I have an Oster from the thrift shop..paid $15 and love it. I was a bit jealous seeing all the extras that came with a new unit. If you are just thinking about using a unit go to thrift shop. I love experimenting with different nuts, fruits, and types of bread. My friends are loving the unit also because I gift them my concoction!
I appreciate this.
The hook in the package is to remove the dough blade from the loaf of bread.
Thanks!
A person can pull the paddle before baking starts to not have to fish it out later and not have the paddle hole in the final loaf!
Thanks for the tip!
Yes, you can make fabulous sourdough…in the machine or mix and rise in machine and bake in oven. Because this machine is responsible for 15 new pounds on my body my daughter wants me to get a new hobby but still bake…giggle

How much flower did you use?
Here is what I use as a basic bread recipe:
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups milk
3 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter melted
1 tsp Olive oil
1(.25 ounce)package of active dry yeast(this equals 2 1/4 teaspoons)
How much salt? Looked like tablespoons? Oh, you were making an Express loaf, I see now. Thanks for the demo.
3 tablespoons of salt.
