Just got my Hero12 today. So it seems like if I want to switch between vertical and wide edits on Quik, that means I have to always be shooting in full frame mode, correcT?
The video I look forward to seeing the most, after every new GoPro camera launch 😊 Glad to see the Bluetooth audio connectivity feature....this is something that I always wished to have in the GoPro cameras.

My question would be if when you connect the camera to the AirPods, you can use them not only as a microphone, but also for sound control. For me, it would also be important to be able to choose whether to use the AirPods in headset mode or in a pure headphone mode to control the internal sound. If you could also connect USB microphones to it, I would even consider trading in my GoPro Hero 11 for the 12's. Unfortunately, however, I fear that GoPro has again only half done. But at least you now finally have a control image in the app even during recording.

You can use max lens mod 1.0 on HERO12 but it WILL NOT shoot in 4k60. The main reason is that together with the 8:7 sensor max lens mod 2.0 is optimise to capture in a higher resolution
It’s an entirely different camera….I think that’s a bit of a stretch. It’s a GP 11 without GPS and a firmware update. So I guess it IS a whole new camera with the removal of the GPS.
I wasnt sold on the GoPro 12 until I saw Max Lens Mod 2.0... For my POV kayak videos that is next level exciting, so looking forward to your review on that.
The one thing that mini reviewers of the GoPro hero 12 we’re not talking about is the removal of the GPS data from the GoPro’s. There are probably many people who didn’t use this feature, but for some of us it’s a huge disappointment.

I bought the GoPro HERO12 Black and the DJI Osmo Action 4. After 1 week testing both next to each other by day, by low light, by night, with stabilizer while running and while biking, i returned the GoPro HERO12 Black to the Seller. The small software changes to the GoPro are negligible. The most important things for an action cam are the stabilizer, video quality, low light recording, night shots and battery life. All 5 areas are handled better by the DJI 4. No sensor improvement and no touch display on the front. So if you have the GoPro 11, you don't have to worry about buying a GoPro 12. POINTLESS. In my experience, anyone who needs a new action cam is better off with the DJI Osmo Action 4. Maybe the GoPro 13 will actually see real improvements next year. Let's see.
well, there are several reviews out there. My personal opinion as a creator, the HERO12 captures in the 8:7 aspect ratio, & that's a HUGE game changer. I no longer have to worry about framing my shot vertical or horizontal. + if you're really chasing that image quality, HERO12 captures up to 5.3K even in 8:7 - that's 24.7MP every single frame!
welll in my usage of the camera, I have never ran into overheating issues. that said, GoPro has mention that thermal shutdown limits have improved across resolutions + frame rates when compared to HERO11 Black.
GoPro cameras were never designed to sit in place and shoot for hours they are action cameras used to shoot your mini adventures outdoors and on the Go

Does the GoPro still cut off a small part of audio at the end of each chapter ,,,only small amount is cut off but you will hear it and see it when editing (between chapters) 👎
VIdeo chaptering is intentional, so if a crash causes a file to become corrupted, only a portion of your video will be affected, not the whole thing. I believe the current threshold per video is 4GB. that said, you should NOT lose any parts of your video with chaptering
@@AdventuresofRon can you have a look at the audio file in your editor and see if there is a split second cut off at the end of each chapter ,, I’m guessing a lot of users don’t notice it ..thanks

that's correct! i'd recommend to shoot always in Full Frame or 8:7 aspect ratio!
