Thank you to the who made this. Many people may not know that on Pascha, it is traditional to say Christ is Risen in as many languages as possible. At the Agape Vespers service on Pascha day (Sunday) the Epistle reading is read by parishioners in various languages. (My Parish reads in Greek, Russian, Georgian, German, Spanish, Latin, French, Japanese, Chinese, Tagalog, Yupik).Let us love one another for Christ is Risen from the dead not only for the Orthodox but for all mankind!

Thank you, thank you, for posting these. I have listened for hours. My father was Antiochian Orthodox, my mother Romanian Orthodox, my friends Albanian, Greek and Russian, and thus I was blessed with hearing this in many languages as I grew up. To hear these many more is deeply moving.

This is so beautiful and church is so beautiful and when you enter into Orthodox Church of any ethnic and you feel home and complete. We are the Mother Church of all of Christianity. I feel very complete and whole. I wish, others would explore Orthodoxy. Many have come to us over the years; and converted over. They love it. It the completeness and the whole.

This is very well done. The iconography is just stunning! I have never heard the Paschal Troparion in so many languages! What a treat! And to see the inside of churches all over the globe...revealing the global spread of the oldest Christian faith was truly inspiring. I came home from Pascha services this morning myself and sat to listen to these cuts to form my own playlist for background music with my parents tomorrow. They are going to love it!

There is no ''macedonian''languange and known as''slavic''!Because the only Macedonia is a greek territory in North Greece and belongs to the Greek state, speaking in greek and never existed a''macedonian slavic''languange....Slavs speak in Bulgarian,Serbian,Croatian,Russian etc....FYRO''?'' speaks clearly Bulgarian.Sorry if you just learned that.
FYRO''?'' ''orthodox church'' is not recognized from the Ecumenical Patriarchate or from the other Orthodox Patriarchates and Αrchdioceses and it's schismatic church.
The recognized Archibishop of Ohrid is in prison(!) and his priests are banned from the country or they are in prison too..
So we are not brothers in Christ with schismatics and heretics.

The Holy Mountain Athos can visit anyone even muslim and Bhudists. The church you mention is NOT recognised from the Ecumenical Patriarchate and it is schismatic. The only recognized Archbishop is in prison because of the fasist goverment wanted to shut up his mouth that you are pour slavs and you have no any connection with Macedonia or any term of this word.I just pitty you,100 years of propaganda made you something you are not and you will never be..the bad thing is that you are not in the body of official church too that makes you no brothers and sisters in Christ.I wish God open your eyes and give mercy.End of subject.I don't want to answer me again pls.Thank you.

Orthodox are celebrating the resurrection of Christ more than any so called Christians. This should show the world what is the right religion. For the resurrection of Christ is the essence of a man's faith. Man's own God became human so he could bear the burden of mans sin and resurrect hence redeeming us of our sins

I might wants or reply fully to the comments below about the 'Macedonian Orthodox church'. It is in schism yes. So technically they are not in communion. However - it is incorrect to call them 'non-orthodox' because, their dogma, their canons, their liturgy - in fact everything about them is Orthodox. Let us not forget that almost every jurisdiction in some point of time, was schismatic. Eg) the church of Greece for 50 years after 1821. Or ROCCOR up until 2007. Or even today, the 'free-Serbs'. It is an unfortunate situation yes. However, in turn. Then hymns which are are song are MOST IN FACT ORTHODOX. DOGMATICALLY AND CANONICALLY. To state othewise is UNORTHODOX.
    Christ is risen! :)

    • @SpectatorAlius
      @SpectatorAlius 7 років тому +1

ROCOR was very careful to avoid actually being schismatic. Neither the OCA nor SCOBA ever declared them schismatic, nor did ROCOR ever declare the OCA and SCOBA schismatic: the real reason ROCOR turned down the opportunity to join SCOBA was because one of the bishops on SCOBA was known to ROCOR to be a spy.

This is not a Japanese version on 3.10! This is Russian late partes singing. There is such a work "Christ is risen Greek-Latin-Slavic", the author Astafiev. There are 3 languages, the second is Latin, this music was used on 3.10 to sing in Japanese.

+domkov91 Christ is risen! I enjoyed this video so much, ESPECIALLY the Latin chant portion from 6:50 to 7:15. Can you please tell me the source for that recording??? In the past, I have heard the Easter troparion of the Greek Rite sung in Latin before, but only with foreign melodies (Byzantine, Russian, etc). I have also heard beautiful Latin versions of the Easter troparion that were sung with composed polyphony like this one here: ua-cam.com/video/pVslvdBwjzU/v-deo.html And as an aside, I would definitely recommend people check that one out too, as it is based on an old German motet from the 15th and 16th centuries.
But in the case of your video here, the Latin chant really surprised me because it actually sounded like an authentic Gregorian or Ambrosian melody, rather than a Byzantine or Slavic musical adaptation to Latin. I could be wrong, of course, as I am no expert. But nonetheless, if it is what it sounds like, that would be something I would be very interested to learn more about. Please let me know the source of that recording, as you have definitely piqued my curiosity. Thank you!

+Patrick Armano There is tradition to chant Paschal troparion in as many languages as it's possible, and at some parishes (e.g in Poland) this troparion is chanted in Latin too. The people of Skopja are Slaves, Albanians, Greeks, Turkish and Romano/vlachians. Untill the president Tito the area has name Vardaska, you can see that from the old stamps. Finally, for me. Never accept name Macedonia to Skopja. No North, no New, no Gorna, because this name belongs to my history. I don't feel enemy to the people of Skopja, I feel that they try to stiil some thing. Filippos means friend+horse , filos+ippos, Aristoteles means ariston+telos, perfect+end.

Sotieis Mihos I don't think that's how languages are measured. Every language has its root and development process first as a dialect until it becomes a standardized language in a nation state. It's true when you say that macedonian is similar to Bulgarian and Serbian, but so are Serbian and Croatian, Czech and Slovak, German and Dutch or Danish. I think it will be highly inappropriate to say that just because Krieg (German ) and krig (Danish) or König and kong or Majestät vs majestæt are so similar or the same, to say that Danish is not a separate language. But I think everyone will be agreed with you that the names of Alexander or Phillip are of ancient Hellenic origin. However that is not enough to deny the existence of a language, that is as legitimate as any other language in the world.
