Yes I really liked this video. A lot of attractive pieces and wear you can purchase them. I'm basically a casual dresser, but I also like some trends. The off the shoulder is a style I like.
Wow, I didn't know about the sweater over dresses trend....Funny that it's a trend now, because a month ago, I bought some Walmart cotton sun dresses in Terra Cotta, and Rust, one is below the knee, one is above, and they pair really well with all of my sweaters, which range in color from oatmeal to warm brown, to off white to tan, but they are all somewhat warm or neutral. Some are turtle necks, some are cropped, some are tunic, but they all look great over these two dresses. I have a pair of taupe suede booties and fake suede warm brown knee boots that looked really good with either dress. The Taupe looks phenomenal with Terra cotta and rust colors. I love mixing up the warm colors together. And surprise of surprises! My Teal sweater looks fantastic over these two very warm dresses also! Paired with the warm brown knee boots, it looked downright delicious!!
How about a video showing how to style these full skirts? I have slender shoulders so these overwhelm my frame-perhaps there is workaround? I too love fur and suede. Thanks for the ideas.
Trends are fun! I have started buying my classics in natural fibers and paying a bit more for longevity. But for trends, I love Walmart or Target or Amazon. Walmart has been doing a great job with affordable, trendy styles. If your body size is stable and you have space in your closet, save the trends. They will come back! At 58 yrs, my beloved wide leg pants have come back again. What I wish would come back now is cold or even cooler weather! I lived in Maine for 15 yrs. I'm back in the deep south of Alabama and I miss fall and winter!
I also save my high-quality, natural-fiber wardrobe items forever, styles do come back in. Plus, I try to buy the most classic, timeless styles I can, it helps give them longevity. But, I’m allergic so to plastics, so I can’t wear any synthetics, even to get trends, which gets expensive!🙂
Patent leather is (or was) real leather with a permanently shiny, “patented” (originally) waterproof finish. But, be cautious, many brands are calling their plastic faux leathers “patent leather”, they’re not. I never liked patent leather because the finish removes leather’s best qualities, its ability to soften, stretch to custom-fit the foot and its breathability. Sezane is the only company I know that still makes genuine patent leather, if you still want it. It’s still better than plastic, but not much. I only buy genuine leather or suede, I can’t wear plastics.
I don’t think any short skirts or dresses are “elegant”. I loved the wrap green skirt and the coats were fantastic ! Off the shoulder is a huge favourite.
In photo #2 the faux fur cropped jacket and the short shorts isn't elegant, imo. There's a disconnect; a jacket with shorts? Who's wearing this? I love your videos and recommendations but this one missed the mark, for me.
I wouldn’t want to wear real fur, anyway, those poor animals are raised in miserable conditions then killed just for their fur. I’m ok with cow leather, because the cattle are killed for meat anyway, we might as well use the other parts of the animals. I can’t wear plastics, so it has to be real leather. I think faux fur, or any fur, would be too hot for me anyway. I get by fine with wool and cashmere.
I love real fur. It’s the warmest and lasts forever if you take care of it. Each to their own but animals that die in the wild are suffering much worse than they do with modern farming techniques.

Fashion is circular-I had very similar full skirts in the 80’s and 90’s. Kept a few, but should have held onto more of them.
Thanks for sharing!
Fall colors look especially nice on you!! You host the season and extend the invitation very well! Thanks for the fun ideas, bless you!!😊
Oh, thank you so much! 💖

I am glad you liked it! I love the off-the-shoulder look too!
I like the patent leather jackets. In my opinion, they're trendy. ❤❤❤
They definitely are trendy!

That's so cool that you were ahead of the trend! Thanks so much for sharing!
Elegant, classic style forever!
Yes it is! And it's great when it's on trend because you can find more of it!
I just got the quince suede bag you showed and it is gorgeous!
Oh, nice! I bet it is! Thank you for sharing!

Oh, that would be such a fun video to do! Thanks for the idea!

They are fun and I agree on all of what you said! I live in Tennessee and I wish we had more fall weather! Thanks for sharing!

Love the blouse you're wearing. Pretty things but not for me with the exception of the fuller A line skirts :)
Thank you! I love A-line skirts too!

The links for those are in the description and it's from Banana Republic or BR Factory.

It wasn't about the outfit, it was about the jacket. I should have cut off the image to just show the jacket. Sorry about that.
Jamie, you're always telling us to "be kind" (which is great), but you must know there's nothing kind about the way leather and suede are produced.
im not an elegant kind of person ....
Lol, I would not consider myself and "elegant" person either but I do like elegant pieces in my wardrobe to wear at times.
Why?
