Elvis was trained in karate, but I don't remember the degree of belt he'd achieved. He used karate moves onstage sometimes. Also, his jumpsuit is based on a karate outfit. His idea.
Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs ..... Did 31 Movies ..... Did 2 Documentaries ..... Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies alone ..... Who knows how many in the 50's and 60's }} ..... PLUS .... On August 31, 1957, Elvis, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, D.J. Fontana and the Jordanaires went to Vancouver by train to perform at Empire Stadium. It was the second stop of a tour of the Northwest that had started the day before in Spokane. By this time Elvis had recorded eight No. 1 singles in two years, had made three movies and was about to release 'Jailhouse Rock' as his latest single. Having performed in Toronto and Ottawa in April, this was only the third time they ever performed outside of the U.S. and for Elvis it would be the last. Vancouver's first rock-and-roll show had taken place barely a year before, when Bill Haley and the Comets drew 6,000 people to the Kerrisdale Arena. Now Elvis had drawn a crowd over four times larger. The 26,500 fans in attendance went wild for the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The stage was set up on the empty football field Elvis did it all ..... And he did them better than ..... ANYONE ELSE COULD ..... ANYONE ..... PERIOD .....
Elvis was the first rock and roll superstar, and he inspired many great bands including The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen , Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant praises Elvis and during interviews and speaks of how exciting it was to meet Elvis. Many great performers even copied the way Elvis was dressed during this concert.
Chuck Berry and Little Richard had a much greater musical influence on the Beatles than Elvis did. He was the pop superstar when they were emerging but Elvis admitted when he stopped making 2nd rate films and returned to music in the late sixties that the Beatles and Dylan had taking contemporary music to another level
@@MrAhuapai Perhaps musically, there were other influences for the Beatles, but in terms of his legendary status and precedent-setting star power and performances, the Beatles were in awe of Elvis. What a performer! He reached every age group. I saw him in concert, shortly before he passed away. I saw him in 1976. I was all of 19 years old back then, but I remember Elvis to this day. He was incredible! (A memory I will treasure forever.) By the way, Elvis was a fifth degree black belt in karate. Also, he performed in Hawaii with a 103* fever. You'd never would have realized that.

Elvis was an 8th degree black belt. In your last Elvis reaction I asked you if you would like me to send you links to choose from. I do this for a lot of reactors, and I really don't mind sending them to you. Elvis acted in 31 films between 1956 and 1969. I would recommend starting with King Creole from 1958. This was his 4th film and the film he said he really liked. It's also my favorite Elvis film. He hated most of the films he did. He wasn't able to choose his own films (contract). So they put him in these romantic films where he had to sing and he wanted to keep his film and music career separate. He wanted to be a serious actor and he was pretty good, having had no acting training. He could have been amazing with the right roles. Having said that, I love the following films King Creole, Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender (his first film), Loving You, G.I. Blues, Wild In The Country, Kid Galahad, Roustabout, Live A Little;Love A Little (It's funny), and It Happened At The World's Fair (This one wasn't too bad). Great reaction.
@@cynthiakoerner296 ooh yes. I liked that one too. That little girl was also brilliant in the film. That scene where Elvis is holding her and telling her he loves her, and she is fighting him, but he keeps holding her tight. Got emotional.

They answer Elvis fans questions and also share stories and memories of living at Graceland with Elvis. One of Billy's recent stories got me so emotional, I was crying. It's really nice to hear stories from his family members, people who were actually there with him. Touring with him, going on vacation with him and living with him. Consider the Following.: Elvis could and did Sing Bass, Baritone, 2nd Tenor and 1st Tenor. Also, Elvis successfully sang Rock N' Roll, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Broadway, Blues, And Rhythm and Blues. And Elvis is the only Performer in the History of Recorded Music that is a Member of FIVE Music Halls Of Fame ! Rock 'n Roll , R & B , Rockabilly , Country and Gospel! Elvis recorded 875 songs! Yes he was and he sometimes would incorporate karate stances during his performances. I saw him in concert in 1976. Sad how his life unraveled and he lost his way.
Ola, I wanted to add another comment. You mentioned at the end that Elvis was getting tired. It is insanely difficult and exhausting to perform like this. Years ago, I was part of a group that did about a 5 minute musical routine. About 2 minutes in, I was completely exhausted. This song was just a small part of the show that night. Elvis must have been in amazing shape to perform the entire show.

@@courtneynairn508 yes, I loved that scene as well. Elvis made a very fine doctor.
@@cynthiakoerner296 He sure did. I hate going to the doctor, but if my doctor looked like that, I would be there everyday. 🤣
@@cynthiakoerner296 Meant to ask you. Are you subscribed to Elvis' cousin, Billy Smith, and their son, Danny Smith (Elvis' second cousin).
They answer Elvis fans questions and also share stories and memories of living at Graceland with Elvis. One of Billy's recent stories got me so emotional, I was crying.
It's really nice to hear stories from his family members, people who were actually there with him. Touring with him, going on vacation with him and living with him. They are open to answer just about anything you ask.
If you are not subscribed to them and would like to check out their channels, I can drop the link here for you.
I was lucky to have seen him in person when I was 18 ❤
So BEAUTIFUL ❤
A mass of talent The King for ever
Yup. Elvis did 31 movies not counting specials about his life and/or performances.
His performance of Let's Pretend is sexy as all get out.

King Elvis Also Was Eight-Degree black belt That's Why He Was Able To Move On Stage Like That. RAW TALENT!

To me this is the ultimate performance on stage, he's having fun, his voice is perfect and his energy is off the scale
ELVIS ! Is the King of MUSIC !!
A Professor Of Music At Harvard University said that Elvis was such an Extremely Gifted Vocalist because he had Vocal Registers normally found only in Professionally, Voice Trained, Opera singers. He closed his article by saying that Elvis could hit Hi ''G '' Notes that would make a Baritone Opera Singer turn Green with Envy ! No One else In the History of Recording has ever come close to matching the Versatility, the Vocal Range, and the Number of records Sold over 2.5 Billion Worldwide ! And Elvis holds the record of having the Highest LP Album Sales Worldwide also! 206,800,000 Albums Sold Worldwide !! Elvis gave 1,684 Concerts and over 6,000 Live Performances during his career as a Entertainer Super Star,a astonishing and amazing achievement not surpassed by anyone ! And over 2.5 Billion Records sold Worldwide ! The Highest Selling Single Artist in the History of Recorded Music ! AND the Only Entertainer in the World that is a member of 5 Music Halls of Fame ! Rock 'n Roll, Rockabilly , Country, R & B, and Gospel ! And 21 other Halls of Fame !
That's Why Elvis is the KING of Music !!!
He was also a Black belt in Karate. That's where his flexibility came from.
he reallyy does have one of the most beautiful smiles...his profile is amazing, too.
Get the versions from the 1968 comeback special, these two are live and are Elvis at his most raw and perfect. So incredibly good: "Tryin' To Get To You", and "One Night With You".
Great suggestions and a must for every new Elvis fan!
Amazing reaction. Please try American Triology, Bridge over troubled water, my way. Thanks 💕💕💕💕
Hi Olavity, thank you for your nice reaction! Please react to BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER, live 1970. Tomorrow is E1vis birthday! 💫 Many stars have come and gone, but E1vis is the whole universe and the big bang! The GOAT!👑
Yes!
His songs were always being played in our house when I was a child. My father looked just like him.
Yeah the ladies really love Elvis Presley
Elvis was FREAKISHY beautiful….him & David Bowie have the same birthday….idk, maybe there’s something about that b-day that makes ppl gorgeous 🤷♂
My brother would have loved hearing you say that, it was also his birthday.
Elvis Forever ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah I love Elvis smile too so sexy
I saw Elvis on Long Island, NY in 1973. I'm a 60's hippie and love the Beatles, Hendrix, Clapton etc. But "ELVIS" is and always will be the KING.
Elvis was also a black belt in karate
Yes he was and he sometimes would incorporate karate stances during his performances. I saw him in concert in 1976. Sad how his life unraveled and he lost his way.
Ola, I wanted to add another comment. You mentioned at the end that Elvis was getting tired. It is insanely difficult and exhausting to perform like this.
Years ago, I was part of a group that did about a 5 minute musical routine. About 2 minutes in, I was completely exhausted.
This song was just a small part of the show that night. Elvis must have been in amazing shape to perform the entire show.
@DanielFrost21, Elvis had to do 2 performances a day at the Las Vegas Hilton. It had to have been extremely exhausting. 🩵💙🩵💙🩵
Simply THE KING!
You really must see the 68 comeback special! He is absolutely incredible! He’s the only singer to never need the now used vocal enhancements!
plenty of singers don’t use vocal enhancers boomers love thinking they do everything better lmao/
The King is the King for a reason!
