It was a pleasure being featured on this video, thank you sir!!! And yes, I was that security guard at ALDIs supermarket in Jamaica Ave, New York! Hehe
Growing up in Jamaica in the 90s was a very wild time, basically anything under Hillside Ave was a hot area. I'm grateful to my parents for moving us out when we did. I still visit cousins there from time to time, it has changed a lot recently, but it's still Jamaica. Always be aware when you're out there.
Jamaica has grown a lot from 15 years ago. Lots of services for the public and wide streets. You can tell it can be developed even more because of how spacious the land is.
First time Jamaica Avenue used to be so crowded everyday but it's not anymore I live in Jamaica for 30 years and I think it's a wonderful place to live it's not too violent and it's very nice you can it's close by you can leave from where you live to go to Jamaica Avenue get what you want and go back home so it's very good place to live thank you
Great video! I moved away in 1977. Did you know that the elevated QJ now the J train used to be on Jamaica Avenue all the way to 169th St & Jamaica Avenue before it was turned into a subway that ends at Archer & Sutphin Blvd. I used to go to Thomas Edison High school located up the hill by Grand Central Blvd at 165-65 84th Ave Jamaica, NY 11432. Every day I walked up that hill and back down to Jamaica Ave to catch the QJ train back to Crescent and Fulton Street Station in Cypress Hills/City Line Brooklyn. Would enjoy seeing you make that walk up the hill to Thomas Edison High School.
Thanks for sharing. I love to watch and listen to content about my beloved NYC, especially Jamaica Ave, Queens, Woodside, Roosevelt Ave, and Jackson Heights. Fun Fact, I was the first ever to start the rush hour carfare ride from Hollis Ave to 169st station, putting me through Queens and Manhattan college
Wow, the park is a beautiful addition to the area, haven't visited home in over a decade. and the very last time was during 911, a lot has differently changed
I love seeing. Jamaica queens in vids I miss it so much I'm from Laurelton in the south eastern part of queens not far from Jamaica ave take 5 bus there
Hello Sifat, would you catch Little Amal somewhere in the city while she's still in town. I think that you'll enjoy the experience. I have already caught up with her twice in Brooklyn and I will catch her again tomorrow because she will be in my neighborhood on Thursday. It might rain so it may be quite interesting.

Jamaica Avenue has always been that wide, but it is definitely being gentrified. Unfortunately.
Jamaica feels like a city within a city.
Jamaica I spent so many times throughout my lifetime living there!

I'm your Brazilian fan. Keep up with the quality of live streamings.
Good ol’ Jamaica Ave! If I don’t feel like driving to Aldi’s at Green Acres , I take the bus to Aldi’s in Jamaica.
Thank you for the memories, went to Tabernacle for so many years, at that time so huge to me but so small now.
