Put the ruler on the deck and not the top of the gunnel.
I’m trying to get someone who does foam type decking to get me one of the decking material in a 36” ruler to stick on the deck.
If you fish snapper at night with Harold Arve you don’t measure. You keep all. Trail the smaller ones in a sack behind the boat
Not our thing. We like to maintain a healthy fishery, not rape, pillage, and plunder the ocean.

I am with you about the McDs rant. I remember when a simple cheeseburger was around 50 cents, when it was increased to a dollar I already thought that was a bit much.

Where are you seeing the speedos? Would love to load up on some of them and freeze them for spring and summer bottom fishing.
If you want easy fishing in the Keys look up Harold Arve. Insurance salesman in Homestead that inherited a home on a channel in Key Largo. Dude is the best cheat ever! Drops desks and shopping carts for easy catch on the lobster run. Has bait traps along slow troll runs. Call him Hal. Looks like a 6’2” fat penguin.

Even though they were small fish, you still caught fish so that makes a good day, and when you do it with old friends it makes it a better day.

Depends on what your target species is. Sometimes the Muttons want cut bait, other times live bait. The Hogfish like shrimp or small crabs.

Brought small and medium sabikis last trip down in March and absolutely wore out the ballyhoo behind the chum bag, 40 ft behind the boat. Spin tackle with minimal weight as required. And choose sabiki size to the ballys. Great video, tight lines. 👌
Yes, we have tried that and done well until they get the sabiki all tangled up. How do you stop that from happening?

Dan Dan Dan Dan, during summer I was Athens Alabama and decided I had been working my @$$ off and wanted a single cheese with pickle and mustard and a chocolate shake.
Twelve and a half bucks. When I got to the window, I asked her to repeat the order, NO STINKING JOKE a single cheese burger was $7.50 I told here I would pay it because I ordered it, Handed her a 20 and she said I would have to wait while her manager brought her a new cashdrawer. I just rolled on out....
