Nice work dude! Ace to see her finally getting some TLC! Ya man! Adjustable coil overs, compression struts and still got an anti-roll bar, she’s alright underneath! 😎
Really enjoying something different to work on, especially using metric tools 🤣 I think I clocked braided brake hoses too, Kat is so tidy underneath. She will soon be back to her best 👍🏻
Anton and I put those struts together with a coil over conversion kit from rally designs (basically meant for a mk1/2 escort). That is one very very behaved Capri. There aren't many with the bits Anton put on there. Its only really missing its panhard rod that kept protesting to being attached to a capri. When that is fitted the difference in handling from standard is huge. Good work buddy keep it up
That’s very cool, can you remember what strut top mount was used? There’s a little movement in the passenger upper (Peak District roads are poorly maintained) She’s currently sat at the moment. Doesn’t like to start when hot, when she does run there is a misfire I need to investigate. I suspect the carb is gunged up 🤷♂️ Some protesting going on 🤣 She will be at the social, Millie is sitting this one out this time
@@nickproofcertified oh cool! Thats be good. I am planning to be there too. Maybe with the rolling road set up but not working at the venues request. I think it came with the kit it's just an aluminium spring retainer. I think the actual top mount was Reginald capri. IIRC there is not decent way that thw agreeing angle is accounted for. Not bearing let like on any other modern car. But I'm a little rust on the details
@@lozl looking forward to seeing the rolling road, can’t tell you how interested I have been in the project I will match it up when I get the that area 🤣
@@nickproofcertified cheers buddy. I'm so pleased with it its thrown no teething problems at all yet..... which is very unusual for a laurence project :)
when you were hammering all I could think of was Father Ted 🤣🤣 But seriously, good effort - looks better 👍
Yes Father Ted 🤣 I like that! Certainly going to have another go at it with the ‘correct’ tools 😎
First thing that came to mind as well was fr Ted 😂
I was thinking the same 😂😂but great video nick look forward to some more mate keep up the good work 👍
@@nickproofcertified ah, you're a perfectionist Father Ted, that's your problem 🤣
