As for the emotion: The main part of the track is most likely arpeggiated chords on his Roland Juno 60, the keyboard/ piano improvisation is ok, but apart from him looking very engaged, I cannot hear emotion in the way he plays. In the opposite, it is a bit mechanical to me.

Wow, compare this to the version that came out on Tripping with Nils Frahm! Four+ years of playing this in concert and he's really mastered what he wanted to achieve with it.
Soweit ich weiß, er erzeugt alle Sounds Live bzw. die Synthesizer werden automatisiert / ge-sequenced durch Arpeggiators oder durch vorprogrammierte MIDI Noten-Sequenzen. Er steuert dann die Klang-Eigenschaften auf den Synthesizern live (z.B. Filter, Distortion usw.). Es sind also keine vorab aufgenommene Backing Tracks wo man einfach „Play“ druckt und auf dem Klavier dazu Improvisiert, soweit ich das verstehe :) EDIT: z.B. das Synth am Ende ab ca 6:20 oder so wird live gespielt über ein Arpeggiator (vermutlich über mehrere Oktaven) der zum Tempo synchronisiert ist und er gibt einfach Akkorde / einzelne Noten ein über die Tasten und dadurch wird das rhythmische Effekt erreicht.

Adrian is absolutely right. I am classically trained but also did lots of electronic music over the past decades. Everything where it belongs. The problem is not the music and that there are people who love this kind of performances. I like it too, sometimes. The problem is all about the "claim" of the music and the artist to be sophisticated music and wants to be ranked with classical artists or count themselves to "new classical" and play in opera houses... no I´m sorry you are not ! And please don´t try to give yourself the painting of being something more serious than any other inconsequential entertain-music because you ARE NOT!
