Congrats Girls. I was amazed after learning that You were able to manage the Digital Platforms. Keep it up. You are doing good.
Thank you so much 🤗
Thank you for this video. This answered quite a few of my questions.
A 5 person army manning your 12 acre farm is fabulous. Your videos are fast becoming a big inspiration for me to start my own project on our ancestral land. I only wish my father had not sold off a substantial portion of it.
Finally a big thumbs up to Radha & Eera. ( I do hope I have spelled it correctly. Apologies if I haven't)
Thanks for your kind words Ayon - it's Radha and Ira :)
Great efforts by Radha and Ira, Thank you for sharing the knowledge 😊
amazing efforts from Radha and Ira in supporting their mom's efforts and hard work!! Bravo Girls!
Thank you!
Each and every video is so well directed won't feel like missing a second of it. So informative and best thing is whoever sees the video will feel even I should start working on field. Big thank you and your family the Aanandaa's. 😊
So sweet of you to say, thank you!
Also have a question. Have you planted bamboo, I have heard good things about it. What is your opinion.
It was a pleasant experience watching this video, tree behind you, birds & bee's sound throughout... Just like being there... Soothing...
Keep it up, God bless you & your daughters...

Thanks for answering many questions. It has inspired me to start an organic farm somewhere near Mangalore (Karnataka) where I live.
Hats off to your young daughters for putting up nice digital content !!
So nice of you, thank you!
Viewed the complete video....ma'am u are lucky enough to have such dedicated work force. Jzt reminded me about my case. I too am a banker by profession, have a farm house measuring 5 acres with 150 mango trees and about 100 teak trees at the boundary. A hill on one side. Everything like yours could have been done. Infact I tried my level best in terms of money. Had 4 cows, 43 hens, two dogs n 2 cocktails. But,,,but,,,the laborers, 3 of them those stupid fellows destroyed my farm. They ruined my dream. It affected my job as well as my farm. U wont believe, every year during winters a herd of elephants would enter my farm during night but would do no damage except breaking one or two branches. Monkeys would wait for us to reach the farm. I loved all these as I love n respect nature. Reason y am sharing all dese with you is ur videos give me respite. I watch all your videos completely as I feel m in my farm. Thought of sharing my experience. God bless you and your family. Keep uploading videos. Thanks a ton for sharing your videos.
Fo sho the kids are doing a great job! Just one suggestion, please do keep the opening/background score at the same or lower volume levels as the speech part, so we can sit back and focus on the content than fidgeting with the volume buttons constantly; apart from that, y'all are an awesome team!
Already noted. Newer videos have no background music
i started watching your videos for information that i could apply to my little plot, but just watching your videos itself gives me a are very soothing and peaceful experience.
So nice of you
Very very inspiring Manisha! After watching your videos - i am hugely inspired to start Permaculture on a small piece of land in Aravalis. I have planted some trees randomly already over the past 2-3 years. Some of the kikar trees are pre-existent. Not sure of the outcome as the land is stony - nevertheless I am all ready to try it out. Congratulations to Radha and Ira for the fantastic job!
Best of luck!!
YOUR DAUGHTERS REALLY DO A GREAT JOB, THEY ARE THE PRESENT GENERATION WHICH IS TECH SAVVY AND ITS GREAT TO KNOW THAT THEY TOO ENJOY AANANDAA AND ITS BEAUTY........
Thank you so much Zohar
Congrats to whole family. The value you create by using nature and your hard work to permanently enrich it with so much diversity and the inspiration it will give countless others can not be measured with money.
Great job all the team and the kids!!
Thank you!
Good???? They are fantastic!!! All of you at ananda are fantastic!!
M learning lot from you..I am from Assam..we have a family land here. M also trying to use permaculture method in our new garden.. thanks 😊 . Keep inspiring us. Your daughter's are doing great.

All the best to you!
Very Very inspiring. Congratulations to the digital Chiefs of Aanandaa.
The kind of questions being answered are really good. Would like to see more of your experience managing the farm while ecosystem being developed during initial 4-5 years
Any specific questions you have that we can answer?
@@farmaanandaa
1. I know you have done the PDC, however would like to know if you had designed yourself for your farm or some consultant did and you have used the knowledge to do the farming later?
2. As you mentioned 1000 trees planted for 6 acres, how many nitrogen fixers were needed and any specific one you would like to name.
3. Once planted those 1000 trees did you have to water them every day? did you have to put the compost often for their growth as the soil wasn't fertile yet?
4. Looks like you had started putting crops(for example corn and few other) in 6 months to 1 year from the moment windbreaks were planted, was the soil really ready by then?
5. How do manager for drinking water at the farm?
6. Do you have solar panel as well for electricity?
7. any Biogas setup at your farm?
2. knowledge knowledge knowledge
Really inspiring how you have managed to create Ananda! Well done to your daughters for the great job in supporting you.
Thank you so much 🙂
These videos are mind-blowing, amazing work Radha and Ira. Thank u for sharing your knowledge and experience ☺️
Thank you so much 🙂
Yes. Ur bright kids are doing great job
Indeed!
It's been only few days I got to know about permaculture through you and I must say I am so interested in it. We have the land which is barren from years but I never had planted a single plant in it , which m planning to do now. Will msg you after I grow a small garden for myself so that to have knowledge of it. Ur videos are inspiring and also it's important for people who have the land to utilize it for the good of environment.
More power to you, all the best!
Watched few anandaa farm's videos. Very inspiring. My family also has a bit of land, which no one takes care of. Trying to create a good ecosystem there.
All the best!
Aapko dekhkar yakin nhii hota ,real me Aisa kuch hoga , Good work
Your kids are doing a great job and every video there is some improvement in the video quality. When you say tube well, are you mentioning the bore well? How deep is your tube well? At what depth you have got the water at first? Do you check the ground water level every year? If yes, do you see any measurable improvement over these years bcoz of the structures you made to store the water?
really you are doing great job mam. You are very inspiring to me as i am also pursuing my agriculture course in punjab and looking forward to meet you in aananda soon and get some knowledge.
Best of luck
Great going little one's, I would rather give credit to entire family of " Anananda". 🙌

Hello, Madam Manila, we are able to learn more about farm management. Very interesting to knowseveral divisions of managerial aspects like - Soil Mgt, Water Mgt, Seed Management, Harvesting etc., in farming. Your narrations are so clear and as good as a consultant. Your daughter really produce high quality episodes. Actually i want to put all your episodes like an album and see in a big screen, because it is refreshing soothing to the mind. Regards. Arul & Geetha
So nice of you - her name is Manisha, not Manila. But thank you for the kind words, do share our videos if you like them!
Please make a video explaining the whole map and plants we can select for 4-5 acres of land.
All your videos and blogs are mind blowing and very informative. This video specially is very useful for beginners.Great work by you, your daughters and entire family. It would be great if you can make in detailed videos of all the work you and your workforce does on farm. Asking this since many like me don’t have exposure to agriculture and especially to natural farming / permaculture. This can help few of us who are very enthusiastic to contribute something to Mother Earth and future generation. Wish you good health, wealth and happiness. Take care
We will try our best, do keep watching and sharing the videos till then!
The girls are doing a great job! I am also looking forward to visit Anandaa someday to learn more as I've got similar plans...... Hope to be there soon! BTW do you have options of home stay or may be volunteering or something? I would really like that experience
No homestay or accomodation as yet. But do email us on hello@aanandaa.com to book a spot in our Intro to Permaculture session every Saturday
Great videos and great answers. Please also make some videos which show all the areas of the farm very well. Thank you for what you are doing to the farm and the ecology.
Thanks for watching. If you want to see more areas of the farm, do watch our #WhatsGrowing series - ua-cam.com/video/LJYjCMPGC9U/v-deo.html
I am inspired how you managed the farm being a woman. I am planning to start soon. I would like to know apart from land cost how much money have you spent in the beginning and what is the size of your farm.
Your girls r doing a great job of managing your digital platforms. Good luck nd keep up the good work👍
Thank you so much 😊
U r an great inspiration madam... I always wondered how u took the decision to leave the city life to become a farmer... ur story is giving me and many like me to start our journey right away... great work... appreciate ur daughters efforts on the digital content... they are doing a great job...
Thank you so much 🙂 ua-cam.com/video/oCZ-t30aCeQ/v-deo.html this video might enlighten you a bit about our journey
Aanandaa The Permaculture Farm this is the video I first saw and remains still one of my inspiring videos... I keep watching and sharing always... great achievement...
Thumbs up to all of you
Thank you for this video. Ive been waiting for a long time for your next video so i was happy to see this one. Enjoyed every bit. Your daughters are doing an amazing job! Keep it up! You must be so proud of them. Thx for the tip on holding on to our main jobs while starting a farm on the side. Waiting for more videos.
You are so welcome! Thank you for the kind words
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing. One question that you can add in your next video or address here is - Do you have a boundary wall made of brick on all four sides?
Thank you for watching. We do not have a brick wall boundary on any side. It is a wire fence enforced with a thick bougainvillea bush.
Hello Manisha,
Hats off for all the work you have done and then sharing it to inspire more of us. I have a specific question, hope you find time to answer it.
When you have a project of this scale (10acre, a small home etc), someone should always be at the site to protect it. Do you have someone like a Watchman to safeguard it 24*7 ?
We do have a night watchman. And during the day the staff and us are present anyways.
Awesome, quite inspirational work. Keep it up 👍
Thanks a lot 😊
Please make a video regarding the finances !
Great jobs girls! Thank you 🙏.
Thanks for watching!
Nice. Would like to see video of the day to day work done on your farm.
Check out our playlist called Daily Activities
And yes..one more thing..God Bless You!
Thank you!
Mam we like to have detailed workshop about farm because we love nature
Really informative video for beginners. In fact i love all the videos. Please keep them coming.
I would like to know more about designing a farm as per the permaculture principles/ nature's principles. and how was the designing done for Aanandaa.
Thank you! Will do!
Heyy Radha n Era! Good job u both have done ! Keep it up Girls!
Thank You Manisha Ji for wonderful videos. I really appreciate your efforts to set up a farm and then making other people aware and knowledgeable about the permaculture techniques via UA-cam. I need a suggestion about how to grow a farm remotely like I live in USA and I want to setup a farm in India. In your views how much viable is that and if you think it is possible then what should be the approach? Looking forward some thoughts about this in your next videos. Thanks a lot.
Congratulations to you and your wonderful family for this amazing journey you have created.
Keep going...
Thank you so much 🙂
Thanks for this video. I will start a farm.
Best of luck!
Thank You 🙏🏼 #AanandaaTeam ❤️🌱🌍
Welcome!
Ek video banaye jisme sabkuch cover ho , means total land area, boundry coverd, house, water k.lye ,plant kese lge h ,boundry pr and andar side ?
When you dug a pit and filled it with cowdung, good soil and others, does not rain water wash that away? How deep were your pits at the beggining?
All thanks to Radha and Ira. :)
No they don't get washed away because they are in the pit. The pits we dig were 3 x 3 x 3 feet in size.
Indeed today, you have sort out many questions & confusions about Permaculture farming..
We are so glad! We make every video with the aim of spreading knowledge and helping others. Do share this video if you liked it
Kudos to the girls ✌️
Very good and motivating
Thanks a lot
What is the revenue model of the farm. How do you generate salaries of your staff.
Is the farm self sufficient and profitable?
Yeah
Really very happy for the guidance and motivation you give for the enthusiastic people like me. Very nice video with a ton of knowledge.
Thanks a ton
I find your videos very interesting & thanks for sharing.
Does Miyawaki method have any role to play in the process of developing a farm land?
Miyawaki is more of a quick reforestation technique, used for Urban rewilding, or reforestation. It is not used to develop productive landscapes.
Very enlightening. Would be grateful of u could elaborate on the capital required per acre including labour cost , land cost in toto
Very impressive. Love the family working as a team!
Thank you! We really enjoy it!
Dear Radha n Era...Great Job..keep going..
Thanks a lot
You are my inspiration
I think Insects have lot more stories to tell and answer the queries but as cant understand their language just consider it as a great background music u have.
Hahaha I guess you're right
Good job done by your heart beat 😊
Good content. Informative and inspiring.Your daughters are doing a great job.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks a lot.
Madam... I have one important question... how did u and ur family cope up with your interaction with forest ecosystems? Especially when encountering insects and reptiles that will be part of ur ecosystem? Being brought up in a city life, where even cockroaches are killed with harsh chemicals, how did you learn to live with them in peace? Request you to take up this question in ur next video as I want to understand this part to firm up my dreams...
Mem i am ur big fan .because i love nature.
So nice
Hi.. can you please do a video on what your diet looks like?? Curious if it’s specific to your farm!! Veg, non veg or vegan??
Veg by choice! Also no milk, paneer or butter. Just desi ghee and farm eggs. We don't eat any processed/packaged food either. Mostly eat what we grow! We make pickles, jams, chutneys and a variety of things!!
Hello @anandafarm can you please go over the design of your entire farm? With the blueprint maybe
I am really confused regarding the plantation of fruit trees. Which one to go for - Grafted trees or Normal saplings which are seasonal in fruiting and takes time to grow?
That's a personal decision. Most fruits we are used to eating now are grafted. They are not grown from seed. Non grafted trees may bear smaller fruit and after a long time. But that fruit will also be delicious
Kudos to the girls!
have two questions
1. How much do you pay the people who are working at the farm?
2. Is it since the beginning of your journey that you were paying them?
We pay them reasonable wages, benchmarked to the local rates. And of course we have been paying them from the beginning!
Thanks a lot, U n Ur Team is doing respectable Job
So nice of you to say, thank you
Awesome girls..!! Actually I was wondering who does this job so professionally..I thought you have ppl to work on this video making and editing..seriously lovely job girls..:) You have answered all my questions.. which I had in my mind... but I have one more doubt that how much should I be paying for the workers on the farm .. will you pls help me with this?? Because first few years there wont be any output from the farm so.. when you have 5 +1 ppl working for you for 12 acres then I think 2+1 ppl would be enough to maintain 5 acres right?? And how do we need to pay them?? monthly salary or the amount of work done by them basis?? And also how much??
nice video, good motivation for urban folk
Yes, thanks
Very nice Madam. Could you please tell us where did you get this idea of Permaculture from
Watch the Down to Earth documentary about Aanandaa
