25:58 when she says "I'll tell you guys I really love the new record" and it cuts to the group shot of them all, it almost looks like the dog is in the band 😂 and she's so over getting interviewed
Good musicians ought to interview peers more often. They just bring so much more... the questions are an art worthy of the art being explored. Mutual respect fosters more fun too.
I remember Stone saying in an interview that when you meet someone with the kind of creative energy Ed has you just have to go with it , like how could you not go with it. I think it was Stone that also said that he thought Ed could do anything musically, like go solo or whatever but the fact that Ed still chose their band as the creative outlet for his music was great and the others appreciated that. Personally I think they all are necessary for the band to function and if any of them left it would not be the same. Any group of people need a leader though to get stuff done and some people just naturally take that role.
asking myself why the dog ends up pointed toward carrie rather than band. maybe it's less psychic stress to have one pair of eyes looking at you than three or four? or maybe the dog feels like part of pj so hes looking toward her with the band lol or maybe protecting his face from pj's feet appreciated her questions about their perceptions of the audience while onstage wish theyd taken that further
Well it's like Stone said in the the PJ 20 doc...."You can't fight that when someone has that much creative drive in them." Obviously talking about Ed. I mean. I love Stones voice alot and his songs. He basically wrote 10 and most of vs, well the riffs anyway. He's badass. Eds songs are just next level. He likes punk rock and of course Fugazi(my fav band.) I believe they've done well and I'm proud to say I've been a fan since I was 10........lol.
@@chadwickwright2833 Right; it's subjective preference. I gather when you find a singer like that, you gotta defer. I'm guessing we'd both still go see them endless times. But - those first two albums; I can't imagine a five album collection of those riffs, like you say. Although hard to say? Maybe he'd hit a wall?
Stone's fashion choices are the best topic for any PJ band interview
Stone’s comment about Bowie's stinky breath segue into the discussion with Carrie about how to pronounce “milk” cracks me up every time!
What a great interviewer Carrie is. So good.
I cant stop staring at the dog
lol
She is not with us anymore 😭

Love them, love the hear them... and the dog asleep with the cone and diferent position every time the camera opens up!?! LOL priceless!!
I am so happy all of these interviews are now up...full length... awesome!!
Me too, however i would like to watch an unedited version.
Just found this. Brought back a lot of great memories of the 90's. Gooooood times.

Couldn't agree more! I think with a peer they are more willing to open up to the interviewer they can trust them. You can tell they are all friends!
On Gene Simmons:
Carrie:You guys have met him, right? Nice guy?
Jeff: *shrug*
Mike: ehm...
Stone: *Laughter*
Carrie: Godfather of any of your kids?
Sorry, just had to say it. I looove Carrie's all black dress up.
Stone Gossard is a beautiful man
anyone know why there's no clip of Carrie interviewing Ed by himself like the other 3 interviewers did?
i laughed so hard when she brought up stone's flip flop stage
does anyone else notice how stone's dog is just laid out?
Carrie: Gene Simmons, nice guy?
PJ: ......
LOL
That was rather funny.
Wow, 17:56 Jeff name checks Danny Thompson (Pentangle, Richard Thompson, also) - way cool
Great job Carrie. One of the best interviews I’ve seen of a band
I so love Matt
It's not just milk and melk, on the east coast we pronounce tour as tore and the North westerners say it as too-er.
I love Carrie Brownstein :)
They talk about Eddie like he is the boss of the band. Like his decisions matter more than theirs. Strange
It's called being a leader. Do you understand what that means?
People who believe as you say tend to be shitheads.
Strange.
His job is to create a melody with lyrics. Being in a band is trusting that the direction of your singer sounds best for the band.

Carrie is AWESOME..she seems so incredibly down-to-Earth. Got a Fantastic body as well.
My father pronounces milk as melk or malk, but he lived most of his life in Virginia. Weird that Stone Gossard does, or did during this interview.
9:45 So I remember something about an old VW bus with heating that was so crappy the windshield couldn't keep clear :D
Very cool!

why was stone not speaking to matt during the dress sandal phase? hmm inquiring minds want to know!
Wonder what their discography would've been like if writing stayed with Stone.

He’s still credited as writing a lot of the music on all the albums.
Mike mccreedy is a bad ass! Don't let him downplay nothing!
awesome interview. monty python did a professional hide n seek skit long before portlandia though ;)
Always would say Melk growing up. Got made fun of for it so much i changed to saying Milk.
This is a real life Portlandia episode "lots riffs on this record" "this is a stone lead"
OMG Stone was wearing BURBERRY aaaHAHAHAHAHAA
Birdman, make me piss myself with laughter. The whole show is a gem.
Very first question... what took so long to make this record? Oh, just wait for the next one!
Could you guys to add the english subtitles? Or where could I get it, please, please...
they should have designer cones for dogs. One that looks like an amp speaker would be cool.
Eddie: *not there*
*there is one imposter among us*
10:14 Stone says: Paul... what? from what band?
paul solger from ten minute warning
Please give the dog more pets
Best part: 27:20. Woof
MEELK
Love me some melk.
Where is Eddie???
he's actually inside the couch. He had it built around him. He love's supporting his band mates whenever possible.
He’s above all this in his mind
Dylan Muir no they sewed him in like Danny Devito in that episode of Its Always Sunny.
The dog is more entertaining than Vedder
Matt's fingers seem to be moving, like he has a beat he needs to play.
#PJACFOOFATOGETHER
On a world tour. 🤘🏻😎🇧🇷
Carrie is incredibly hot and has the perfect ASMR voice! These guys are beyond Legend Status.... Incredibly humble after all they've accomplished!
light dog !!
where's the singer ? kurt or something ..

Mmmm...my wife
I would die for that dog. The way he looks at the camera, he's a natural
