It's was nice to hear that the Rebels had some hidden ARC troopers among them and they probably didn't even realize they had a super soldier

It's quite funny that Rex is both a captain and an Arc Trooper. I'm not sure why or how the 501st managed to make so many Arcs amidst their ranks. I mean, Jesse, Echo, Fives and Rex, that's four Arcs right there, in the same legion. I can't complain though. The 501st deserves having all of them as Arcs

    • @chopper3940
      @chopper3940 6 місяців тому +9

501 is a legion, it has about 10 thousand full strength soldiers.
Many units have ARC recruits, which are Echo, Fives, Jesse. ARC recruits are almost no different from regular infantry, they are not even close to being trained as even galactic infantrymen are, and you can keep silent about ARF clones.
ARC recruits are in fact just heavy infantry, and nothing more.
Rex is a full-fledged ARC. due to the fact that it does not have the genetic modifications inherent in full-fledged ARCs, but has their level of training.
So 4 ARC per legion costs nothing at all, it is much more effective to have 1 ARF clone than 5 ARC recruits.

@@chopper3940 Echo, Fives and Jesse aren't Arc recruits, they're fully fledged Arcs. @@Chisszaru Oh, it would be better if you didn’t answer me...
There are 2 types of ARC:
      1. Full-fledged ARCs, such as null, alphas and clone commanders. These are full-fledged ARC clones.
You can become a full-fledged ARC clone only by being born one from the very beginning, your genetic modifications are adjusted to the ARC class, such clones have been trained under the ARC program for 10 years. Clone commanders also have the ARC class, but their training was closely coordinated with the army command.
      2. ARC recruits are clones who have proven themselves on the battlefield in some way and have been noticed. These are the most ordinary clones who were born by the most ordinary Mekhotians, who are Echo, Fives and Jesse. Such clones, after receiving permission to be promoted to ARC recruit, undergo additional training lasting less than six months, where during this time they are taught the most basic things. After completing training, such clones are almost no better than ordinary infantry, which is why they were used as field troops, and did not perform special tasks, like full-fledged ARCs.
ARC is actually better than ARF, full ARC is better than any type of clone troopers in the republic army. Here the topic is about recruits, which are Echo, Fives and Jesse. As I already mentioned, recruits are almost no better than regular soldiers. In turn, ARF clones can be compared to RC clones for field use.
Ordinary clones cannot become an ARF clone, ARF clones undergo thorough training, they are taught a huge number of tactics and schemes, they are trained to use a variety of weapons, including those of the enemy. The ARF can act as a vanguard and rearguard, cover the main forces, perform reconnaissance in force, carry out sabotage, be snipers, perform reconnaissance, and much more. Also, ARF clones can use RPS, many different types of detonators, their equipment is much wider than that of a regular clone or ARC recruit. ARF clones are also trained in survival skills and can fight for long periods of time separately from the supply line.
It is true that having 1 ARC is more promising than an ARF squad, but this only applies to full-fledged ARCs, and recruits such as Echo, Fives and Jesse and 1 ARF are not worth it.
You are generally stupid and don’t understand what I wrote to you or what you are writing to me right now. FULL ARC ARE SPECIAL FORCES. ARC RECRUITS ARE REGULAR INFANTRY, WITH BETTER EQUIPMENT. AND NOTHING MORE.
Equating recruits like Echo, Fawz and Jesse with full-fledged ARCs is like equating a new recruit with a seasoned and experienced veteran.
In general, I can only advise you not to disgrace yourself and not answer me anymore, talking complete nonsense, but go and read about ARC and ARF, or better yet, just delve a little deeper into the lore of the clone wars, so as not to carry such nonsense.
And also, the full composition of the legion of clones:
      9 216 - sweet clones
      1,024 - clone sergeants
      256 - clone lieutenants
      64 - clone captain
      16 - clone battalion commander
      4 - clone regiment commander
      1 - clone commander
      A total of 10,581 clones.
So come on, buddy, don’t embarrass yourself and go learn the theoretical part.

@@chopper3940 the only dumb one is you, and the only one embarassing himself is you, and the only one who needs to learn the theoretical stuff is you. A clone legion doesn't actually consist of 10,000 troops, i've checked Wookiepedia, and it only consists of 9,500 clones in total. And ordinary clones can actually become ARF and Arc troopers. There's a buttload of ordinary clones who managed to become both. And the only one bringing disgrace and nonsense is you. I actually know more about the lore than you, because i always read on Wookiepedia, even better, i've even gotten all the information from LucasFilm, the people who made Star Wars the Clone Wars, so what i said cones straight from the creators of the Clone Wars themselves and from Wookiepedia, where everything Star Wars is to be known

The Nulls had several programs that ran through republic systems which gathered them intel and the likes, as well as more personal things, like a program that would go and take 1 or 2 credits from accounts registered in republic systems, small enough to not be noticed by the account owner, but from enough accounts to make them trillionares. The Nulls could do whatever they wanted, they just didn’t want to take down the republic and withdrew when the empire took over so they could go totally off the grid on Mandalore.

As others have mentioned, ARCs aren’t really like Rangers, there’s no real world equivalent to them since they’re basically war machines. ARCs do everything, whereas in real life obviously the general isn’t also doing solo covert strikes behind enemy lines or out training local militias to fight.

Comparing clones from star wars and real units is incorrect.
ARC, RC, ARF, and any other clone units have a much higher level of training than any comparison you would expect.
All these clones are trained much more thoroughly, better, they have genetic modifications, and the range of their tasks is several times higher than that of any unit from the real world.

I would put Commandos over Seals… Commandos are essentially the Tier 1 special forces. For those who don‘t know Armys and Special Forces are generally divided by tiers. Seals are for example tier 2 and therefor in the „second“ best category. So another funfact Seals aren‘t actually the best of the best if going by this system.

Great video! I disagree with the ARCs as akin to army Rangers though. Maybe someone who is formal or current military can elaborate the comparison more becuase it's an interesting topic to discuss. I've always been led to believe that the Rangers were more of an elite Infantry more like the 501st. The commandos are definitely more like the Navy Seals and I'm not sure if we or any country would have an exact equivalent to the ARCs. I thought maybe Army Delta Force since they're more secretive than the Seals but as I understand Delta would have the more well rounded qualites and experitse that ARCs have. I really wish TCW would have expanded more on the Arc and commandos.

I may not have served, but my daddy did his 20 as a soldier so I might be able to give a some insight. Your essentially correct with your assumptions and correlations. ARCS are more of an overall combination of our “special forces.” I’d say their akin with the Green Berets, Seals, and SWCC. Commandos without a doubt would be our equivalent to Delta Forces (and maybe PJ’s) ARCS as you know run in their own units typically, but do rotate into regular units to assume command or needed assistance. Commandos run solo ops in their small, confined squads. They’re simply too elite to pair up with any regs, They would also often partake in “suicide” rescue missions to rescue Jedi, or other spec ops soldiers in need of assistance. (Only instance we canonically know about commandos helping regs is, CF99 fighting alongside Rex, Cody, Jessie, Kix, Echo in CW season 7)
I probably worded things poorly, missing a few key things…but nonetheless I hope this helps a lil.

Yeah, Rangers are elite light infantry & would be more analogous to the 501st.
Commandos are modeled after special operations groups like Delta, SEALs, etc. There’s a lot of overlap in training & skillset here so they aren’t exactly like a specific unit.
ARCs are one-man army super soldiers, so there’s no real world equivalent to that. Especially since we see them doing everything from commanding fleet battles and ground battles, to fighting directly on the front lines and also doing covert missions. And obviously in real life that’d be done by four different people.

    • @djgreatxbx6768
      @djgreatxbx6768 Рік тому +5

I can agree calling them rangers cus there’s sorta two types of rangers. There’s those in the ranger regiment, that entire unit is made up of rangers and is elite. The second some people don’t consider to be rangers and thats those who attend ranger school which is leadership school which will award you with a ranger tab but send you back to your unit. If we were to say that the 501st were an elite unit then yeah id say they’re the ranger regiment. Now individual clones going through arc training like five, echo, or even red could be considered having their ranger tab since they went through their equivalent of ranger school, becoming”rangers” then returning to their unit with their new found skill. Additionally the arc training they went through is similar to ranger school since it does teach them some leadership qualities considering they become at least a Lt afterwards.

A few people have already commented on it her before but I'll just say it anyways. After taking a keen interest in special forces and all that has been shown on the clone commandos and ARC troopers, my opinion is that clone commandos operate in a very simular manner as DEVGRU which are the Navy SEALs Tier 1 teams given how they fight as small squads and are sent off to clandestine missions pretty much coming from the top, where as the ARC troopers operate in a simular manner to The Army's Delta Force that have had several missions where they will attach themselves to larger fighting force within the military serving whatever purpose they've been asked to. Best example i can come up with from the clone wars is Fives and Echo being attached to the 501st Legion. As far as the 501st goes, they're pretty much like Army Rangers or MARSOC AKA The Marine Raiders though instead of intense training, they've earned that comparison through sheer experience and the creative thinking on the battlefield that Anakin inspires in his men.

First off, let me just start by saying i love the content and vids, keep it up!! Secondly, for your analogy of ARC'S being rangers...Id say it depends on the ARC class whether I agree or disagree.
The Nulls and Alphas are more like Delta Force rather than Rangers. As you somewhat pointed out, they could be one man armies or work in small teams. Plus they could be used for infiltration, assasination, espionage, spies, etc. Alpha-77/Captain Fordo from 2003 Clone Wars is a perfect example.
The ARC's that came out of the ARC Training and Induction Programs (what some call the Beta-Class ARC's) are more like Rangers than the Nulls and Alphas. In fact, Id say they are the most equivalent to US Army Rangers.
The Clone Commandos are like a mixture of Green Berets and Navy SEALS plus they, unlike the Nulls and Alphas, usually do better in their four man teams rather than being solo.

Continuing your comparisons to the US military, I'm aware of 2 programs similar to the Commander's ARC training. First, Ranger school opens up a few slots for men from other branches that show potential, a Marine or Airman can be nominated to attend Ranger School. It's typically young officers or soon-to-be sergeants sent for the advanced leadership aspect as much as the actual training. Those that excel may even be tapped by the Army and given a chance to cross over from their current branch to a Ranger Regiment. If they don't, they still wear the tab and have the knowledge. Second, ROTC Cadets in college (future officers) from all 5 branches have the opportunity to participate in Marine Corps Platoon Leadership Class (PLC), getting infantry tactics, leadership lessons, combat simulation exercises, etc from the branch that is solely dedicated to infantry performance. They attend the courses but don't actually go to USMC Officer Training School afterwards, taking their knowledge to their own branch's Officer courses.

can’t really say SEALs are better than Rangers when they don’t even have the same job. Rangers are a land based light infantry unit that have a focus on direct action. SEALs is a maritime unit their main job is to take care of sea based threats and to insert to AOs through water infiltration. Rangers are often used to support tier 1 elements like delta due to their extreme effectiveness in direct action and hostage rescue operations. Also the becoming a green beret isn’t “harder” than becoming a Ranger. RASP is about twice as long as SFAS and is a lot more physically oriented. Then ontop of that even if you pass RASP you can just as easily get kicked out of the regiment. Many vets have said staying in the ranger regiment is a lot more physically demanding than getting in.

Rangers have the shortest training pipeline among the SOF units.

SFAS is significantly more challenging (RASP being longer doesn't mean anything here), and it has a higher failure rate. SF groups do significantly more unique tasks. Like you said, Rangers support Tier 1, which is CAG or DEVGRU. SEALs or SF will never support Rangers, it will effectively always be the other way around. Also I'm not sure how you can claim SEALs focus on water infiltration given our most recent war was in a landlocked country.

Although Clone Commandos respond to the call of duty at hand, I prefer to become an ARC myself because of three reasons:
    1. ARC TROOPERS respond above and beyond the call of duty.
    2. Rex, Cody, and many other ARC clones are the most memorable ones.
    3. They have seen most action than the average Clone, Medic, and so on.

Those are my reasons. What are yours?

If these are reasons for someone who is poorly versed in the topic, then that’s fine.
And so, ARC clones are the best combat unit in the clone army.
RCs fall short in preparation and flexibility.
Clone commanders are essentially a separate type of ARC, whose emphasis was on command, and not on performing special tasks, such as null, alphas, and so on.

ARCs also had significantly lower lifespan and Commandos were technically the original one man army. The Katarn Armor worn by commandos was worth 100k credits, had the same modularity as clone armor, and could protect you similarly to beskar minus durability. Even inheriting a post war career as a mercenary or imperial (Commandos unlike clones were highly valued for training)

Bad special forces comparison. Commandos would be more similar to Green Beret which worked in small groups and often behind enemy lines. Army Rangers are actually a lower tier special forces unit so to say ARC troopers were better than Commandos but then say they are like army rangers makes them a less advanced unit rather than more advanced. The most elite US special forces unit is Delta Force. They pull from both Green Beret and Army Rangers. Just thought I’d point that out 🤷‍♂️

The Army Rangers are a very fitting comparison for ARC troopers. It might not seem like it at first but there are a lot of similarities.
The Army Rangers have their own elite regiment called the 75th Ranger Regiment. This regiment is trained for all sorts of engagements and insertion tactics. Their main role is to be a tip of the spear or engage high value targets.
The way Fordo was sent into enemy territory on Muunilinst is exactly how the 75th Ranger Regiment would be inserted and it's a similar style of mission they'd be tasked with.
Lets talk about Arcs like Echo, Fives, Rex, and Jesse. They're part of the 501st and yet theyre still ARCs.
In the US Army, you can be assigned to any division and still be an Army Ranger. The school is open to anyone who qualifies and can pass the harsh training.
For a real life example, my father served in the 82nd Airborne as an Army Ranger. While not technically a ranger since he wasnt in the 75th, he still had all the experience and the title. This is very much alike how troopers like Rex got their designation of ARC trooper.
Of course comparing beings bred for war to volunteers is going to have its problems. Star Wars military structure was all made up by people who arent military professionals. All in all, it's a fair comparison considering how hard different the militaries are.

The seals are definitely better than rangers
    Rangers are just “special” infantry
    Seals are actual commandos
Army Delta force as #1 slot and
Navy Seals as the #2 slot, would be a better comparison.

  • @justinsmith2394

Your analogy is backwards, if you're trying to describe ARC's as a jack of all trades then SEAL's are more fitting. SEAL stands for Sea Air and Land as they're capable in all capacities. Not all Rangers are required to complete a combat diving course.
