Hello Ma’am, I accidentally came across your channel about a month back..watched few videos..it was so inspirational that now I’m currently looking for a land if my own. I hv kinda zeroed in one small piece of land abt 2 acre if all goes well then it shall be soon bought next week n should be up n running in couple of months. Thank u for parting such valuable information. Looking forward for more informative videos on how to get started - designing, what kind of trees go well with which plants, how to handle snake problem, home tour, storage facilities, boundary wall and driveway. I must admit I have no knowledge about farms trees plantation but I know I would enjoy learning all the steps. I’m hopeful that I will get a chance to visit your farm someday and meet you in person. Thank u for being an inspiration.
Any land size is always good to start with. Start a fruit forest, add flower and vegetable garden. Flowers can support your beekeeping and butterflies too 🐝 organic honey 🍯❤️
The third part was really interesting and full of information that I hadn't come across frequently. Esp. the fact that it is local knowledge from the Indian perspective is really valuable. Thanks for taking the time out and sharing your knowledge with all of us!

You are great inspiration for me and my wife. I'm from Tamilnadu, I'll buy land in few months and will start making like ur Parma culture land in few yea. I'll show my land to you to feel proud how much u inspired us...
Hey hi . I am from Bangalore . U said u r buying land in a few months. Can u suggest any places where we could buy agricultural land in Tamil Nadu. Thanks in advance 😇
Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to keep posting very informative and motivating videos for us, consistently. Much appreciate it! Involving the local community and raising their standard of living was very interesting to know. That is something I would like to do as well but depends on where I can obtain land. I enjoyed this video and felt it finished quickly! 😊
Madam I watch all your videos!! Earlier I was living in Delhi but now have shifted to Bihar, my home state and want to start permaculture on my ancestral land.
Questions for how to start 1. Can one acre land offer self sufficiency and simple residence for two small families (2+4)? 2. How important is selecting the breed of fruit trees? Should time be spend on hunting good breed of saplings or plant whatever we find early on? P.s. eagerly waiting for you small garden series.
Please tell us, how do you manage paying your farm staff. Are you doing it out of your farm production or from your savings or pocket. It would be so much helpful if you can tell.
I respect your dream , I had similar dream but being in London.. I am waiting for my dream to get full filled. Coming from a agriculture family , I have never asked my husband anything other than Farming land.wishing you happiness and health. Hopefully My dream will come true one day.
Thanks once again for another informative video. Question - Does your farm generates enough revenues to sustain 10 full time employees and other associated expenses? If yes, can you share a ball park number for the monthly expense you incurred? This is important for people like me who are close to retirement and thinking of doing something similar but wish to be cautious not to put selfs retired life in debt.
Thanks for part 3. Your talks have always been motivating. Please do cover pest management, soil quality enhancement in terms of lowering the chemical load initially, best wind breaking trees that can be useful and goat and bee keeping. Thanks again.
Very informative video specially about keeping people on salaried instead of daily wages , this way they will be very loyal to us as they will feel financially secure and finally they will be working whole heartdly. Expecting mode informative videos in future
Very useful information. My experience - it took us over 2 years - after numerous visits and weekends sacrificed, to find a piece of land to our satisfaction. Once the land is finalised, and before the actual transaction, it is advisable to spend as much time as possible at the site before you feel its the right place. All the best to the prospective land owners/custodians.
You are really impressive. Your words not only describe permaculture but also real meaning of life/nature. If you possible could you please share cost per acre for permaculture

Thank you for your wonderful details video. Could you please share some advice what should I do when I got the land which surrounded by other farmers who use chemical fertilizer or spray which inevitably affect the area ?
Hello Manisha, Thanks for the video. :) Here is my question, Have you faced any challenges of wildlife destroying crops? How do you manage such situations with wildlife?
Is a flat area better or a slightly sloping area for farming? Mainly multi crops, fruit trees, different vegetables. Also from a water retention and erosion perspective, what is your opinion among the two types of farm land
Hey Manisha, congratulations on another amazing video!! I have been following Aananda's journey since 2 years now 😊 and I have found your instructions very practical. In your opinion, what is a decent amount of land to start a permaculture farm without a pond and not growing few plants/crops like cereals?
Happy Evening Manisha ma'am. It is so pleasant and equally very inspiring to see your sincere hard work towards building a beautiful huge biodiversity I would say. I have couple of questions :- 1. How did your start funding the project? What was the process or the journey of monetary support you needed? 2. How did you manage your job in the initial days??? 3. Do you or your family has any other sources of income? Is it good to have a regular job as well??? I mean to ask is it even possible??? 4. How much capital do you initially need to start. Right from buying the land to giving it a start 5. How does your project, give you monetary benefits to support your financial needs for the project and for yourself. 6. What are your tips for beginners. How do we exactly begin. I have more to ask, for now this should do. Eagerly waiting for your kind reply. Thank you so much.

Good day Ma'am, Thanks, am enjoying the learning from your well thought videos. Ma'am is your farm self sustaining? In the sense that does the farm produce enough income for the salary of the staff. Regards
Yes it does. But not by selling food. Because food is too cheap in our country, and will always be kept cheap because we are a poor nation and if food becomes expensive, governments will fall! You must augment your farm income with other value added experiences for which people are willing to pay. Like tours, workshops, stays, a cafe etc.
Dear Manish Ji, you are an inspiration 🙏 I plan to but a one acre farm and start natural chemical free farming. Do you recommend Subhash Palekar's multi layer method which claims a decent amount of earnings from one acre farm after 2-3 years.
First, we dont 'procure' people. We engage them and pay fair wages for their efforts. We have so much unemployment in our country. Am sure you'll find people to help you
When we have a land surrounded with farm lands owned by others there would be a resistance from surrounding farm owners when we want to grow trees even if we want to grow trees on our land because our trees would eventually cause shading on their crops. Have you also faced such situation ?
Hello Manisha ji, Thanks a lot on sharing your experiences for farm land acquisition & development, looking forward for upcoming videos With respect to increasing soil fertility naturally what is your experience/suggestions on sowing and mulching various plants for fixing nitrogen & other minerals etc. ?
in some states rules for purchasing agricultural land is little relaxed, so purchase small piece there and based on that you can then purchase land in other state of choice. There are some property agents who can help you with that. Also if any of your ancestors owned any land decades ago you can pull those records and use it to purchase farm land now. if not from your side and then try on wife side
may paddy field converting to a forest may not be that easy. I think there are states like Kerala, where you cannot convert Paddy field to anything else. You have to do paddy only. Not sure about other states though.
Trustworthy broker..wow , is there such an animal?. Once a broker has shown you three four plots..do your due diligence on your OWN!!! Pay for a lawyer and don't use a "document writer" . Go to the village 3 -4 times, sit at the local tea shop get friendly with village folk.. you might even get another land cheaper!!
Planning to buy a piece of land , about an acre. It's not permacultured. It's a plain land with only cash crops growing. HOW do we start this pemaculture thing.
How many of you have watched Manisha's TEDx Talk? - ua-cam.com/video/C7xUUHc4vYc/v-deo.html

Other things one should check while buying land

- boundary shown matches to map as per land records
- Electricity connection
- trouble of wild animals

in some states rules for purchasing agricultural land is little relaxed, so purchase small piece there and based on that you can then purchase land in other state of choice.
Good mam

Hello Mam. Beside the land, How much capital will it require on an average per acre?
Dear mam

@6:52 the broker should be trustworthy.......
otherwise it will be another "khosla ka ghosla"
:)
HOW do we start this pemaculture thing.
me too, which location are you planning to buy or already bought. have a good day.
Keep watching this channel, we will share more knowledge soon!
