Good idea to put the avocado at the bottom of the salad so it does not brown. I love to drop avocado into a whizzer of some kind with some balsamic vinegar, olive oil and dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Pretty good for a salad dressing as well.

that video was less than 2 years ago. the only two differences today is that at that time I was following a 100% vegan diet and had been for 22 years. and I also did not take any supplements then. I was advised to make those two changes in June of 2022 by a very wise woman!!

I've gone from 240 to 160 so far this year and i am just starting to get eyebrow raises about 'losing too much" But I am following a plan like you, I eat a lot of food, but cut out sugar, bread and all refined crap in crinkle bags. The weight loss has slowed in the past 3 months but it's still settling to what my body should weigh I guess. Thank you for your videos. They help me to feel supported.🎉

I had a hard time letting go of my rich salad dressing such as blue-cheese. I didn’t want salad without it. But over time I made up recipes that I really like. One of my favorite ingredients is the brine from jars of peppers or pickles.

I do love a chopped salad with a variety of stuff in it! You included the artichoke hearts! I love that, too! And the little English cukes, too. And red onion!! And red cabbage!! Often I use Endive as part of my greens, too (it has that little bit of bitterness for flavor variety). For my protein (havent learned your protein preferences, yet) I often add a sprinkle of chopped pecans and a sprinkle of gorgonzola or feta crumbles or some fresh Mozzarella balls (all easily weighed and measured) - again, textures and tastes. I don't use the shredded carrots, or the avocado and never beets) Very pleasing to see you put together a lovely salad!! Thank you!

I used to love dancing.....I forgot I've done variations on what you've done food wise including the big salads..... however have always self sabotaged one way or another .... Soon I'm done working and can create space for change....I'm going to try and care for myself again.....starting with a scale and doing what I say I'm going to do! Hey Lulu! Watching some of your old food vids. We have 3, 100yr old avocado trees in our yard. You probably already know this, but, to keep the open avocados from turning brown, for a few days, you need to leave the seed in, or rub lime, lemon, or some kind of acidic stuff on the flesh. Hi, Lulu. Help! I'm confused by your weighing the oil? I thought fats were measured in liquid ounces!? Also, I am so impressed with all your "readiness" prep. That, for me has been the very, very hardest part to accomplish. I believe it is the CRUX of being successful! Have you done a whole video yet on prepping your foods? The cooking ahead, the cutting up, the way to store various things so they stay fresh the longest, etc. Those are stumbling blocks for me. the food plan calls for 1 T oil at both lunch and dinner. I determined what 1 T of oil weighs, which is 1/2 oz., and I just weigh it instead of measuring it, saves washing a spoon!!! As a new subscriber I’m working my way through your vlogs and haven’t found one that tells what my portions should be to lose weight; I know you’re maintaining your weight and eat larger portions. Where do I find how many ounces of each food group. Previously I had success in weighing my food but stopped, gave away my scale, and gradually gained weight. 😮 Funny how I abandoned what worked (not really funny-kinda stupid). My new food scale was delivered yesterday (the one you recommend) and I’m going grocery shopping today. You have truly inspired me! Four years ago I was down 60 pounds. I gained 30 back. Thank you, for what I need to get rid of the 30 pounds that have been making me 🥜 nuts!

You probably already know this, but, to keep the open avocados from turning brown, for a few days, you need to leave the seed in, or rub lime, lemon, or some kind of acidic stuff on the flesh. Hi, Lulu. Help! I'm confused by your weighing the oil? I thought fats were measured in liquid ounces!? Also, I am so impressed with all your "readiness" prep. That, for me has been the very, very hardest part to accomplish. I believe it is the CRUX of being successful! Have you done a whole video yet on prepping your foods? The cooking ahead, the cutting up, the way to store various things so they stay fresh the longest, etc. Those are stumbling blocks for me. I would be so grateful to watch and listen to "Lulu's Way" of doing that!!! Grateful in PA!!
the food plan calls for 1 T oil at both lunch and dinner. I determined what 1 T of oil weighs, which is 1/2 oz., and I just weigh it instead of measuring it, saves washing a spoon!!! As a new subscriber I’m working my way through your vlogs and haven’t found one that tells what my portions should be to lose weight; I know you’re maintaining your weight and eat larger portions. Where do I find how many ounces of each food group. Previously I had success in weighing my food but stopped, gave away my scale, and gradually gained weight. 😮 Funny how I abandoned what worked (not really funny-kinda stupid). My new food scale was delivered yesterday (the one you recommend) and I’m going grocery shopping today. You have truly inspired me! Four years ago I was down 60 pounds. I gained 30 back. Thank you, for what I need to get rid of the 30 pounds that have been making me 🥜 nuts!
