Keep the boat and find a balance between land and sea.
I have truly missed the boat videos. I started watching you for that reason it would be nice to see more boat videos and sailing. Even day trip weekend trips would be nice.
Agreed! Love your channel but if I’m being honest, I too started watching for the sailing. Unfortunately I might only watch your channel 10% of what I use to.
Yes agreed also. The sailing, repairs by Matt and don't forget Kristen's bikini wardrobe.
@@SailingDreamMaker.very good reason to tune in 😍
SAILING, Good, Bad, and Ugly! The name of the channel says it all. Going with you weekly from island to island, resort to resort was an adventure most of us can not enjoy. You two opened that door and shared your hearts with all of us. My vote is to keep sailing! But I can also respect that you have other dreams to enjoy and accomplish. As you get older, you will see things drift through your fingers. Grab what you can when you can, it is all about living life. The boat was more of an adventure for all of us, but life is up to the two of you. In any case, thank you!
Good to see you back where you belong.❤
YES Sail to the Wedding! 🎉❤
Keep the boat.Nothing is getting cheaper. Lil Matt or Krys will enjoy the family hobby one day.
Have it all!
I know you all are happy on the farm but I will have to say it’s nice to see you guys on the D D again ❤🎉
Always great to see Kristen rocking her bikinis, and Matt getting it done on the water!!
It's good to have a place to come and stay but it's nice to be free
I strongly agree that I like your channel much better when you are sailing rather than on land in Puerto Rico. Do what is best for you both, but certainly enjoy the sailing better! 😀
It’s GREAT to see you guys back on the boat/ water . Please incorporate the boat into your videos !!
I miss you guys on the boat
Keep the boat. Gotta have fun.
I would love to see you sailing again.
So here is a reality check for you both to think on......those of us who live in the "traditional" world, work from Monday to Friday. We get everything prepped Friday morning to spend the weekend on the boat and head to the boat Friday after work. This is our normal late spring, summer, early fall routine. You don't need to focus on ALL OR NOTHING. Sailing an hour around the island is still a beautiful trip the 1st or fortieth time. That boat is an easy way to get a nice break/change for a day or 4. Even when the Mattie Jr's. start showing up. Baby's are super flexible, it's parents who become nervous ninnies. The house/ranch will become the thing you want a break from in the not too distant future. Keep the boat. Use it a little now so you can use it alot later.
Exactly, I couldn't say it better.
Perfect!
Keep the boat and enjoy it. Everything in balance.
Just dropped anchor next to your boat. Instantly recognized it. Always enjoyed the videos. Best of luck on your new adventures
Miss the boat adventures!
Keep it and continue with your sailing channel!
Yes!!!!! Back to the boat!!!!!
Seeing you two back on the sailboat made my night. 🙏😊💕 I am so very sorry about the kittens
Hold on to the boat/investment! Littel JR will love it!
If you guys want to keep this channel going you should consider doing more boat videos. Don't forget your roots.
YEAH BABY!!! THATS THE BETTER LIFE!! AWESOME MOVE GUYS❤
You guys should do a haul out at a place you can afford to store it for awhile. That way your not rushing into making a decision you might regret later. Then after you’ve got yourself established on land, decide if you still want to fit sailing into your new lifestyle.
1+
I Agree BUT ! Then other expenses and things happen when it’s dry docked. Wind, sand systems are in use and that creates problems $$$. You already PAID Your Dues Now ENJOY IT ❤I have by boat since it was new this January it is 35 years old and I ❤️ it. So KEEP it make it a Special Occasion to use it, as you said you need to always do something’s when you aren’t there daily. So every three weeks Take a week on Your First Dream And Enjoy yourself. And of course make a video $$ so all of us get to see you guys enjoying yourself 😎Then when you have your baby! You can have a family while sailing 😊with them . That’s what I did after we had our third and last child ❤️but I had a small Cabin Cruiser and kept it in the water at a marina on Lake Erie in Ohio. All summer we went on Friday am, sleeped on board ate on the dock area. It was inside the biggest harbor on the southwest shoreline.God Bless you Both ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏 NC USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@richardrumplik7023 exactly, selling the boat would be a huge mistake! You'll never get back what you put into it! Plus, you need something to get away for a while with, the problem with dry docking is everything immediately starts to deteriorate and things get stolen! Boats are ment to be in the water!
@@theogdirkdiggler 👍
Keep the boat --- do both land videos and sea videos
Yes, back in the boat! You both are great!!!
just follow your hearts, if it’s in the boat or if it’s the property. where ever you’ll just be the happiest
Boat owners use their boats one day out of the week as everyone works for a living.. You chose to use your boat in that manner and thats the only way you think of using it but thats just you..
You could still choose to go on boat trips once or twice a year if you like but nearly every boat owner uses the boat once or twice a week maybe to catch a fish for dinner
Doing a raised or container garden is the easiest, most efficient and effective way to grow stuff and there is a ton of good info on UA-cam! As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
The best 12 yeas of my life was living aboard my Hunter 34 and sailing the Great Lakes. Marriage and blending a family changed that but I have no regrets. I will say my life was much simpler then but now I have a four car garage that I can barely walk in and a 2000 sq ft home that requires way too much maintenance. Your sailing adventures intrigued me and captivated my sailing senses. I wish you luck in moving ashore . What will happen to you I suspect is what happened with me. I kept the boat for a few years when I moved ashore and found myself hardly using it because my new life ashore kept me busy. I already hear it in your comments about the animals and having to tend to them. I put my boat up for sail after three years. It was getting dirty, unused and just not the same. Boats are a lot of work. But fun work. Houses not so much.
Pooba
I remember part of a poem that went something like this:
"Houses are badly built boats so firmly aground that you cannot think of moving them. They are definitely inferior things, belonging to the vegetable not the animal world, rooted and stationary, incapable of gay transition. . . . The desire to build a house is the tired wish of a man content thenceforward with a single anchorage. The desire to build a boat is the desire of youth, unwilling yet to accept the idea of a final resting-place."
-Arthur Ransome
You will never find another with that awesome transom swim step thing Matt made 👍
Having said that…we watch the channel cuz of you guys. You are the stars!!
I’m a single farmer in Oklahoma raised in California. I am in the process of selling everything and buying a boat. I’ll buy your boat and you can sail it anytime while I watch your garden and animals!! I’m 60 years old and love PR and the Caribbean for food scuba ocean gelato scenery and most of all the people! Been all over on land and scuba. Let’s talk!! One Love!!
Sounds like a perfect solution
I love your sailing channel i like your homestead channel
I'm loving you guys back on the boat. I miss these episodes x
I have to admit that I was a weekly viewer for all of your sailing adventures, when you guys did the boat overhaul work I was so excited to see where you might end up next. But when you decided to become land lubbers it really took the magic of this channel out of it for me. I was convinced that you both would get many years more of enjoyment from the boat after all of that hard work. In the end though we all love you both and want you to go after whatever it is that makes you happy. I'm still scratching my head though, why do the work to just leave the boat to float & rot?
I agree 100. I watched all the videos from the beginning. Enjoyed Matts humor and Kristen's obvious love for him and the life they created from basically nothing. I watched all the rebuild thinking they should have sold it and gone to a catamaran. The anticipation of following the sailing adventure further after the rebuild was always anticipated to be soon soon soon...then land purchase. I have not watched many, but some of the homestead. I like both of them, but I am not interested in the building a channel now around a homestead type channel...No thanks. I will check-in every-so-often. Animals are game stoppers on traveling the world and enjoying a little freedom. Goats and cats and farm animals...No thanks.
@@RVEnthusiast Kind of teaches us all a lesson that people are fluid in this world. Some folks make one thing their life and others like to dip their toes in and out of various interests. I adore the two of them, little bit personal but they kept my head above water with their love when I was dealing with my wife's affair during 2022. They showed me that real, adventurous love does in fact exist and guys like Matt can score so far out of his league! (lol)
Oh Man! No disrespect intended at all. Agree Matt is a very lucky guy. His humor is also infectious. I watched them for so long and I am truely happy for them. I watch lots of sailing channels because it intrigues me. Not in the cards for me however, but GBU was one of my top 5 sailing channels because, Matt and Kristen made it so fun.@@phillyflyguy3590
A pelican may not be to us the prettiest of birds but it is not dirty as the spend so much of their time diving into the water..
The boat looks awesome and just so you know most boat owners do day use of their boats on a week or two basis
Exactly thats how nearly everyone uses their boats you guys just envision that way of using your boat.. Now you could still do that on a yearly basis, but Everyone works for a living and therefore give the boats weekly or so daily use
I am also glad that you have shown us the boat is still floating. And i miss you guys being on it.
Let's GO SAILING!
"paying your dues this side of the ethereal plain"....precious..
Keep the best of the two worlds you live in. Both are exciting.
Your boat is a marriage adventure made in heaven. Keep the boat. You two could get jobs in the filming industry
The boat is your home. The property is your home. You have two homes. 🎉🎉🎉
Started watching your channel years ago for the boating adventures, whatever they might have been. My wife and I looked forward to your videos every week. You both added so much enjoyment to our weekends and we miss the boating videos. Although we're not enjoying the 'farm' adventures as much as the boating, we have continued to watch. Remember, always do what is best for you two.
I’m 73, and looking back, all roads have destinations, you have to decide what your destination is. It’s sounded to me like you’re ready to “settle” for a while, and that’s great! However, listening to your plans, ANYTHING you do with or on the boat is going to get in the way of those plans. I would find the lowest cost place to put it on the hard until you get your house built, THEN, in that time, the UNIVERSE will lead you to the right road to be on. Life is in the journey! Luvya!
Keep the boat! Use it for short day sails and week long adventures.
I’m happy y’all are back on the boat. ❤
I like Larry back in his element 😊
I think you mean, Matt
@@alan71033’larry lamainardo’😂
Keep the boat and make time for it. Absolutely! Fewer animals. If you put in the time to re-home cats you will make new friends along the way. Always good to meet new people.
The farm is BORING, I stopped watching your channel…it is SAILING GBU not this old house
@@alcw625It's a new chapter in there lives. I'm still watching and enjoying there channel. It's just different than before.
@@thinkforyourselfjohn3167 I agree. Same.
I like the sailing, that is what got me watching your chnl. BUT I like your great little farm because it reminds me of what I did 30 years ago. So I’m good either way. I go with almost everyone. Keep the boat. Maybe try to lease it to someone you know well enough to tryst with it. If nothing else, use the lease money to make sure all upkeep is done on the boat. You could limit the distance the lessor could travel without specific permission. That way, the boat gets exercised and taken care of and you can either pocket the lease money, or again use it as part of upkeep to make sure it is done. Either way you keep the boat with no out if pocket expense. Win win situation.
Thank you for the update on the boat. I'd say give yourself at least a year to settle in before even thinking about selling it. Love the idea of letting friends/family be blessed by it and keep the hull growth at bay!
Maybe it's best they keep it for themselves for at least a year like you said. It's been my experience that people don't take care of things if they didn't put their sweat and tears into. A haul out might be a better option at this time.
Hello Everyone Works for a living! and that's why they do daily once a week use of their boat. Maybe they may do an extended trip if they can work it out but its all about daily once a week use at a time
Great to see you guys on the boat 🛥️
Keep the boat!!! It's what brought you to where you are today - you may need it again!
I love watching you guys doing Life on your own terms , Keep it up .
thank you for going back to the boat.
Do what we do, Keep the boat on a trailer. Your 'Up keep' is less expensive and out of water maintenance is a breeze. Cheaper in the long run.
go back to the boat and ill start watching again
I do miss the boat life!
That's exactly why I subbed years ago! And Kristen!
Boat life baby!!! That's why I first viewed in!!!
I would keep the boat if financially able to and use it occasionally. You don’t have to give up your love of sailing.
Remember to enjoy "the journey!" No need to rush anything even the building of your house. "Take time" as you said, for what brings joy. Happy living!
Did we miss something? You mentioned "junior is coming ". Are you expecting? The boat looks amazing!!
Peace on earth,,,,and ocean !
You got to keep the dang DD! You guys are real boatees.
Everyone has to have a safe harbor. A place to call home and be able to relax and rejuvenate. Build the home-limit the animals-enjoy both worlds. I have 19 acres in the middle of Texas. I love it. But when I go to the coast I feel so relaxed and happy. Even if it is raining. My wife is afraid of the water. She does like the beach.
We have a little one on the way as well! Dream big. Love yall.
You can make an additional part for your boat, then you can bring the animals 😅😅😅
Glad to see you two on the boat again!
I hope you are able to make time for sailing (once a month or two) and then make some income off of it those weeks you don't want to use it. Best...
Having a boat and living on the land in your paradise is the best of both worlds. Doing only one thing eventually gets boring, yes living full time on a boat can have it's issues and isn't all smiles and fun like some youtube channels like you to believe. Like others here, keep the boat. Sail when you can as when the house and land needs a break. Why choose? Live in both worlds! It will get easier the more the house and land are complete. Nothing is overnight, unless you have a LOT of money but then you don't appreciate it.
You should do Pay pleasure sales That way you could still go out on the boat and enjoy it
We all live the life of land. Most of us will never get to those places you have been on the boat. Enjoy the boat more.
You can have the best of both worlds if you continue to take things slow and plan it out
Keep the boat! You've both put a ton of work and love into it and you would regret selling it. Sail to your wedding then store it there until you have time to come back and sail it home.
Keep the boat!🙏
Please keep the boat. For me, for my heart, for your hearts. PLEASE keep the boat.
Definitely prefer you guys back on the boat. Sticking with the on land stuff but not nearly as entertaining. You should keep the boat and make it fit into your on land mayhem.😊
Keep the boat you know it felt great to be sailing again!
How far from the land is your boat? I vote you keep it and use it just like everyone else (like me) with boat few hours drive away and normal jobs. Yes, we use many weekends for work, but we also do summer vacation and weekends or long weekend getaways. You will miss the boat some day, even though not necesarily now with so much work on the land ahead. Happy for your wedding plans. ❤
Not gonna lie but seeing you two back on the boat excited me! I will still follow you no matter what but I miss the sailing journeys a lot!
Excellent, Matt did a fabulous job on the interior, everything looked spotless. Did you have any mussel growth in the intakes? I think your right, charter her out in Puerto Rico, even give Seamanship lessons, etc or start a tour guide of the various islands. You should be able to get 30 for her no problem.
Wow, I only found your content once you guys started on the land, I can see why you would be concerned with Kristen falling for the boat, it's really beautiful.❤
Keep the boat. Make the time.
Keep it make sure that twice a year make time for a vacation
I have to tell you guys that when i seen you were going back to the boat i couldnt hit play fast enough!! Although I will follow ya'll where ever you go and do I miss the boat life awfully!! Keep the boat, it doesn't owe you a dime! Much love from the coast of Maine 🤙 ❤️
I like both but you have to do what is best for you. I really like the homesteading but a few boat trips would be cool too.
Find a captain you trust Matt and charter the old girl out for tourists wanting to see the islands that way you keep her sea worthy and she brings in some cash.
This! At least try it and if does not work out… regroup and figure something else out!
Oh boy glad to see y’all will b wAtching u all
I spent 3 years building my own home. I wish I could have spent 3 years sailing. Life is short, keep sailing/adventuring!
❤❤❤❤KEEP THE BOAT ! The name of your channel, the place you live . . .on an island? It's what got me watching, don't abandon it !😊❤❤❤
Keep the boat. Balance of land and sailing.
Boat or land all good to me, thanks for the vids.
The interior still looks awsome! Nice!
I'm glad you still have the boat. I wasn't sure you kept it except you didn't mention selling her.
Great episode. I think you should keep the boat and take a boat trip at least once a year. I think you'd regret it if you sold it. Balance is the key.
Here is a thought SALE THE BOAT. You can always buy later. Your losing money every day
once a year isn't enough..you have to check on your property intermittently when no one expects it...❤
@@annreiter284 it’s a tough decision
I’m pretty sure most, if not all enjoy your adventures on the boat. It is GBU after all, but what makes you happy??
Keep your boat😊
First of all I would like to say that Matt is one crafty guy! He can build or fix anything and it's always quality! Second I would like to say to keep the boat and make the time to sail a few times a year. Sailing is your passion and I think you would regret selling the boat! Last I would like to say I look forward to your video every Sunday! I'm excited to see the house being built!
Ok I'm back for good ! Love you guys either on water or land ❤ I will still, watch
Stay cool guys😊
So good to see you guys back on the boat! I have been really wondering what is happening with it. Whatever you decide to do with the boat please, please don't let it go the way of the sea. You have put way too much hard work into it to let that happen.😊
I would rent the boat just sitting still at anchor! For a non sailing air b&b😊
I think you were happier Sailing!
Let's see you ride it
Ride it more often!
So glad to see you on the boat again, I kept asking if you sold it, could never get an answer. KEEP IT!!!!!! You will regret selling it!! Your viewers enjoy seeing you on it again.
Keep the boat. Matty Jr will love it.
Prefer the boat, but follow what motivates you.
