Ana is absolutely outstanding with all the star quality you can imagine, of course…. But Fausto, for heaven sake, what an amazing man- and voice- his singing is a world wonder to me, the way he performed, so much passion held back, letting her to blossom, with out disappearing, and without becoming a frame to this perfectly beautiful powerful woman- the best duet that ever had been recorded.
MASTERPIECE. Underrated in the voting, because this theme and the performance had quality enough to be WINNER and...only got 9th place (and shared with Greece). And "thanks", because Avrei Voluto was with 0 points during quite time in the voting (until the 9th country voting gave 7 points -from Portugal-). Afortunatelly in the final rect of the voting, Finland -10-, Spain -12-, Germany -8- and Yugoslavia -7- went up this wonderful entry until that shatred 9th place. Injustice.
I remember it was entry numero uno of the night... I was watching the guy dropping the first lines with his harsh voice and felt like i was in the fish market or something... typical Italian boring song, i thought. Then, Ana came in, boosted the song and Uplifted my mood. All in all, they had excellent chemistry and earned me for good, that's why i am posting after 34 years with the same excitement i felt back in my 13's. Viva Avrei Voluto !!!
Botafogoplayground Yes, to me, the heydays of Eurovision was the 80’s and 90’s. Once Yugoglavia split into 6 and started sending every year 4,5 of their god-awful songs and sharing 12 points amongst themselves, that was the end of Eurovision for me.

I think 1989 was a GREAT YEAR. Gosh, to ME, the mid-80's to the mid-90's were my favorite years in ESC. After that, it got too big and too political. But now thanks to Will Ferrell and you, I'm a Eurovision all over again! Hahaha

Invece di fare i gran saggi coi lavori degli altri, bisognerebbe informarsi. Ti Lascerò fu messa da parte per l'impossibilità oggettiva di ridurla alla durata di 3 minuti. E loro portarono un altro duetto di livello. Le occasioni buttate di stare zitti.

Secondo me è un caso abbastanza tipico di proposta oscurata da quella portata a Sanremo (e vuoi mettere con Ti Lascerò…), oltre al fatto che Eurovision è stata snobbata fino all'altro ieri. In più mi sa che pure Oxa e Leali non l'hanno più cantata.
probabilmente non hanno mandato ti lasceró perché la rai all’epoca non voleva vincere l’eurovision per non organizzarlo in italia. non dico che avrebbero vinto con quella, ma ti lasceró è una canzone parecchio forte.

Yugoslavia sent many fine entries in the 60s and 70s.
