I'm a 77 year old Boomer. We lived through the birth and rapid growth of Rock-N-Roll. I can attest to the fact that it was a really wild ride! It was terrific music, and loads of fun.
I just watched an old video from this channel - 15yrs ago . Done by this cool guy with a conversational delivery . So when did this other guy take it over ? The one who sounds like a kindergarten teacher talking to 4 year olds . Wow !
Thanks for lesson and thanks for showing us Parrott Ga. Eisntein and I both have the same Birthday, March 14, boy he was pissed when he found out about that.
Cool tune, awesome double stop solos, and a great lesson, appreciated you going over the other song parts a little bit (for me that type of stuff is just as good as the solos!), in addition to the awesome solos.
I'm really enjoying your channel. Thanks for putting all of this together. Perhaps someone already mentioned this in the past, but would it be possible to put the tab on screen while you are playing in the beginning of these lessons as well as over the backing track? I'm sure that would help everyone learn these pieces more efficiently.
I've heard this song but not by The Rocken Rs but by The 13 Cats. With Danny B Harvey on guitar. Formerly of The Rockats Smutty Smiff on Double bass. Also Formerly of the Rockats Tim polcat on Vocals. Formerly of the Pole Cats Slim Jim Phantom on stand-up drums. Formerly of The Stray Cats. Neo-Rockabilly Royalty each and every one of them. 👍🖖🤘
Thank you very much. I do plan on doing a James Burton lesson soon. I'm also hoping I can get James Burton interviewed on this channel someday as well. :)
Are those flatwound strings on that Gretsch ?? Does that 3/4 size Squire bass stay in tune ?? Is it lightweight ? Can you do a gig with that bass and not sound like an amateur ?
I have the guitar strung with roundwound strings 13-56 gauge. When I got the Mini P Bass it had some intonation issues that I had to address. It's a very lightweight instrument. It's kinda geared towards kids and it's probably not for everyone but it suits my needs. I wanted to get one to give my fingers some relief when I play Bass. I think this entry level bass holds it own and after giving the bass a good setup you could definitely play them out at a show
