Easter is the most important Christian holiday since without it, Christ would be just another man. This song, though simple, is my favorite Easter song I've heard so far, beautifully expressing why we celebrate. "Thus the wicked fade in front of God, but the righteous are joyful." - Amen!

I think that's how it happened: Someone have read that Teutonic knights sang liturgical hymn known as "Christ is erstanden" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_ist_erstanden) after their victory in the siege of Kaunas, which happened on Holy Saturday. In some languages the word "hymn" usually used to mean national anthem, so this illiterate individual understood it as if the knights gathered to sing their "national anthem" (4 centuries before the concepts of nation and anthem came into existence). So, they guy looked up how does it sound and found this video: ua-cam.com/video/Rhw7Zd2KpOI/v-deo.html Then, he took the song and uploaded it with an incorrect title.
Henning Binderup, sadly there is no really great version of the real teutonic order hymn on youtube. But I found this clip of polnish (!) interpreters doing their best to sing the german text. It actually was a hymn of Teutonic Order. Teutonic knights sang this chant in the battle of Tannenberg 1410. But it is not only their hymn of course. The chant is much older.
The costume of having a specific song to identify a nation-state is decades older than the date the Teutonic State was dissolved and reformed into Prussia by protestant heretics. But I'd suppose they had their own war chants, which I'll try and find in time
