    Do you agree with this? I can't believe I have to defend this game on some aspects🤦...Subscribe and leave a like as well, don't be one of those hate watchers. I know I got quite a few of them...also I don't know why people would listen to someone who plays 3-4 games at the same time...that burnout is real and it will make immersion almost impossible. The game definitely surprised me on some parts that's for sure. Too bad about the combat and p2w model.

      @@vampalgant5165 there is no other reasonable method to target a player at distance when thousands of players are around and there are hundreds of players between you and your target. All direction combat would mean you could not do this as your attacks would hit other targets before reaching your intended one. Tell me you never played large scale PVP without saying it. BDO is not even close in scale either and a false equivalency

    the combat is fire, everyone wants to feel good and strong when they turn it on, it isnt the design, there is a power creep and combat keeps getting better and better as you unlock and use and lvl more skills

    • @TheVillaousTerminater
      @TheVillaousTerminater  3 місяці тому

      I've already addressed that skills argument in the video iamisobe. The Design is what dictates the fundamentals of the mechanic. Feeling good and strong has nothing to do with power creep or damage output but the animations, impact collisions, movements, fluidity and combat style and etc.

      @@TheVillaousTerminater and also everything you said literally has to do with power creeping and damage as things become more impactful and more fluid as you lvl your player, their skills and obtain new ones. @@iamisobe First of all, that's a desperate reach. 2nd, are you implying FLUID Animations and HIT FEEDBACKS magically manifest in later endgame? That is what you're essentially saying. Even IF that was true which it isn't because I've already seen plenty of endgame gameplay footages, the core features of tab targeting remain...3rd, I've already explained the late game argument in the video. I'm patient here but your use of power creep and the combat system in general is largely a misrepresentation of those phrases. It seems like you like the combat system but you're also in denial about what tab targeting is...I rest my case here. You do you.

    What I like about the game is that its really finished and polished. Like you said: The GFX, music, optimization with fps and loading times. Also it doesnt waste your time. Quick tutorial setting up the controls and story, bossfight and all done. And sure, I can accept that an online MMO style RPG which is never going to have combat like Dark Souls. I have no problem with tab targeting. Had a lot of fun with the re-release of WoW Classic a few years ago too. As long as it works and makes sense, its fine by me. I have no doubt competative endgame will be a p2w mess, but as a casual grinding game playing for free can still be fun because of the reasons ive mentioned earlier. Its just an overall pleasant experience to play.

    • @TheVillaousTerminater
      @TheVillaousTerminater  3 місяці тому +1

      It got a lot of things right, except for the two most important features. The combat is one of the worst of its type. It will really kill this game even more so than the p2w I argued. It's ironic that this is PVP-focused when everything about it leans towards a better PVE experience.

      @@TheVillaousTerminater Im not really far enough in to the game to have a verdict on the combat system, but it seems functional and thats at least something. Tab targeting gets a lot of hate but in WoW it works really well. With a low global cooldown its still very much skill based. What im excited about is that it really seems the devs take their own game seriously, its not a cynical cash grab or anything like that, the production value in general is way to high for that. The character feels very responsive, movement is very fluent, albeit a bit "floaty".
      Dont think its a game thats really suitable to play full on "no life", but its seems very worthwhile to at least level to 50 and mess around a bit with the end game. I can see myself playing this for a couple of months. And its great that their game engine can handle these huge amounts of players while still maintaining decent performance. This game really makes me look forward to see what they can do with the LOTR IP.

      Have KR players ever opposed any of the P2W in the past at all? Clearly, these business models don't come out of nowhere. I would think a good portion of them participate, which keeps these games alive as much as possible. Don't feel sorry for them if they've been actively playing part in this for years.

      @@TheVillaousTerminater Asian cultures have a very different perspective on both gambling and wealth. In some ways they've become more ruthlessly capitalistic than the west.
      The West understands that gambling is inherently addictive and toxic and that there are no true meritocracies. Games, and video games, are literally the only and last escape from the inherent inequality of capitalistic society. The great equalizer.
      MTX are successful because they prey on the weakest parts of the human psyche. There's a reason places like the EU are starting to tamp down on predatory monetization. Yes, they work. That doesn't mean they are *good*.

    This game does not beat gw2 even its is 10 years or more ago! both are made by nc. In Gw2 even you dont play for 1 year your still on par with other players its because of horizontal progression. This TL in which it is a vertical progression you need to play everyday or even career the game to keep up.

    • @TheVillaousTerminater
      @TheVillaousTerminater  3 місяці тому

      Dennis...no one said anything about which game is better or worst. Listen to the point I was addressing. As for your comment, vertical progression is favorable because it shows a clear sign of achievement and it is what motivates most to continue playing. It has a history of triumphing over horizontal as well. HP will eventually cause people to leave as it would lead to a point of stale to decline fun factor. You can personally prefer horizontal? Sure, by all means you do you.
