Man... I think I understand why youtubers/influencers work. As an audience, we just funnel money into them and live vicariously through them. Watching your guys' videos, I get so jealous. I've been meaning to work on it, I was working on it for a good several months or so but was tired of seeing it on jack stands and now I'm too scared to put it back up. But I mean, more than that I'm just tired in general. Tired of work, tired of having to choose between spending time with my friends or my girlfriend. Having to choose between working on my project car or spending time with my friends. And when I work on my project car, I know it's just not a financially sound choice. Wasting hours on video games is way cheaper than fixing up the Miata. Life lately feels like a long list of procrastinations, unfulfilled dreams, and a lot of 'what ifs'. These videos are inspiring in way that makes me want to continue working on my car, but they're also sobering. I lack the expertise, the tools, the team, the... funds... I wonder if I'll own an RX7 one day.
I love these types of videos from you guys. There’s truly so much you’re doing over time with individual cars, it’s great to have an individual recap of them.
I know a dude where I work that pulled a manual IS300 out of a field across from our dealership (sat for at least 6 years). He cleaned it up and wound up making pretty good money off it.
Color, seats, interior and in just in one word everything is amazing, If I was going to add anything honestly, I would go for door sealers, door bounds bad
The fd is definitely worth putting more love into! Im a honda guy but ive had a rotory and i couldnt help but love them, the functionality of a honda swapped rx7 may be sacrilegious to some but thats the beauty of every builds journey to becoming what you wanted your car to be! I applaud the dedication to see it through til the end! As for my vote a dct would be fun but i think a sequential would be funner
As a fellow honda head who also owes a k swapped ek hatch, I have to say this fd is my favorite of all of your cars. In for more upgrades to this thing 😎
Tell me why i had a dream about yall last night? A eg hatchback with a "k23" engine from an "Acura C3" lol. Craziest part was yall converted it to middle hand drive. Yes the driver seat was in the middle like a Mclaren F1 and it had 3 seats.
Great content! Learned a lot more about the FD RX7 build from few years ago. But I’m still waiting for Episode 4 of the 2023 Civic Type R rebuild series….
now We already get Mitsubishi lancer evo , honda civic , mazda rx-7 k-swap, now we need a video about suzuki cappucino and the toyota MR-S , dont forget about the ford Z28 timelapse too❤
Update the exhaust. Everytime i see that dual exit muffler it just makes me think of some homeboy special hanging under a caprice or something. Something that sounds good and looks good. No hood or bumper exit please.
dct would make sense for a track car imo, when you want to eak out every tenth of a second this thing as a pretty, non aero daily driver should stay manual if you must make a transmission change go to a manually actuated dog box sequential with shift change sensor for flat foot shifting.
"I could give this car all sorts of abuse and it would just take it"
minutes later: "well, i blew up the rx7"
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Rx7 actives 😢
I’m making this video to make more money - Ben 2024
Honesty is the best policy.
They deserve an easy week once in a while
Love when people are complaining about free content.
Just mad you don’t have an RX-7
It's not free, you pay for it with your time and they get paid through sponsors and ad revenue
It’s crazy to think you built an rx7 in 20 min
imagine what he could do with 4 years 🤯
The color is looking perfect on that car . Doesn't matter if it's rotary or k-swaped, it's just looking awesome

20b for me, but the K is interesting.
I would love to do a 20b swap!
Everyone wants a 20B until they get the quote for one.

@@dabigesiiliterally nothing factory style about that build. Different engine, different transmission, different rear suspension.
20b is like 15k. K is $1000. And more reliable and gets better gas mileage. But for coolness and sound, 20b is where its at.

Shout out to that shop Southern Comfort that fixed up the FD when you needed it 🤙🏼 can't forget the little guys who are around when it counts

Ben must really love when these kinda videos hit the analytics at 10 out of 10
Don't DCT swap unless you're chasing lap time. You'll miss that dopamine of a perfect downshift.
That FD is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen😍😍😍
The dirty rx7 on a road with mountains in the background at 12:59 looks so mesmerizing....
We need a series where both Bens work on the same car together
We’ve done that a few times, check out the Honda Insight, Honda Civic EF drag build, or Camaro budget build!

My man, I came back 4 days later just to say how much i loved this video! It doesn't matter if you made the content for extra money , i just loved it!
This is truly the most tasteful RX-7 build on the internet. And the yellow one is a close second
It'll be a great day when G&G get their hands on an IS300.
Nah give us an altima, or g35
I agree @gearsandgasoline get an is300 build!

@@Wind_slash0boring. At least make it a Z and preferably a 300zx
With all the work, changes and mods that have gone into this car, oddly I'm just so glad you put the proper steering wheel in it 👍
Awesome video as always Ben and Crew.
This build will go down in gears and gasoline History you and Asian Ben came a very long way keep movin and groovin 💯🤝
This videos give me the motivation to work on my project car every weekend

been watching this build since pandemic! Really blown that it has been 4 years since.
Honestly something like this is my dream build. Love the looks and handling of the FD and the powertrain you put in it is awesome. Hell yeah man

Thanks for making this! New to the channel and was looking for a complete story and timeline on this car. Loved the video
do believe its on one of the best sounding K's out there!
I love Saturdays! It’s my Monday as I’m a weekend RN sooo please keep making my end of shift plans even better!
I’m so glad we got to see this. Thank you Ben!
Another big road trip! Iam in and cannot wait!!!!
love how you handled this topic, very insightful!
Dude driving that thing out in the twistys in the woods would bring peace and harmony to my soul.
K swapping that rx7 wasn't a bad idea at all i actually love it !!
Very well made vid. I was glued to the screen the whole time.
Paint it. A long video in painting it yourself would be awesome and I know yall will do a banger job.
Arguably the most beautiful car to ever come out of Japan!
It's awesome to see what you can do with literally any platform with some good technicians. Great job team! Can't wait to see what is next!
The 10:11 drop🔥 Now, thats editing ❤️
Dude what a nice build...those wheels are sick!
One of the best channels
go wild on the exterior with genuine parts... and interior as well
Great video! Loved seeing the entire journey from the ground up!
this video put a smile on my face for sure. thank you
I’m a die hard Honda guy, but the FD is my attainable dream car as well. It would have to be a K, I do not have the patience for a rotary.
You’d be wasting your time when you could just buy a s2000. Also building a rotary is significantly less work than swapping in a Honda engine.
Wow my man this car looks and sounds insane
No automatic transmission should go in that classic JDM beauty, no way.
Not your car, so your opinion holds no value
@@Glenn056 Ben asked for our opinions on what to do.
Yes it should
A DCT would actually be interesting, I don’t think it’ll remove any fun from the car at all

Happy to see this :) What about the ZX2?! Need to do something with it! Track day?
Man that RX7 road trip was probably my favorite one
Love waking up on saturdays to these guys posting! Keeping my car love alive😅😅😅
awesome build as always guys
Beautiful car! Keep it with the manual transmission. I would do something to the front grill, it looks kinda messy.
Congrats and enjoy it!
These recap vids are great please do more
Beautiful RX-7!
Beautiful build bro 💪💪
seeing people building their dream car is awesome, I'm not quite there but someday 😊
Yes I will share this video. Even with people that don't care about cars. A view is a view.
If I had a car like that, I wouldn't care what brand of parts it has just to keep it running and also if it makes it better.
I remember watching this channel when you had the Escort still being built.
FD RX-7 I always thought looked best with no wing. At least not one that looks like it came from AutoZone!! LOL!!
The names of the "sections" are just hilarious in every video 😂
As a fellow honda head who also owes a k swapped ek hatch, I have to say this fd is my favorite of all of your cars. In for more upgrades to this thing 😎
I recently watched a few road trip series from you guys, happy to see these cars again
It looks so nice, I want one now 😬
K series are the LS of 4 bangers lol.
Talk about going the distance! Much respect

It has not been 4 years dude 😭😭😭 WHAT
I enjoyed this video, thank you chaps.
I always watch rx7 content it's my dream car too 😊
Sequential shifter should be next!
why tho? MDCT or ZF8HP will shift nearly as fast for a fraction on the cost.
I loved the Detroit muscle reference 😅
Best FD build on UA-cam in my opinion. Have all the looks and handling characteristics of a FD, but with part availability and simplicity of a Honda!
Personally, I think a track day video with the rx7 would be really cool
super nice build it’s looks great i bet it’s a blast. to drive
No DCT nor any other automatic, ever! Manual ftw! A turbo is enough of “modern upgrades” for this great car.

How the car was when you bought it looks exactly like how my miata used to! tan interior, montego blue except for a red driver/ left fender.
Update the exhaust. Everytime i see that dual exit muffler it just makes me think of some homeboy special hanging under a caprice or something. Something that sounds good and looks good.
No hood or bumper exit please.
I think a sequential transmission would be interesting to see.
0:23 it's not about the engine it's about that brap brab brap brab brap
awesome , big like from slovakia 👌
me having my fd, you guys make me want to finish the project !!
THE OG GARAGE
Bring back your non running Subaru 😁😁😁😁
Great looking car
Smaller more tasteful rear spoiler would suit it better vs giant wing as far as cosmetic only mods go, imo. Everything else, pretty good.
This is a filler video, but that's ok. I'm gonna drop this comment and like the video to help with the algorithm.
This thing is sweet!
one single exit hks or catback exhaust needed
BRING THE FL5 BACK. WANT TO SEE WHAT WHEELS YOUR GUYS INSTALLED
dct would make sense for a track car imo, when you want to eak out every tenth of a second
this thing as a pretty, non aero daily driver should stay manual
if you must make a transmission change go to a manually actuated dog box sequential with shift change sensor for flat foot shifting.
i'd love to watch Ben and Ben travelling around the country
Looks great and it reliable ❤❤
Time to paint that thing!
