  • This is an AWESOME live 1979 era performance of Lindsey's classic song ~ Tusk (one of my faves)!! This is from Fleetwood Mac's GREAT Tusk Documentary. I (fondly) remember first watching this (and the rest of this doc.) when I was 12 years old (back in early 1981) with my mother.
The pretty guitar instrumental at the very beginning was a fave of Lindsey's dad who passed away back in 1974. He had said in a 2003 radio interview that it was something that he used to sit around and play for him.
No claim or copyright infringement intended.
    Enjoy!! ~ Jackie (:

I remember hearing this song I think in 1980 or around that range and I always loved that song.
They totally broke free from the disco garbage of the era, just as people had to break free from the grunge era of the 1990s.

You think Lindsey looks handsome here, look at clips from the 1982 Mirage tour, he looks even hotter. And his first solo album album cover photo from 1981 he looks like a movie star. He is as good looking as Stevie, but she became such a huge sex cymbal that it overshadowed how good looking Lindsey is. And as odd a song as Tusk was for a radio hit from the Mac in 1979, it has always been a great live song in concert.

That's what I understand - charisma! He really came to the forefront of the group, but he also distanced himself from the other members of the group. I wonder where Lindsay got such energy, because in 1975 and 1976 he was so calm, responsive, smiling... And this wild emotion, mesmerizing facial expressions and virtuoso guitar riffs in the early 1980s...

That was fun, but this is a strange song, one of the oddest things ever to be a big FM radio hit. But somehow Lindsey seems to have really believed in it, and because of that I guess the other band members were convinced. It comes off really well here. But it is such a fuckin' weird song. The seventies were a good time.

Tara Gamble lol, no. Better to not date him at this time. According to his girlfriend at the time, he beat her on a regular basis. Something corroborated by Stevie and Mick Fleetwood himself.

1979 Buckingham puts the relationship with Nicks in total perspective. He looked like he was a handful! He is my forever crush frozen in 1979.
