I see where you're coming from but at what point does novelty methods of style define a good standard of action genre? The reason I enjoyed the film was due to it's accuracy. The amount of training and efficiency behind that film just allowed the viewer to enjoy the narrative and the scenes without being open to blatant criticism like a backflip off an exploding car whilst holding two machine guns and shooting every bad guy in the process of doing so. Then again, Patrice was critiquing Keanu's acting as opposed to the films themselves but I enjoy his style, its very solitary and reserved with the rare flair of exuberance in small doses.
+CardiganSnoopy, Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I loved it. Just something that could've added a bit more to the action. Oh definitely, when we're talking about Die Hard, it's arguably one of the best action movies of all time!
