understand common notes and key phases.
I’ve been taking weekly lessons for over a year now… I try to augment my lessons with UA-cam channels, such as yours. I can’t say enough about this video - it was a huge help and gave me a little insight on what I need to focus on. Weekly 1 on 1 instruction, I can’t say enough about it vs only online tutorials. Some folks can do without face to face, while others need to have interaction - that’s me. Regardless of one’s learning preference, its a journey and gaining more insight is essential, and your videos have helped me tremendously. Mad kudos to you! 🎉
Thanks alot Eddie, after one year watching and reading about triads and never gotten it really so I can use it , you broke the code to triads for me. You describe it on the dummy-proof level. You are one of my most favorite YT guitar instructors. Wish you the best.
This a perfect lesson for me I have a thirst for understanding why things are played the way they are and how they relate to each other I think with this type of understanding it makes playing the guitar all tat much easier Thank you
Thanks for sharing what we can do with triads playing options when we are improvising or soloing over a song - this really helps every musician wanting to play all over the guitar fretboard in a simple and easy proven techniques that works every time
Thank you for your work here, I’m over 40 it’s a bit hard start now but I always wanted and I started again , but your lessens is so simple to understand, Thnaks Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
I want to take it to the next level. Simple on a piano but sophisticated on a guitar. You explained very well how to blend those chords and arpeggios into beautiful melodies! Thanks
I just stumbled onto this, and have only watched a few minutes at 4am... but think this is the best teaching on triads I've ever come across... it's all making SENSE! Thanks SO much!!!
Very cool lesson - to explain triads by using those two chords is genius. It simplifies a vast topic. I’m sure I’ve said this previously but you’re a good communicator and teacher. Well done.
This is one of the things that I have been missing. I understand all the arpeggio(s), terminology, inversions, etc...taught myself all that stuff with various books and music dictionary etc... I also made some major jumps lately.....but this is gonna explode some things for me because I have a lot of ideas and lyrics that I need to put music too....this will definitely help me! I'll keep our an eye for your videos now! My first music teacher (6th grade) helped me to stop stuttering with the guitar lessons. I am 60 now and still learning.....it's a love/hate relationship with the guitar.😊l😂
I really enoyed this lesson. It has opened my eyes clearly to everything I sort of knew theory wise (i.e. triad / chord inversions) but now easily translated to the guitar. Just playing around with these concepts with confidence now you are correct when you say "you are more musical than you think". Thank you for this brilliant lesson!
Excellent instruction 🙂 I have been playing MANY years and know how to play many songs BUT STILL learning music theory - thank you for sharing your nuggets to make all players better . Mr Sandman 👍🙂✌️
This is a way better direction than chasing Triads up.and down the neck ...I have need going crazy trying to put them together ...This is by far the best I've seen...I'm shooting for A & C next..
Eddie is outstanding Guitarist and Guitar Teacher! I’ve been really focusing on triads myself, I know the caged system with the help of Eddie and Charlie Wallace at Guitar mastery method. Triads really give the ability to accompany others, without stepping on the other musicians playing! , while at the same time using the triads to really add feel.. helps Emphasize chord tones!
Thanks so much. This lesson crystalizes a bunch of stuff for me! I can apply these principles to one of my favorite things, rhythm playing like the greats I (musically) grew up on. Paul Jackson Jr, Dan Huff, Dean Parks, Lukather et al - all those guys who created simple yet amazing parts in hit songs. I hear them all, arpeggios, triads and licks built I imagine just like this. Subbed!
Great stuff…truly an eye opener…and on the 12th minute when you say ‘now we are done with the boring stuff’ I’m like nothing boring about the last 12 minutes at all 😂 never realized what the actual inversions on the guitar were…great stuff!
This is Epic. Great lesson. I just saved this one to go over again and again and again and again.. LOVE THIS! Thanks Eddie. You must have seen my comment asking for a lesson on Triads.
Dude put a lot of time into planning this lesson; buncha time into recording, then tons of editing it all together. The result is that even this beginner was able to comprehend the lesson. Now that is a great teacher! I appreciate this a LOT.
Man I am so surprised and glad I found you explaining this, yesterday I was looking up some song chords chart that wasn't able to understand what chords are using but they call em same names ! Now I know clearly it is all about triads !bro thank you so much! :)
Your lesson on triads came up next as I was checking out another lesson of "Winchester Cathedral". Really liked your definition of triads as "chord fragments". Overall your triads lesson is excellent.
Wow!! Some of that actually got through my thick head!! You're a good teacher, I'm a very slow learner in this endeavor. But it's one I have always wanted to master, thanks. I'll be checking the channel out.

Eddie is the Best, he makes it all so simple to follow and understand.
I started this journey a while ago, and it's been amazing since then. Every guitarist needs to master the triads.

This guy is such a great teacher....wish I discovered him 30 years ago.
Don't know why more instructional videos don't teach intervals & theory. It's always first finger 3rd fret 2nd string kind of talk.
I like his teaching style as well as his material. He is a gift for sure.

Bingo!
Maybe the best teacher online. Thanks for your efforts.
14:48 The melody you played for this example may involve Triads, but this is a better example of the use of arpeggios!
Yup, it’s both!
Thank you!
