I love these interviews. They seem so comfortable and relaxed in the conversation. The fact that the interviewers are not journalists makes it even better as they relate to the band's music in a personal way, as a fan would.
I love these interviews, especially because the interviewer is someone Pearl Jam trust, most professional interviewer are not trusted, so I thought it was a brilliant idea. Thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
Wow. Such a good interview. So good to hear a band that are still fired up for what they do and probably more importantly, comfortable with each other and willing to give praise to each other. Amazing. Thanks PJ x
was so wonderful to watch this... thanx for sharing!! great to see the guys all have their say... and just when you think Ed's voice cant get any lower, it does {it was subterranean at some points...} :-)
Mark Richards was my hero I looked up to when I started surfing a long time ago. I still do from that time. His performance on twin fin boards was/is great. I went from my first single to twins for years and from my board sliding along the lip at higher speed cutbacks that many liked seeing but was not my goal I switched to quads that ride like a twin with more traction carving at faster speed. I never met him but thank him for his surfing.
Your children are so lucky to have you. I fully acept, embrace, the long pauses between records and the small amount of shows available knowing that you are doing this because you care for your children. I never got to see you live and I really hope I can still see you (Lisbon - but not on a festival please - so sick of festivals).
Interesting to hear Mike talk about No Code. He wrote the music to the best song on the album imo, Present Tense. It's hard for me to pick one Pearl Jam album that I love above all others. The first 5 albums from Ten to Yield are the albums I listen to the most.
I got to meet MR on a surf trip to Oz in 2017. Spent about an hour just chatting about pearl jam whist on the headland looking out at the waves. Such a top bloke
I snaked him at Sunset in 83 on huge peak at west bowl, he ate my spray but managed to pull inder the lip and we got s double barrel through the inside bowl. When we got spit out he was in front of me and did a huge wrap around cutty so I bashed the lip and then on his rebound off the white wash I came down and we high fived into the channel. I’ll never forget it, Top bloke for sure.
16:24 Maybe theres anothter No Code in us..... Well Gigaton is probably the closest thing to that, probably closer to binaural but still alot more unique and dynamic than LB and BS.
14:13 me: my favorite is binaural pearl jam, pearl jam's crew, pearl jam fans, casual pearl jam radio listeners, anyone who has vaguely heard of pearl jam: (ಠ_ಠ)
ed's voice has kinda a disembodied quality, like it doesn't seem like the right voice to come out of that body. it has kinda a deep gravitas that doesn't seem to fit with his physical body or body language lol it's fun how even though the lightning bolt seems to be one of pj's symbols they think critically about it, like ed says 'songs don't just come to you like a lightning bolt'
It's so neat to hear these guys talking. Very different. Course I love Pearl Jam doing ANYTHING!! I hope these men never leave my life. I'm 70 yrs old, for God's sake!! ILL leave THEM 1st.. thats the way God planned it,....
Lobbying has always been a thing. Not saying it’s right. My mind big corporate is to blame more than anything. Left or right, republican or democrat doesn’t matter. Right is right wrong is wrong. I’m a moderate I lean a little more to the right, but there are things I disagree with both sides. I think that socialized medicine should be a thing. We already pay high taxes. Let’s pull from corporate. The idea that they will shut down or move the businesses over seas is stupid. They won’t shut down and news fucking flash they already outsource to China. We have to trade with China, unless we want war. I know they say war in 2027 how can you even predict that. Anyways, ya people like Eddie need to exist to bring fairness to artists. No they are entertainers and the pressures they have aren’t exactly fare. When you speak out like this it’s to be expected to have a following and they do have power. Just accept it.

"I will always remember being poor and pissed off"...a man true to his roots. That's what makes PJ such a great band for the other 99%.
I would have done the same thing get up and walk out
Eddie's speaking voice is so deep.
It’s hot huh?

I could listen to it for hours 😊
The lighting in this interview is beautiful.

Love every one of these! Thank you so much for sharing the whole interview.
I agree with Stone about "My Father's Son." It's exciting and energetic, but really well put together as is most Pearl Jam.
As had been said. Thanks for uploading. They are such lucid people. Really admire those guys.
I so love to listen to this!!!!! Wish I could hear more....
Eddie...great T-Shirt, awesome interview, love you guys!

He'd be an amazing professor. He seems tall for a surfer. I don't know.
+Joan Reeves MR is a surfing legend and you're right. It's amazing that the guy became a 4 time world champion.
Eddie's lips look burned... Maybe he's been hitting the waves.
