I consider these videos a warning to anyone who enters the commentary community. Lot's of people that hate you can put allegations against you and this community will put you on the chopping block. I ain't part of the community, but make good friends and make sure you double check anything you say.

Plus this is a fair couple of people out of the millions of people online. Especially with with Creepshow, that just shows how easy you can just hide things online. I can tell you for sure there are responsible and reasonable people out there, it’s just there are soo many people being toxic and petty, it’s hard to pick out people from the crowd. And that even depends if every person we pick out is or isn’t as bad as we think. During that chat recording, Spoctor was initially rather calm and collective about the discussion at hand, then suddenly after Peaches just asked, what are his personal thoughts on Lin-lin's video. Two loud and off focus sound from his mic and then he changed moods instantly to passive aggressive behavior and only spoke a few words. The back and forth between Spoctor and Lyo had, low-key reminded me of the scene where Arthur tells Moray he how awful people are. Especially when he catches on this will be put in a video. Like it had a similar energy to that scene for me. It was lowkey disturbing as well. (If I didn't know any better, I bet it would've escalated into a shouting match for how Spoctor was becoming too emotionally unstable at that given time.)

It's literally how groomers act (coming from a victim of grooming). It's why people still bother to defend people like Spoctor, because they choose not to see past his little facade he's built up over the years.
For the record: After the first call, Spoctor waited until I went to bed, then came into Senate. He just made excuses in the call with Peaches. The next day, he put out a weak "apology tweet", and Peaches rejected it. Spoctor then spent the entire day crying in the VC of someone's server, trying to act the victim.
I honestly questioned why, in the same sense like Junkie. I know you Lio wouldn't instantly go savage on him for his mistakes. But still keep it stern as you usually would for anyone else that has done the same. Because truth be told, I'm not much older than Spoctor, probably only like two years and I would personally admit to mistakes like that completely. Especially knowing it's not the biggest and worst thing I've done personally, but honestly I know it can't ruin me. But I will feel little sympathy for him that, the people he has been friends with were outed as horrible individuals left and right and loosing them that way will still hurt, even if you had no involvement with their downfall. By the end of the day, it is his decision if he wants to leave as a well respected guy with several faults/flaws. Or just another pathetic individual who didn't want to take accountability.

Well I think you have to consider that spoc is a human and he has a life outside of this drama. If he's left, it's clear that it's not something he wants to care or hear about. HE LEFT for a reason, it's not 'telling' that he acted petty in a call with people who know him only from his online persona. he's not acting like a child, he's behaving like a bored and sick adult who cares not about internet drama. he's been dealing with this shit longer than I've been in this community, and by the tone of the call, it doesn't sound like he was directly infromed of how this is important. maybe consider the fact that he no longer sees this as his life, but just words and voice lines coming from a screen. No hate, of course.

I got to the peaches call and decided to click back on the tab, getting hit with peaches being a pie, spoctor being croc, and lio being alex the lion back to back to back sent me into a laughing fit, comedy gold...but on the real, what happened with Spoctor is so weird, he went from being hated to loved then hated again, its like a boomerang
this situation shows you that terrible people will try to do harm to equally terrible people, and that those situations will not necessarely change the equally awful victim. at this point both Pentagon, Stories, and Spock have showed that they are all a bunch of turds. The fact that Spock repeatedly used his past drama to gader simpathy during his call out reaaaaaally pissed me off, that is one of the things that annoyed me the most.
I gotta say I feel bad for lio and peaches during the call, but I couldn't help but laugh once I realized spoctor was purposely trying to throw the convo. It was a watching a train wreck moment cause I knew it wasn't going to go down well for him and potentially the other two depending on how they deal with having sincerity met with childushness.
That discord was pretty much the most discord call to ever discord. We had wind, chip bags, booming voices, the entirety. And damn, Spoctor's ego in that call is fucking something. I used to be a fan but now it seems that he was being fucking fake the entire fucking time on his channel since the Stories shit. Holy shit. I hope he's gone for good, since he doesn't care about the shit he said and how he treats other people. People like that are dangerous.
Bruh same, I not exactly a fan but he was the first individual who did commentary to me. (One of his video, recommended for me years back) Before I meet/watch others (Sensitive Society, Dumpy, Lanza and such) commentary and rants stuff which I never interested or relate to. It’s sorta… thought I wasn’t the only one do critical thinking about the certain topics. If it wasn’t Spoctor, I would’ve been there to know what’s going on about UA-cam controversy but.. I’m grateful enough. Shame that I didn’t know what happened to Spoctor yet… I owned them in my mind.

I wanted to add a HUGE issue I saw in spoctors video on peaches which somehow few over most peoples radars. He at first tried to come off as empathic saying "I've been where you've been" basically and then said that he handled it better. Imagine saying to someone "I know your pain but I handled it better".
When I first heard that, I knew something felt off about what Spoctor said but I just didn't think much about it then. But now that you bring it up, it really does seem like he was using his past situation to demean Peaches there. Which is ironic given that Spoctor would take issue with people comparing him to Peaches months later.

Everyone that reaches out for stability in times of crisis deserves help, or at the very least a kind word and links to professional resources. Telling someone to keep quiet about their pain only helps it to grow. Hopefully everyone's learned from their mistakes against other creators by now and won't repeat them, be it from dumbness or a thirst for views.
Holy Hell, the Spoctor call was awkward to listen to. Did he open his window, eat some chips and then lost his mind. The dude sounded like he's trippin. The way he spoke just reminded me of when I was in therapy and hated my therapist so much that I purposefully blocked and sabotaged all meetings.
when me and birdie were helping out spoctor with the most recent birdie video, he treated us all very, very badly, and barely listened to our stories properly. quite a lot of information in that video wasn’t specifically super accurate. i looked up to him a lot, so it’s upsetting seeing how he treated me and others. i don’t think he’s a necessarily bad guy, but he very much hasn’t treated people the best.
i think the comment on how birdie should be looked at like an animal and, if i recall he said, "they cant be helped" was a big red flag. context: this was in a video of his where he basically goes through a lot of drama that happened with birdie

Dude, that call between Spoctor, Peaches, and Lio was almost hard to listen to. His attitude, especially towards the end of their call, was just so shocking and sad to see him act this childish. Also, adding that with Spoctor's attitude, I do feel it might've been influenced by Junkie. Now, this is just a little theory of mine, so take it with a grain of salt, but just the way he's acted and how two faced he's been just to sound holier than thou I just feel it got latched onto from Junkie maybe. From what i rememberd the two were pretty close friends, so maybe his toxic behavior could have latched onto him. Again, it's just me throwing in guesses of my own, but just the way he's been dismissive of everyone's feelings like Peaches and Hiten just makes me so mad over his current behavior now. Or hey, maybe he was always just two-faced and hid it well until now, who knows.
That’s most likely why he never mentions Junkie anymore. All of this isn’t it’s surface level crap people are trying to pull together to get some “reasonable” end to this. But we don’t know anything else besides just Spoctor leaving. We don’t know how close those two were, but for sure I can say that being close to someone like Junkie, who was outed for being manipulative and toxic…. He could’ve easily been affected by him, since he is still young.

He hurt Hiten by basically looking her in the eyes and saying "You're overreacting to petty behavior" when she had her freaking commentary carreer ruined by Junkie. He never gave a full, true-hearted apology to Hopeless Peaches after he participated in the commentary community's dog piling on her. He has yet to make a video addressing his bad mental health takes. He has yet to make a video that apologizes for what he has done without making half of it commentating on someone. When the call first started, I was like, “It can’t be that bad!” Oh. OH it was bad. The fact that I looked up to Spoctor for always admitting when he was wrong and being civil about many situations where- well frankly he didn’t need to be. But that call erased everything I thought. The way he acted was childish, and I can’t believe I could ever look up to someone like that.

I actually recently unsubbed from Spoctor, not because of drama but because it looked like he was done uploading videos. Holy fuck didn't expect things to go as far south as they ended up going.

The instant he started to drown out Peaches and stating "I've done nothing wrong" Made me remember when John Swan got called out for his lying and became overly Borderline and Apathetic about his actions. The tone shift really make me think he was two-faced about the topics he covered and that what he was saying was hollow. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because like you guys said: forgave him due to almost getting canceled. When the mistakes started to show up and made me think that it was just an accident or a mistake on his part but after that tone shift. It was the slip of the mask moment for sure and if he had that mindset like that when making his other videos. What makes Spoctor any different from John Swan or even Junkie? He didn't walked away because he was making mistakes, he walked away because he knew he lost that power he had on the community. Dang I didn’t know there was drama that led him to leave. I just saw the thumbnail to his video of him leaving the commentary community and got sad. I assumed it was just burnout or trying to avoid drama with the cancellation of other commentary UA-camrs. I feel sad because I enjoyed his content. We’ll never know what happens behind the scenes, I can’t have a full opinion on his innocence, but I still don’t think he should be demonized. Hopefully he gets the help he needs. A shame the last we’ll see of him on the internet is him leaving in shame and everyone hating him even in the tweet where he said he’s getting help. You’re pretty much the last of this part of the commentary genre that hadn’t been cancelled that I watch. Hopefully things go well for you because this community’s track record has not been kind to the people in it
I highly doubt anything will matter with these people, regardless. Simply put, this whole community is petty as hell. They’ll yell all of these stupid things, basically being at everyone’s throat. All of this drama just shows how emotionally unstable this whole community is, the pettiness knows no bounds. Despite some people being rightfully thrown down, and shown their true colors. Everyone will take him leavening as if he’s some coward, but won’t ever realize the fault in this brand new drama. He gave perfectly sound reasons why he left, that he should’ve just never got involved cuz he and many others can’t be calm and collective. Possibly the only one who does well in this community, is Ponder. Going and diving deep into dramas, to collect every single bit of informations from every party, debunk things, and paint a better picture on how everything is (meanwhile some other people make it vague and really petty) Weather he’s supposedly egotistical, a hypocrite, or whatever else this community says… he’s right in saying he wasn’t a good fit for this community. His young self should’ve never gotten involved, but we can’t exactly change the past, so he has to deal with everything that’s happened since then. However, I do think he should make a video apologizing for the horrible mental health takes, because in his video about leaving the commentary community he only very briefly mentioned the DID video when it hurt a lot of people and spread misinformation. Peaches sounded like she really just wanted to talk things out. I know it sounded pretty interrogative but there's no other way for peaches to have the discussion. To me, it looks like she just wanted clarify Spoctors opnions before bringing up issues she had with his videos. It really sucked see him be a dick to her despite her efforts. Now I can say JAR is the longest commentary youtuber when it comes to art and drama and stuff that I have watched so far. I remember I used to play bioshock with your commentary playing in the background a few yrs back. If not then it was spoctor or junkie or other forgotten youtubers. Damn. If I can theorize for a second. Because he was acting calm and normal in the beginning of the call I think he was going to take it seriously until the mention of his did video, which in his mind he already took care of. And then when he asked why they where asking questions to things they already had the answers to he was probably thinking all they where doing was trying to look for some kind of gotcha moment or that the interview was pointless and thus lost all care for it and began acting out. He might've also already had a poor opinion of lio and thus was expecting something like that to happen and thus it became a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts.
yeah I didn't watch long enough for the context but if I left a drama community and someone was getting me into a recorded group chat voicecall to talk about drama community shit I'd pretty rapidly burn out of the conversation. I'm sure they had their reasons but it would feel like "hey now that it's been a decade since highschool wanna talk about this problematic highschool thing and your perspective on it?" I'd just... be done? And I think that's why he's acting up. I'd feel on edge knowing I was being recorded and "this is gonna go into a video isn't it?".

Man I was long time watcher of spoctor and this was just very sad the way he turned out. Everyone I watched basically burned their own bridge and it’s depressing to see. Hopefully they all get help they need to learn from what they did to be better.
I keep coming back to this video, so I feel that really need to get some things off my chest. I looked up to Spoctor, I wanted to be like him. Spoctor along with JAR, MangaKamen, and even Hiten's words in her Fran videos gave me lessons on how my actions can harm others and that I should do well to be mindful of my behavior. Seeing Spoctor basically look Hopeless Peaches in the eyes and say "I've been where you are but I handled it better than you" and "I think you're over reacting to petty behavior" when Peaches had gone through what he had but in a different way genuinely disappointed me. Then there's him tone policing Hiten for being angry at Junkie when she had every right to be angry. He was playing into the perfect victim myth.When Spoctor got mad at Fran for trying to play the victim after she had slandered him, he went on to regret it. In the call with Lio and Peaches, I think he was trying to make himself stop caring about what happens in the commentary community, but he clearly does care. I think Spoctor needs to be away fom the internet for a while. He needs to get therapy because clearly what happened to him in the Stay Away From Spoctor Theory Drama hurt him more than he shows. The fact that he said he deserved to be "humbled" by that event says a lot. Do I think he should apologize? Yes. There are people he genuinely hurt with his mistakes and actions, they deserve an apology from him. Although it would be better if he did this in private. If he wants to apologize to the commentary community, then he should do it while he is mentally well and after he has reflected everything. But then again, it would be better that he apologized directly to people he hurt in private. So, all in all, Spoctor if you're reading this I hope you're doing well and you are working on improving yourself. Edit: Nevermind, turns out Spoctor is a much worse person behind the scenes and he literally owned p0rn of a minor past the age of 18. Really awful.
Finished the video (in one sitting too). It was pretty informative and man... I didn't know what was happening to Hiten until now so I feel bad that I didn't know about this side of the drama until now. Also really like the new mic.
One of the things that people like Spoctor need to remember is that criticisms you make will come back to you. Spoctor criticized Peaches for being too emotional when she was being slandered by several big name youtubers. If he hadn't made that criticism, people could have been more forgiving to his little blowout. But because he got on Peaches case for not being able to regulate overwhelming emotions, people feel little to no sorrow for him when he goes off on people who are trying to help him out of a bad situation he put himself in.
I've followed alot of the drama and everything that went down ever since. Its sad to see how it went from a community I used to watch all the time to just, twilight zone. I hope everyone can find what they need in life and find a better a path than the one that changed this whole community the way that it had.

Christ the Spoctor/Peaches call made me cringe so hard. 😭 You know for a fact he just turned his mic volume up all the way to avoid the Lin-Lin question. So much second hand embarrassment in that last part of the call.
Full disclosure, imma go full arm chair psychologist in this comment. I think spoctor really needs to workout his issues with what happened to him in the stories situation. When ever he talked about it in his videos, it felt like he blamed himself for what happened to him, like if he wasn't such an asshole no one would have accused him in the first place. Hence why he's so scared to burn bridges and lacks sympathy for peaches. But that's not the case at all for both situations. The biggest crimes both peaches and spoctor committed was being a bit of an asshole and trusting the wrong people, that's it. In both situations, the accusers we're clearly fucking nightmares of people, with stories being a manipulative pathological liar and Shannon being a literal stalker. Both of these people where looking for an easy target, if it wasn't peaches and spoctor it would have been someone else. He really needs to understand that.
btw, this isn't to excuse his actions or behavior. I also wasn't a fan of him and didn't watch alot of his vids so my interpretation could be completely out of wack.

Commentary community should rename itself into drama community, because that's more honest at least. It seems like its impossible to interact with anyone in that community and not be tied to risks of having tomatos thrown at you at any moment. Or everyone there is a legitimate sociopath. Either way, leaving it is literally the best thing you can do. I genuinely don't care what has Spoctor done, I only commend him for moving on.

i literally gotten a JAR jumpscare because i initially thought it was a kamen video because i recognize the thumbnail almost immediately, then the audible "oh." when i looked at the channel name anyways the mic sounds good edit: watched the entire video in full again because i just didn't believe what i was hearing from shock, and holy hell. what the hell. i am GOBSMACKED by the call with him, lio and peaches as it really just showed how self-centered he became with his, honestly, shocking approach to them. anyways, didn't feel like making another comment so just leaving it here. i am still in the middle of trying to fully process it.
When it comes to those with mental issues, they gotta be treated like patients ya know? Gotta take the issue serious, but obviously there is a point where enough is enough. Problems invite problems as they say. As someone who suffers a very similar thing, I can empathize with people who have mental issues, but I also understand that there comes a point where it WILL get viewed as a crutch or an excuse.

You don't know the pain of mental illness until you've seen how much it can ruin your life just because either someone doesn't believe you have it therefore you're just a scumbag weirdo in their eyes, or they do understand and believe but aren't patient enough to handle it. I personally have grown out of this problem for the most part but it's still very much there. And I do not blame the latter for later hating me after trying to be patient. New mic is good, JAR. Honestly, if it weren’t for Lin Lin’s video on the Tobi situation, I wouldn’t be able to see that Kai and Omnia were just as in the wrong. Everyone had their faults in that problem. And it was like walking on eggshells when it came to Kai and Omnia, because they can twist a minor critique into the person bullying a small artist or call them racist (I don’t know if Omnia does it as much as Kai, but Kai pulled the race card a lot). After seeing the video, I actually didn’t realize how hard Peaches got screwed over, with people siding with Shannon and Camilla. Ironic how Shannon and Camilla showed their true colors later on to show how horrible they are. I do hope Peaches is doing okay. And after hearing the call between him, Lio, and Peaches, I just think he’s childish. How he handled it was childish. I wouldn’t consider him an irredeemable a-hole either.

Lyo, once again, showing the commentary community that he's the only god damn adult. The way he spoke to spoctor was literally how a teacher acts towards an unruly child. He's asking the right questions, and Spoctor is so paranoid about saying anything, he just goes full assh*ole mode. I get that now the big tirfecta of dramas and the aftermath is pretty much over, people are scrutinizing these dramas again. And it's become more and more apparent how badly everyone screwed up during these dramas. But no one wants to take accountability for their mistakes and poor judgment. Instead, everyone is just being vindictive...
The point Jar made about Spoctor becoming paranoid, damn it's surprising that's an argument that mot only applicable to Spoctor, but Seththeprogrammer as well. Because his main problem when it comes to his assholish behavior is based on how paranoid he is on anyone potentially backstabbing him, but by doing that it made all the people affiliated with him and all the good graces he had down the drain. I was part of the crowd of people who wanted Seth to be mostly innocent, if the only thing he was guilty of was simply just that one time of harrassment, then I would've shrugged it off and forgot about, especially if he said he will stop escalating situation like that. (I'm only still subscribed to him just to keep note how many subs he's loosing everyday.)

ive followed spoctor since 2018. hes been one of my favourite ranter/commentary youtubers for so long, i think ive watched at least 80 hours of content of his, but with these videos about him, things upsettingly add up. at times thered be big situations but id ignore every video about it and wait for spoctor's, thats how he came off to his audience, im sure im not the only person who feels this way. seeing other parts of a story when in the past i only listened to the ones i favor is an eye opening expierence.
I was more so caught up with everything besides the call that was at the end and it's like the rigid parts of Spoctor's character were put on full display because he had nothing to lose. Guess he went back to being an arrogant prick when he realised he could do so via chuckling, blitzing Peaches & Lio's ears or just being completely flippant as a result and as a whole this'll reflect poorly upon his legacy. To be honest though, it sounds like he doesn't care with this being shown through his lack of responsibility in the call where they likely would have wanted to go over Spoctor's Hopeless Peaches video at the least. He just disregarded them for no good reason. (Though I must add, why are you in a kitchen? You're a robot so unless you're cooking up some oil stew I don't foresee you putting it to much use.)

Watching JARs videos is like watching an anime he’s the main protagonist and in one season Doodletones is the bad guy (no offense Doodletones) in a group of baddies then few seasons later she’s becomes good helps him out defeating the traitors and defending the innocence people heck I wish it was I watch it.
Ending thoughts were genius I feel like it would definetly open his eyes. Though I still feel like Spoctor was still more hurt by the backlash of the DID video because the response videos against him made ME feel on edge and hopeless like I did something absolutely terrible and I'M not even Spoctor. Like I was actively feeling second-hand embarrassment and sorry for the dude cuz it really seemed like it was a genuine mistake on his part. Like I could tell he worked hard on it thinking it was a good video. I would be crushed if a video I worked hard on and tried to making it as understandable in a way that clicks turns out to be a video that was said to hurt others instead and it not even being about drama between channels. The way he avoided the topic on his response video reminds me of how I dealt with realising I fail so miserably (Which is by tackling what I think I can do easily right and just mention the things I do wrong very briefly avoiding my biggest most embarrasing fuck-ups with a 10-foot pole dismissing the smaller shit I do wrong by lumping it all into a toxic pile that I shouldn't pay much attention too).
I almost can’t put into words how sad it makes me to see the current state of Spoctor. To this day, I still listen to his “Badly Done Videos” videos for background noise while I study or game. I personally am still choosing to do so because I want to believe that they were made when he was in a better state. It’s always hard to see one of your favorites fall from grace, but…what can you do, really? *sigh*
Rewatching this after hearing the Lio and Peaches call with Rosa. Spoctor was an asshole in the call, but at least he didn't give death threats, saying slurs to an autistics. Lio has apologize, but it's really hard for me to take it since it was recently leak after a year. He did not address this at all before. He know rosa is autistic, he said the goal was to give the victim closure, he is the oldest and should be the wisest, but he bring 60 peoples in the call, threatened Rosa, allowed people to dogpile on her, pushed her to give her mother contacts and her address infront of 60 people. When watching Rosa call and see how Lio and Peaches treated Rosa, I can't help but remember what Spoctor said in this call: "I've heard alot of terrible things about you guys from other creator and I quite like don't want to deal with your bs" Idk if he meant the Rosa call, the Rosa call was one year ago. If it does, it would be a crazy foreshadowing. Either way, I'm not defending Spoctor, I just want to point out that as I scrolled down the comments judging Spoctor for being childish and annoying in this call, I think the other side was not that better themselves too.

First, can you send me the links of Lio addressing the matter on his other platforms rather than on his server before the call got out? If there are then I admit that was my bad. I have tried to search if he has issued this before. But all I can find is that the Rosa call happened years ago, then it was released on UA-cam 3 months ago and Lio addressed it on UA-cam 13 days ago. Second, I have watched his video and I know that Lio has changed the way he speaker on UA-cam and how he ran the Senate after the call, and I appreciate it. But It still isn't enough to convince me that it was changed for the better due to this reason: In the call, the server was also actively bullying Rosa and dismissing anyone when they brought up the issues. The Senate was also a part of this. They have seen what happened, and some decided to jump on the boat with Lio. One of the reasons why I can hardly forgive Lio IS because he didn't issue this in public for years. He only addresses it on the server from what I've heard. He didn't address it on UA-cam or other social platform that he has for years, so for the Senate and Lio to only know about this, and not mention it elsewhere, it makes them look like they weren't going bring this up for both of their sakes. But now, after years, as the call has been uploaded, and the public was unhappy about it, from then Lio decided to address it. He was not better than Spoctor. He decided to call out Spoctor for being an asshole in the call to the public, but didn't decided to address about his own issues for years. Those were some of the reasons why I hardly can forgive Lio. There are other issues, but I think my comment is too long to mention those more. Like I said, I encourage you to watch Stardust's interview with Lio. His attitudes in that video is also the reason why I think he still doesn't change much.
The sad thing is Spoctor had probably the most publicly storied history then you see the stuff behind the scenes and it’s pretty surprising. In the call he had with peaches and Lio, Spoctor seems to be paranoid and using sarcasm/annoyance to get out of the call. A bad tactic to use if you don’t want to be looked at the behavior to get people interested in how this scalie is falling apart. Guess the community that had people walking on eggshells and throwing knifes into each other’s backs like a game of darts really seems to have made “well adjusted” people who can’t handle the changes brought forth. Ironic the people calling out drama tended to cause it, but got to get the fun bucks somehow even if you have to start drama with your own friends to keep the lights on. In a way Just A Robot Marches on, being the Indiana Jones digging through the mess of the commentary community. No one knows what he will find but thousands will be there with popcorn in hand for the next round of content.

Plus this is a fair couple of people out of the millions of people online. Especially with with Creepshow, that just shows how easy you can just hide things online. I can tell you for sure there are responsible and reasonable people out there, it’s just there are soo many people being toxic and petty, it’s hard to pick out people from the crowd.
And that even depends if every person we pick out is or isn’t as bad as we think. It takes lots to get to know someone enough to reasonably decide if they’re bad or good, but then again not everything’s black and white. We’re just people, and we can’t fault everyone.

I stopped watching Spoctor a while ago. (Long before all this, apparently.) I was randomly thinking about him today and wondered what he has been up to. All I can say is. . .oh.

i've been in voice calls with spoctor back in like 2017 and he used to always make loud noises into the mic to interrupt people cuz he thought it was funny... its crazy to see him still doing that shit lmao

During that chat recording, Spoctor was initially rather calm and collective about the discussion at hand, then suddenly after Peaches just asked, what are his personal thoughts on Lin-lin's video. Two loud and off focus sound from his mic and then he changed moods instantly to passive aggressive behavior and only spoke a few words.
The back and forth between Spoctor and Lyo had, low-key reminded me of the scene where Arthur tells Moray he how awful people are. Especially when he catches on this will be put in a video. Like it had a similar energy to that scene for me. It was lowkey disturbing as well.
(If I didn't know any better, I bet it would've escalated into a shouting match for how Spoctor was becoming too emotionally unstable at that given time.)

It's literally how groomers act (coming from a victim of grooming). It's why people still bother to defend people like Spoctor, because they choose not to see past his little facade he's built up over the years.
For the record: After the first call, Spoctor waited until I went to bed, then came into Senate. He just made excuses in the call with Peaches. The next day, he put out a weak "apology tweet", and Peaches rejected it. Spoctor then spent the entire day crying in the VC of someone's server, trying to act the victim.
Sounds like a regular day in The Senate alright.
I honestly questioned why, in the same sense like Junkie. I know you Lio wouldn't instantly go savage on him for his mistakes. But still keep it stern as you usually would for anyone else that has done the same. Because truth be told, I'm not much older than Spoctor, probably only like two years and I would personally admit to mistakes like that completely. Especially knowing it's not the biggest and worst thing I've done personally, but honestly I know it can't ruin me. But I will feel little sympathy for him that, the people he has been friends with were outed as horrible individuals left and right and loosing them that way will still hurt, even if you had no involvement with their downfall.
By the end of the day, it is his decision if he wants to leave as a well respected guy with several faults/flaws. Or just another pathetic individual who didn't want to take accountability.

Well I think you have to consider that spoc is a human and he has a life outside of this drama. If he's left, it's clear that it's not something he wants to care or hear about. HE LEFT for a reason, it's not 'telling' that he acted petty in a call with people who know him only from his online persona. he's not acting like a child, he's behaving like a bored and sick adult who cares not about internet drama. he's been dealing with this shit longer than I've been in this community, and by the tone of the call, it doesn't sound like he was directly infromed of how this is important. maybe consider the fact that he no longer sees this as his life, but just words and voice lines coming from a screen. The fact that Spock repeatedly used his past drama to gader simpathy during his call out reaaaaaally pissed me off, that is one of the things that annoyed me the most.
I gotta say I feel bad for lio and peaches during the call, but I couldn't help but laugh once I realized spoctor was purposely trying to throw the convo. It was a watching a train wreck moment cause I knew it wasn't going to go down well for him and potentially the other two depending on how they deal with having sincerity met with childushness.

That discord was pretty much the most discord call to ever discord. We had wind, chip bags, booming voices, the entirety. And damn, Spoctor's ego in that call is fucking something. I used to be a fan but now it seems that he was being fucking fake the entire fucking time on his channel since the Stories shit. Holy shit. I wanted to add a HUGE issue I saw in spoctors video on peaches which somehow few over most peoples radars.
He at first tried to come off as empathic saying "I've been where you've been" basically and then said that he handled it better.
Imagine saying to someone "I know your pain but I handled it better".
When I first heard that, I knew something felt off about what Spoctor said but I just didn't think much about it then. But now that you bring it up, it really does seem like he was using his past situation to demean Peaches there. Which is ironic given that Spoctor would take issue with people comparing him to Peaches months later.

Everyone that reaches out for stability in times of crisis deserves help, or at the very least a kind word and links to professional resources. Telling someone to keep quiet about their pain only helps it to grow. Hopefully everyone's learned from their mistakes against other creators by now and won't repeat them, be it from dumbness or a thirst for views.
Holy Hell, the Spoctor call was awkward to listen to. Did he open his window, eat some chips and then lost his mind. The dude sounded like he's trippin.
The way he spoke just reminded me of when I was in therapy and hated my therapist so much that I purposefully blocked and sabotaged all meetings.

when me and birdie were helping out spoctor with the most recent birdie video, he treated us all very, very badly, and barely listened to our stories properly. quite a lot of information in that video wasn’t specifically super accurate. i looked up to him a lot, so it’s upsetting seeing how he treated me and others. i don’t think he’s a necessarily bad guy, but he very much hasn’t treated people the best.
What was he doing? Was he just being obnoxious like the call in the video or other stuff?

Dude, that call between Spoctor, Peaches, and Lio was almost hard to listen to. His attitude, especially towards the end of their call, was just so shocking and sad to see him act this childish.
Also, adding that with Spoctor's attitude, I do feel it might've been influenced by Junkie. Now, this is just a little theory of mine, so take it with a grain of salt, but just the way he's acted and how two faced he's been just to sound holier than thou I just feel it got latched onto from Junkie maybe. From what i rememberd the two were pretty close friends, so maybe his toxic behavior could have latched onto him. Spoctor is in his early 20's now and how he behaved in that call was pretty childish and disgusting. I do not think that Spoctor is a bad or irredeemable person, but he has hurt people. He hurt Hiten by basically looking her in the eyes and saying "You're overreacting to petty behavior" when she had her freaking commentary carreer ruined by Junkie. He never gave a full, true-hearted apology to Hopeless Peaches after he participated in the commentary community's dog piling on her. When the call first started, I was like, “It can’t be that bad!” Oh. OH it was bad. The fact that I looked up to Spoctor for always admitting when he was wrong and being civil about many situations where- well frankly he didn’t need to be. But that call erased everything I thought. The way he acted was childish, and I can’t believe I could ever look up to someone like that.

The tone shift really make me think he was two-faced about the topics he covered and that what he was saying was hollow.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt because like you guys said: forgave him due to almost getting canceled. When the mistakes started to show up and made me think that it was just an accident or a mistake on his part but after that tone shift. Dang I didn’t know there was drama that led him to leave. I just saw the thumbnail to his video of him leaving the commentary community and got sad. I assumed it was just burnout or trying to avoid drama with the cancellation of other commentary UA-camrs. I feel sad because I enjoyed his content. We’ll never know what happens behind the scenes, I can’t have a full opinion on his innocence, but I still don’t think he should be demonized.
Hopefully he gets the help he needs. A shame the last we’ll see of him on the internet is him leaving in shame and everyone hating him even in the tweet where he said he’s getting help.
You’re pretty much the last of this part of the commentary genre that hadn’t been cancelled that I watch. Hopefully things go well for you because this community’s track record has not been kind to the people in it
I highly doubt anything will matter with these people, regardless. Simply put, this whole community is petty as hell.
They’ll yell all of these stupid things, basically being at everyone’s throat.
All of this drama just shows how emotionally unstable this whole community is, the pettiness knows no bounds. Despite some people being rightfully thrown down, and shown their true colors. Everyone will take him leavening as if he’s some coward, but won’t ever realize the fault in this brand new drama.
He gave perfectly sound reasons why he left, that he should’ve just never got involved cuz he and many others can’t be calm and collective. Possibly the only one who does well in this community, is Ponder. Going and diving deep into dramas, to collect every single bit of informations from every party, debunk things, and paint a better picture on how everything is (meanwhile some other people make it vague and really petty)
Weather he’s supposedly egotistical, a hypocrite, or whatever else this community says… he’s right in saying he wasn’t a good fit for this community. His young self should’ve never gotten involved, but we can’t exactly change the past, so he has to deal with everything that’s happened since then.
It’s very clear people, want him to apologize for everything he’s done, but we know they ain’t gonna accept that, no matter how genuine. Which is why he’d rather leave, find new friends (like he’s already been doing) and move on from this petty community.

Tone policing Hiten because she got mad at someone who backstabbed her and hurt her so bad that she almost had to go to the damn ward, 2. Piling on Hopeless Peaches during the Hopeless Peaches Drama, 3. His horrible mental health takes. In my opinion, it doesn't matter if Hiten, Hopeless Peaches, and the wider community doesn't accept his apology, it's the right thing for him to do and if he is going to leave the Commentary Community for good then he should do that at the bare mimimum. Say he's sorry for everything and just leave.

At this point, videos aren’t going to make what he did to her any better so he should handle it privately. He already apologized to Hiten, so he shouldn’t apologize to her twice. However, I do think he should make a video apologizing for the horrible mental health takes, because in his video about leaving the commentary community he only very briefly mentioned the DID video when it hurt a lot of people and spread misinformation. That DOES involve the viewer. Although this is just my opinion, so I could be wrong.
Peaches sounded like she really just wanted to talk things out. I know it sounded pretty interrogative but there's no other way for peaches to have the discussion. To me, it looks like she just wanted clarify Spoctors opnions before bringing up issues she had with his videos. It really sucked see him be a dick to her despite her efforts.

If I can theorize for a second. Because he was acting calm and normal in the beginning of the call I think he was going to take it seriously until the mention of his did video, which in his mind he already took care of. And then when he asked why they where asking questions to things they already had the answers to he was probably thinking all they where doing was trying to look for some kind of gotcha moment or that the interview was pointless and thus lost all care for it and began acting out. He might've also already had a poor opinion of lio and thus was expecting something like that to happen and thus it became a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts.
yeah I didn't watch long enough for the context but if I left a drama community and someone was getting me into a recorded group chat voicecall to talk about drama community shit I'd pretty rapidly burn out of the conversation. I'm sure they had their reasons but it would feel like "hey now that it's been a decade since highschool wanna talk about this problematic highschool thing and your perspective on it?" I'd just... be done? And I think that's why he's acting up. I'd feel on edge knowing I was being recorded and "this is gonna go into a video isn't it?".

Man I was long time watcher of spoctor and this was just very sad the way he turned out. Everyone I watched basically burned their own bridge and it’s depressing to see. Hopefully they all get help they need to learn from what they did to be better.

I keep coming back to this video, so I feel that really need to get some things off my chest. I looked up to Spoctor, I wanted to be like him. Spoctor along with JAR, MangaKamen, and even Hiten's words in her Fran videos gave me lessons on how my actions can harm others and that I should do well to be mindful of my behavior. Seeing Spoctor basically look Hopeless Peaches in the eyes and say "I've been where you are but I handled it better than you" and "I think you're over reacting to petty behavior" when Peaches had gone through what he had but in a different way genuinely disappointed me. Then there's him tone policing Hiten for being angry at Junkie when she had every right to be angry. He was playing into the perfect victim myth.When Spoctor got mad at Fran for trying to play the victim after she had slandered him, he went on to regret it. In the call with Lio and Peaches, I think he was trying to make himself stop caring about what happens in the commentary community, but he clearly does care.
I think Spoctor needs to be away fom the internet for a while. He needs to get therapy because clearly what happened to him in the Stay Away From Spoctor Theory Drama hurt him more than he shows. The fact that he said he deserved to be "humbled" by that event says a lot. Do I think he should apologize? Yes. There are people he genuinely hurt with his mistakes and actions, they deserve an apology from him. Although it would be better if he did this in private. If he wants to apologize to the commentary community, then he should do it while he is mentally well and after he has reflected everything. But then again, it would be better that he apologized directly to people he hurt in private.
So, all in all, Spoctor if you're reading this I hope you're doing well and you are working on improving yourself.

One of the things that people like Spoctor need to remember is that criticisms you make will come back to you. Spoctor criticized Peaches for being too emotional when she was being slandered by several big name youtubers. If he hadn't made that criticism, people could have been more forgiving to his little blowout. But because he got on Peaches case for not being able to regulate overwhelming emotions, people feel little to no sorrow for him when he goes off on people who are trying to help him out of a bad situation he put himself in.
His rattling the bag during the call so he didn't have to talk to them, how old is he? That's something a small child would do.

Christ the Spoctor/Peaches call made me cringe so hard. 😭 You know for a fact he just turned his mic volume up all the way to avoid the Lin-Lin question. So much second hand embarrassment in that last part of the call.

I think spoctor really needs to workout his issues with what happened to him in the stories situation. When ever he talked about it in his videos, it felt like he blamed himself for what happened to him, like if he wasn't such an asshole no one would have accused him in the first place. Hence why he's so scared to burn bridges and lacks sympathy for peaches. But that's not the case at all for both situations. The biggest crimes both peaches and spoctor committed was being a bit of an asshole and trusting the wrong people, that's it. In both situations, the accusers we're clearly fucking nightmares of people, with stories being a manipulative pathological liar and Shannon being a literal stalker. Both of these people where looking for an easy target, if it wasn't peaches and spoctor it would have been someone else. He really needs to understand that.
btw, this isn't to excuse his actions or behavior. I also wasn't a fan of him and didn't watch alot of his vids so my interpretation could be completely out of wack.

How he handled this situation is pretty bad and he would definitely need to address this with a proper apology if he ever planned to come back. Commentary community should rename itself into drama community, because that's more honest at least. It seems like its impossible to interact with anyone in that community and not be tied to risks of having tomatos thrown at you at any moment. Or everyone there is a legitimate sociopath. Either way, leaving it is literally the best thing you can do. I genuinely don't care what has Spoctor done, I only commend him for moving on.

When it comes to those with mental issues, they gotta be treated like patients ya know? Gotta take the issue serious, but obviously there is a point where enough is enough. Problems invite problems as they say. As someone who suffers a very similar thing, I can empathize with people who have mental issues, but I also understand that there comes a point where it WILL get viewed as a crutch or an excuse.

You don't know the pain of mental illness until you've seen how much it can ruin your life just because either someone doesn't believe you have it therefore you're just a scumbag weirdo in their eyes, or they do understand and believe but aren't patient enough to handle it.
I personally have grown out of this problem for the most part but it's still very much there. And I do not blame the latter for later hating me after trying to be patient.

Honestly, if it weren’t for Lin Lin’s video on the Tobi situation, I wouldn’t be able to see that Kai and Omnia were just as in the wrong. Everyone had their faults in that problem. And it was like walking on eggshells when it came to Kai and Omnia, because they can twist a minor critique into the person bullying a small artist or call them racist (I don’t know if Omnia does it as much as Kai, but Kai pulled the race card a lot).
After seeing the video, I actually didn’t realize how hard Peaches got screwed over, with people siding with Shannon and Camilla. Ironic how Shannon and Camilla showed their true colors later on to show how horrible they are. I do hope Peaches is doing okay.
And after hearing the call between him, Lio, and Peaches, I just think he’s childish. How he handled it was childish. I wouldn’t consider him an irredeemable a-hole either.

The point Jar made about Spoctor becoming paranoid, damn it's surprising that's an argument that mot only applicable to Spoctor, but Seththeprogrammer as well.
Because his main problem when it comes to his assholish behavior is based on how paranoid he is on anyone potentially backstabbing him, but by doing that it made all the people affiliated with him and all the good graces he had down the drain.
I was part of the crowd of people who wanted Seth to be mostly innocent, if the only thing he was guilty of was simply just that one time of harrassment, then I would've shrugged it off and forgot about, especially if he said he will stop escalating situation like that.
(I'm only still subscribed to him just to keep note how many subs he's loosing everyday.)
The fact Lio and Peaches have to speak to Spoctor like he's an uncaring teenager who doesn't see the validity in other people's feelings over what he's done is so painful. ive followed spoctor since 2018. hes been one of my favourite ranter/commentary youtubers for so long, i think ive watched at least 80 hours of content of his, but with these videos about him, things upsettingly add up. at times thered be big situations but id ignore every video about it and wait for spoctor's, thats how he came off to his audience, im sure im not the only person who feels this way. seeing other parts of a story when in the past i only listened to the ones i favor is an eye opening expierence.
I was more so caught up with everything besides the call that was at the end and it's like the rigid parts of Spoctor's character were put on full display because he had nothing to lose. Guess he went back to being an arrogant prick when he realised he could do so via chuckling, blitzing Peaches & Lio's ears or just being completely flippant as a result and as a whole this'll reflect poorly upon his legacy. To be honest though, it sounds like he doesn't care with this being shown through his lack of responsibility in the call where they likely would have wanted to go over Spoctor's Hopeless Peaches video at the least. He just disregarded them for no good reason.

Watching JARs videos is like watching an anime he’s the main protagonist and in one season Doodletones is the bad guy (no offense Doodletones) in a group of baddies then few seasons later she’s becomes good helps him out defeating the traitors and defending the innocence people heck I wish it was I watch it.
I think of myself as the little nuisance that's around for like... one arc, then I disappear for a bit before returning seasons later. XD

Ending thoughts were genius I feel like it would definetly open his eyes. Though I still feel like Spoctor was still more hurt by the backlash of the DID video because the response videos against him made ME feel on edge and hopeless like I did something absolutely terrible and I'M not even Spoctor. Like I was actively feeling second-hand embarrassment and sorry for the dude cuz it really seemed like it was a genuine mistake on his part. Like I could tell he worked hard on it thinking it was a good video. I would be crushed if a video I worked hard on and tried to making it as understandable in a way that clicks turns out to be a video that was said to hurt others instead and it not even being about drama between channels. The way he avoided the topic on his response video reminds me of how I dealt with realising I fail so miserably (Which is by tackling what I think I can do easily right and just mention the things I do wrong very briefly avoiding my biggest most embarrasing fuck-ups with a 10-foot pole dismissing the smaller shit I do wrong by lumping it all into a toxic pile that I shouldn't pay much attention too).
I almost can’t put into words how sad it makes me to see the current state of Spoctor. To this day, I still listen to his “Badly Done Videos” videos for background noise while I study or game. I personally am still choosing to do so because I want to believe that they were made when he was in a better state. It’s always hard to see one of your favorites fall from grace, but…what can you do, really? *sigh*
Rewatching this after hearing the Lio and Peaches call with Rosa. Spoctor was an asshole in the call, but at least he didn't give death threats, saying slurs to an autistics. Lio has apologize, but it's really hard for me to take it since it was recently leak after a year. He did not address this at all before. He know rosa is autistic, he said the goal was to give the victim closure, he is the oldest and should be the wisest, but he bring 60 peoples in the call, threatened Rosa, allowed people to dogpile on her, pushed her to give her mother contacts and her address infront of 60 people.
When watching Rosa call and see how Lio and Peaches treated Rosa, I can't help but remember what Spoctor said in this call: "I've heard alot of terrible things about you guys from other creator and I quite like don't want to deal with your bs"
Idk if he meant the Rosa call, the Rosa call was one year ago. If it does, it would be a crazy foreshadowing. Either way, I'm not defending Spoctor, I just want to point out that as I scrolled down the comments judging Spoctor for being childish and annoying in this call, I think the other side was not that better themselves too.

First, can you send me the links of Lio addressing the matter on his other platforms rather than on his server before the call got out? If there are then I admit that was my bad. I have tried to search if he has issued this before. But all I can find is that the Rosa call happened years ago, then it was released on UA-cam 3 months ago and Lio addressed it on UA-cam 13 days ago.
Second, I have watched his video and I know that Lio has changed the way he speaker on UA-cam and how he ran the Senate after the call, and I appreciate it. But It still isn't enough to convince me that it was changed for the better due to this reason:
In the call, the server was also actively bullying Rosa and dismissing anyone when they brought up the issues. The Senate was also a part of this. They have seen what happened, and some decided to jump on the boat with Lio.
One of the reasons why I can hardly forgive Lio IS because he didn't issue this in public for years. He only addresses it on the server from what I've heard.
He didn't address it on UA-cam or other social platform that he has for years, so for the Senate and Lio to only know about this, and not mention it elsewhere, it makes them look like they weren't going bring this up for both of their sakes. But now, after years, as the call has been uploaded, and the public was unhappy about it, from then Lio decided to address it. He was not better than Spoctor. He decided to call out Spoctor for being an asshole in the call to the public, but didn't decided to address about his own issues for years.
Those were some of the reasons why I hardly can forgive Lio. There are other issues, but I think my comment is too long to mention those more. Like I said, I encourage you to watch Stardust's interview with Lio. His attitudes in that video is also the reason why I think he still doesn't change much.
The sad thing is Spoctor had probably the most publicly storied history then you see the stuff behind the scenes and it’s pretty surprising. In the call he had with peaches and Lio, Spoctor seems to be paranoid and using sarcasm/annoyance to get out of the call. A bad tactic to use if you don’t want to be looked at the behavior to get people interested in how this scalie is falling apart.
Guess the community that had people walking on eggshells and throwing knifes into each other’s backs like a game of darts really seems to have made “well adjusted” people who can’t handle the changes brought forth. Ironic the people calling out drama tended to cause it, but got to get the fun bucks somehow even if you have to start drama with your own friends to keep the lights on.
In a way Just A Robot Marches on, being the Indiana Jones digging through the mess of the commentary community. No one knows what he will find but thousands will be there with popcorn in hand for the next round of content.
Bro hearing the call was… insanity. The fact that he completely blew up like a damn child who can’t take responsibility, being so passive aggressive, and genuinely immature after a simple question??? this is who Spector really is and has been for YEARS… it really is incredibly mind boggling. I fucking hate this dude. Giving this much of a shit about a 16 year old criticizing him and then going “I don’t care I don’t want to hear your bullshit” and then when asked what bullshit saying “I don’t wanna talk about it” and then awkward silence… yikes… as always, thank you, Robot.
Hopfully we can consider this a end of an era for DA people who got caught up in all of these people's nonsense and can eventually heal now that all of this(not just the spoctorthing) coming to light.

He’s giving Peaches attitude yet he dragged her name through the mud! She has every right to be mad at him and he himself should know what that’s like, I genuinely hope he learns and grows from this

I wanted to day this quick, you are cared for, i am a real outsider from this community, literally dropping from it years ago (always felt creepshowart was extremely petty on topics.) And from the get go, i knew something was weird about the whole ciecustances. You're really brave and powerful, you went to the Gulag and came stronger and better that, well, everybody involved!
