A High Performance Durable Vinyl Matt By Tikkurila

A new high performance durable vinyl matt by Tikkurila. This paint has a class 2 scrub rating and is also a high quality opaque paint.
It covers really well and looks solid after two coats. This has up to 10,000 wipes which makes it an all round ideal paint in any household. It can also be mixed to a Farrow and Ball paint and also Dulux and Little Greene plus Tikkurilas own colour palette. It's a great product that stands up to the Dulux Heritage range.

I tried Tikkurila silicone exterior for render recently. Brilliant stuff really creamy and lays of& well. F and B colour matched spot on
This paint manufacturer deserves uk success. 👍

Hi mate. 100 percent. The exterior paint I think is Finguard which my friend uses all the time. It's a better finish than Sandtex.
I love the Tikkurila brand as Its never let me down. I agree we should see more of it

Hi Daniel, have you tried the Crown clean extreme 10000 scrubs really good opacity, does not leave picture framing, cost £52 Inc vat any colour. I use it now on every job, I don't use vinyl matt anymore.

Yes mate I do.
If people want a crown colour then I always go Clean Extreme. I find Tikkurila colour match really good.

@@danielnugent2168 thanks for the info, do they recommend you always use the primer first or can you go straight on with the vinyl matt? The primer is great but turns it in to a 3 coat job, in a whole house that's alot isn't it.

Do you wash the worst of the old past off before painting? Or do you use the primer instead of washing the paste off??

That sleeve looks like a very long pile. I would have thought a medium pile would work better on a fairly smooth internal wall.

Hi daniel,did you seal any excess wallpaper paste before applying the optiva primer or can it go straight over after stripping,washing and sanding.Never used optiva primer before.Thanks

Yes it's good for a base coat or neat on bare plaster.

I would lightly sand the walls as this Vinyl Matt takes a while to be fully cured as in durability. It's touch dry ialmost straight away especially this time of year

Have you tried wiping it, I'm looking for a paint that doesn't go shiny after wiping it

Yes I did and it looked good.
Apparently this takes 4 weeks to cure fully to use it to its full potential
Optiva 5 or Crown Clean Extreme are both scrubbable and a better class rating
