    A lot of dovetailing going on in this one, with different methods of making them. So if you like dovetails or want to learn how to make them, you´re in for a treat ;)
    This is the second video in a longer series about making a versatile Workbench/Workstation. This project is especially awesome for small workshops but the general construction methods can be used for any size wood shop!
    The design is based on a workbench from a German woodworking magazine, presented in two of their issues that I bought a couple of years ago and in this video:
    • Hobelbank & Maschinent...
    Here´s a short list of tools that I use or that went into the workbench. These are affiliate links that will lead you straight to the amazon page of the item.

    It makes a refreshing change to see the use of traditional cut joints used instead of pocket screws and the like. Carry on young man 👍🏻 14:42

    With the increasing cost of lumber starting back in 2019, this design seems more and more attractive.

    these are great videos. Just the right amount of explanation, and I really enjoy the metric/imperial translations! Very well done on editing and execution of the project.

    my garage/shop is about the same size so i understand the challenges of working in such a small area! I'm now subscribed and look forward to the rest of this build!!!

      Hi Dru, thank you! It´s an interesting challenge though, you can not allow yourself any clutter or stuff you don´t need, so in a way a small shop can be very fun and effective.
      Thank you for subbing!

    In this application, the dovetails are completely decorative but nice. The space frame holds it together.

    what program did you use to make that design and how do you now how much wood to use thanks I subscribed

    • @pilotsworkshop4554
      @pilotsworkshop4554  7 років тому

      Hi, you can use any CAD program for 3D modeling something like this. The thickness of the wood is mainly by feeling/ by the eye. And once you know what you want to build you know exactly how much wood you need.

    Very nice work. Mind if I make a suggestion? You really need to spread the glue thoroughly with a brush on your glue ups-for example, when you glued up the main boards from smaller boards, and when gluing up the dovetails.
