- Ryan bought this Supra years ago when it was NA and neglected, and he’s turned it into an immaculate, single-turbo beauty. We had no boost for the first half of our drive (later discovered to be unsecured intercooler piping), which just gave us the opportunity to discover what an excellent car this is in the corners.

Something about the mk4 supra man, it's just timeless. Very professional video, keep it up.
Supras around the 700HP range are sweet. Props to the owner for making that decision. I feel like a lot of people ruin the Supra by going overboard and ending up with a car that has massive lag, isn't streetable and is basically just a drag car at the end of the day. The Supra isn't about that. Its an excellent Grand Tourer and it should stay that way.

Syner genesis people are so quick to ditch the Twin's and go Single Turbo... In most cases, i prefer upgraded twins over a big single. Yes the Single Turbo setup is more simple as far as exhaust, intake, IC plumbing, etc.. But I love the feel of some really responsive, high quality twin turbos boosting up.. Torque for days lol. And will still pull just as hard to Redline if properly sized turbo's are used.
I think that people have overlooked the supra to what it actually is for example if your supra doesn't have 1,000 bhp it won't get noticed, if your supra isn't a drag car it won't get noticed, if your supra doesn't have an anti-lag system or if it isn't a show car it won't get noticed. This guy has gone with something different and I like that.

Refreshing to see someone just build a car for driving and being content! Rather then trying to build a 1000hp headache. And really cool that he had no experience at all and just went for it.

For a car that’s 25 years old I can still say it looks sexy and can still holds its own in the performance department. A very well engineered masterpiece in my opinion. The 2JZ has gotta be one of the best sounding engines of ALL TIME.

I'm going through the same thing...same engine (non-VVTi 2JZ) with the same transmission (W58) in my MX32. Got it up and running well, about to slap my first "big" turbo on.
I was researching the transmission issue as well. Looking at the 350z transmission as well.

DREAM CAR. Its so beautiful... I could take a chair sit by this car and stare at it all day. Its looks so modern !
Also one of the BIGGEST misconception and lie thats utter bullshit shit is that the supra cant handle. The supra was one of the BEST handling cars in the world when it came out. It even held for a while the shorting braking distance record. Hell it was one of the lightest cars in its class. I watched a test where the stock Supra was faster around a track then the Mazda RX7. ALL reviews of the supra praised its handling stock.. I dont get where people even got saying it cant handle even came from... i guess the haters. The Supra was the best well rounded RWD car from japan.

Mkiv was heavier than mk3 and r32. But had a great engine. Cool interior, good top speed. Even tho a lot of people think it’s the greatest car in the world😂🤦♂️

To be honest....Clicked on this video with the sound down low, just expecting to see pictures and videos of the car itself... Heard buddy say " when i was 16" Cranked the fucking volume and felt so damn good because now i know its bein done... went through the same thing. Legit planning out shit right now, Buying a cheep N/A supra, some what fair condition and slamming the gte motor in it. and doing a bit of work. never have i dont major work on a car, seen it, bein there when its going on, ripped a motor out but never had the experience of putting one in.. wonder how the future for me is gunna be.

The 1990 Nissan Twin Turbo Z with 300 hp started this trend and won car and drivers award for 4-5 years not to mention Ridley Scott's one time Super Bowl commercial. At the time, it was faster than a Vette or 911 (no turbos that year). It had 4 wheel steering and kicked ass even against Ferrari Testerosa that had 350 hp. I raced one in the hills in Nor Cal and learned they had skid pads as it bottomed out on a turn with sparks flying and almost crashed. The Supra was overpriced 45k+ and late to the market when the Japanese 90s super cars ended.... no more Mazda, NSX, Z, and lastly the Supra..... sadly ended the era... Now I waited for a similar car to my 90 Twin Turbo Z, to get a 2006 G35 infiniti with about the same specs.... Sadly the Fast and the Furious has ignored the famous Z and G (now stupid Q label with no stick - WTF) for the Toyota Supra - that never really sold and ended the Japan Super Car Era.

Owner is an inspiration. Currently working on a 94 lightly modded Supra I picked up off a guy bout 2 hours away last summer. I am thinking of settling at 700hp give or take and just have a driveable, casual, not overboard car as the owner touched up on in the video. Any tips and suggestions are immensely appreciated as to where I can find parts (I live in Toronto, Canada), which parts to avoid, etc etc literally any information as I am basically starting out as the owner did; minimal knowledge, big potential. :) Great video guys

The thing about supras is that when its stock, its already an amazing car that makes a respectful amount of hp. Slapping 1000 hp in my opinion is way to much for me, as it just becomes a dragster. 700 is perfect and respectful, as you get that power you want and you’re able to take it from point a to point b

Ok wow that's really cool. Do you mind if i ask how much it cost you for a whole new engine? Was the engine difficult to find? And was it hard to swap out the engine? I'm asking as soon i'm going to be 18 and have always loved the Supra, but the Twin Turbo Supra is illegal to own on your P Plates and i'm just looking at other options. Thank you
