  • Welcome to another sesh in Lulu's Kitchen!!
Today I am preparing a mix of four different grains: basmati rice, wild rice, quinoa and farro.
Typically grains are cooked on the stovetop but I have discovered a way to cook them in the oven! Yes, baked grains!!
The results are light and fluffy, never sticky, perfectly cooked grains.
    Easy breezy, delish and nutrish!!!

Wow that’s amazing. I love rice. I will have to do that! I have been mixing cauliflower rice with my basmati which not coincidentally I saw on your channel some time back too. I really appreciate your positivity and always smile when you start dancing, it’s like a stress relief. We need more smiles in this world.

Truly practical, easy, and cost effective way of cooking grains. No waste since rice soesnt stick.
Once you showed us a few months back, that is how I prepare ours.
I love consuming each grain and not having to let the pot sit soaking to get the stuck on rice off.
Letting it sit in the residual heat is KEY... grains love that, especially the quinoa.
    Thanks!!!

Thank you, Lulu for sharing so much with us. I'm learning a better way to cook and eat with my limited mobility in the golden years. Pre-cooking allows a much easier evening meal with more of an "assemblage" rather than the standing and cooking after a full day. Love the way you mix the grains!! ❤
