What I think a lot of people would like to see, is a video of the progression of the StepChild as it changed over the years, what was done, undone, redone. What worked well, what didn't, and how you felt about each step.
As a Veteran, I love the concept of this trail. Much respect to whoever had anything to do with the naming and badging of this trail.🤙 Edit: Step Child is showing off now... Would you guys ever reveal a list of every modify part that's on Step Child and the cost?
Atlas shift tip. Brakes applied, in drive. Put a reasonable amount of pressure on the stick you want to shift (not 50 lbs), proly 5-10. While holding pressure on the stick, shift transmission to Reverse. This changes the load from one side of the gear to the other. So for a split second the gear is free. If super bound, you can give a little throttle after you are in reverse and it didn’t shift, still holding the brakes.
InSaane! StepChild is now it own Buggie! Kevin is amazing with throttle and brake control. Glad to hear StepChild has good on-highway manners, just watch sudden turn inputs. Definitely need an incline monitor! Sand Mountain has Everything; except water. LiteBriteNationStretchesHerLegs!
I can remember when you and Kevin took this Jeep out brand new! What an awesome progression I can’t wait start getting my Jeep headed in that direction! 😊
I love watching the StepChild 3.69XXX on the rocks. It’s just like my Axial SCX10.3 JL RC, with the triangulated four link, and coil overs with massive travel and articulation.
Kevin, wander into a truck stop and get one of the purple seat pads, if you put it behind you instead of sitting on it , it should push you forward an inch or two so you’ll reach the pedals and when you don’t need it it’ll serve double duty as a puppy bed
That is one of the best trails in Sand Hollow!! If you turn off that last one too soon like Britt said, you can get body damage! There is a bonus obstacle to the right of that last one called “Jeff’s crack” Watch my “Fallen” and see a white Rubicon fall in that crack!!😃 Absolutely love the new suspension and all of the articulation!!😎💪
I absolutely LOVE your channel. To the point that I want to start over landing. In order to do so, I ordered a lift kit from ROUGH COUNTRY. I AM POSTING THIS AS A WARNING TO EVERYONE..... I purchased a 4" lift kit for my 84 Ram Charger. I was told that it would have EVERYTHING that I needed. Well, the front sway bar links, the rear u bolts , and shackles all had to be repurchased due to the lift, being more of a 6" lift. So, it is a bit taller, but my husband is a double amputee, and this causes a problem.... Not including the $248 in parts that I had to purchase afterwards. OK, so I called RC directly and even though he agreed that the wrong parts were in the box, he REFUSED to help in any way! We live on a tight budget, and this f**ked me over , HARD! I just don't want any of you to have to go through the extra money, and crappy service!
I really enjoyed your latest video, the StepChild is a beast!! Great build! Now I want to do a heavy mod to my Tundra. I saw you eye’s roll. Speaking of roll, that beast needs a ROLL CAGE. You don’t want to end up on your roof with the stock cage.
KEVIN ( I was trying to come I was trying to come no really I was trying ) 🤣🤣 Brittany getting exited 😊 the step child is to be recond with for sure. I keep drooling over the shocks Mmmm so amazing.
Would luv to see LiteBrite on Rogan lol. Light the place up. Would also like to see them get together with the Laura Farms couple and take them wheeling😊
I used to have Kevin’s attitude of “it makes it too easy” towards mods like an atlas, selectable lockers, “suck down” winches, you name it. Now I’m more on Brittany’s side of “it’s just another tool so you can do more challenging lines/trails.”
Badass jeep y'all's built! Can't wait to see it out on the trails. Still waiting to see if Kevin gets his new trophy truck Brittany. Awesome video of the new and improved step child. Keep up the awesome videos Brittany. #999litebritenationforthewin
Talking about AC, my friend races & he turned a street car into a race car, BUT he did not remove the AC. He forgot to turn it off or maybe he didn’t want to turn it off living in TEXAS & it being summer & the condensation hit the track & he was almost kicked out. He got a tongue lashing. But yeah, I realize the water doesn’t mean that much on a trail vs. track.
Kevin, you sir are one of the best wheelers out there. You respect the terrain and you respect your equipment. I have the utmost respect for you. The same can be said for that beautiful wife of yours as well. Now trust her when she is spotting you! 😉 Great content guys keep up the great work. Is this Bree (sp?) first timing rock crawling? Would've loved to see her reaction to these obstacles.
Not her first time rock crawling, but probably the most extreme wheeling she’s done in a Jeep before! Unfortunately, her reactions aren’t too exciting, cause she suffers from RBF (resting bored face). 😅 She’s having a blast, but sometimes it’s hard to tell. Lol
Now theres a million dollar vidio❣️🏁🥂❣️, finaly Frankenstein lives & walks ❣️. You two are the King & Queen of the mountains 🏁 . Full lugury cruise . & Best part IS , full privacy & so personable. Now thats a Real Getaway & picnic cruise . Ill say , Brittney . Your in great shape !🏁! Thats one hell of a hike taking in the super great camera material , magestic ❣️Many Thank Yous stunning views ❣️🥂🏁. What the cost , $$ for passenger tickets 🤔😉
I've had an Atlas for 7 years now the front dig is only super useful on flat ground because on steep crap i cant get the druveline tension out easily to it out of gear .
I am mentally eating my words. I just knew, at last, you two just ruined a perfectly good trail riding Jeep. That it would a “problem child” rather than the step child. Boy am I wrong. It is the beast of all jeeps. It is literally “The one jeep to rule them all”.
The stepchild sits so tall now that it makes those 40s look itty bitty! Climbing up that wall at 13:24 the entire front tires where completely under the level of the rock sliders! Time for 42s! 😈
All they would have to do is sign an exclusive endorsement put the LiteBrite stamp of approval on them the parts would fly out the door. Keep roadin' as their job.
Good morning I hope when I get a chance to meet you in person that i would be able to go for a ride in stepchild. That is a bad ass machine you make trails look easy to do and effort less
That intro is fkn Nuts lmao.. Big Ball's brother mad skills and Step Child is a fkn BEAST lmao 😁 😁 Love from The Land Down Under 😘 😘 😘 😘 Ps now too watch video 😉😉😉😉
One of the hardest trails I have ever done. I did all of it except the final obstacle b/c I have a manual transmission and it is just too hard to hold on that wall. '15 Sport with MC GC, Six Paks, 37"
Man this thing climbs now..the sway bars are getting a workout! Kevin will disagree but It looks like it has a good bit of anti-squat but it’s hard to avoid with a rig that flexes like this. Some of those rear views show how hard this rig wants to stay flat..it’s screaming for 42’s now!
Having experience with 3-link rear suspension and making the transmission to a triangulated four link, I’d be interested to hear about what your honest thoughts about that upgrade are.
It’s not like you don’t have other rigs to take just so you have to. Side chic would be a good one to take. But I know it would be hard to film and drive all the time.
You may have mentioned this before, but what 4-low gearing are you running in your new Atlas? Seems like there was a lot less two-footing, but still some amazing controlled crawling going on.
I know that editing is hard. However, it would be really awesome if you pulled footage from old video of the stepchild on the same obstacles.
History of the Step Child. I'd like to see the Sherriff Pigg encounter too.
Funny I was thinking the exact same! A few times I was literally expecting an old clip to pop up lol
Brit is so in tune with spotting. I can only imagine how stressful that was climbing that last obstacle in person.
What I think a lot of people would like to see, is a video of the progression of the StepChild as it changed over the years, what was done, undone, redone. What worked well, what didn't, and how you felt about each step.
I agree. That would be cool. From the beginning to present. But there has been so many mods that the video might have to be in a series.
StepChild: The Shocking Untold Story Behind The Ultimate Comfort Crawler
Just wow you two. Chris built you a rock destroyer. That made everything look so easy. Great stuff.
As a Veteran, I love the concept of this trail. Much respect to whoever had anything to do with the naming and badging of this trail.🤙
Edit:
Step Child is showing off now...
Would you guys ever reveal a list of every modify part that's on Step Child and the cost?
It's all worth it. Time, effort, cost everything. This rig is awesome.
StepChild looks freaking amazing going through the paces!!! ❤️❤️💯🤙
Atlas shift tip. Brakes applied, in drive. Put a reasonable amount of pressure on the stick you want to shift (not 50 lbs), proly 5-10. Yea the stepchild is definitely super badass. Everything looks like it’s working flawlessly and exactly how it’s supposed to.
I can remember when you and Kevin took this Jeep out brand new! What an awesome progression I can’t wait start getting my Jeep headed in that direction! 😊
I've been watching this channel since the beginning & Lite Brite continues to push it to the limits with ease. An amazing duo 👏.
Most impressive Wrangler JL build I’ve ever seen.
Incredibly capable rig!! Very impressive. Great job Chris too! As a team, all of you should be proud.
The long coil overs and fuel tank relocation definitely improved stability and belly clearance
Seriously, you guys should be way over 500K subs. The way you do things and Y’all’s attitudes are top notch. Not to mention your shop time sessions.
And let's not forget... Brit is a damn dime! And so is Kevin, obviously. LOL
@@daysdesignsthat’s why 90% of the time they put her on the thumbnail of videos trying to get people to watch the videos

6:21 wow 😮. That thing is insane!!

👏👏👏👏👏👏STEPCHILD IS CRAZY!!! made it look easy..
You two make it look so easy peazy. So quiet and smoooooth.
KEVIN ( I was trying to come I was trying to come no really I was trying ) 🤣🤣 Brittany getting exited 😊 the step child is to be recond with for sure. I keep drooling over the shocks Mmmm so amazing.
Brittany is like the Joe Rogan of wheeling commentary!!!
Would luv to see LiteBrite on Rogan lol. Light the place up. Would also like to see them get together with the Laura Farms couple and take them wheeling😊
thank you for bringing the stepchild
back
I am impressed. Crazy flex and balance.
What a machine!!!!! Kudos guys. You nailed it on this build.
Step Child 3.0 is a Rock Star!
I used to have Kevin’s attitude of “it makes it too easy” towards mods like an atlas, selectable lockers, “suck down” winches, you name it. Now I’m more on Brittany’s side of “it’s just another tool so you can do more challenging lines/trails.”
Impressive !!! I can remember a long ago when Stepchild first developed the death wobble... You nuts❤❤❤!!!
I so love the commentary, but you guys are dorks. Thats why I love your channel!
Badass jeep y'all's built! Can't wait to see it out on the trails. Still waiting to see if Kevin gets his new trophy truck Brittany. Awesome video of the new and improved step child. Keep up the awesome videos Brittany. #999litebritenationforthewin
Bayou guys made everything thing look so easy. Good driving and an awesome Jeep build on the stepchild
Talking about AC, my friend races & he turned a street car into a race car, BUT he did not remove the AC. 14:13 - Kev. is truly: Superman‼️
20:00 just pause it for a second and look at that shit. That’s incredible. And freaks me out but look how stable the cab is
Looks like you have a winner there. Happy Trails to all at LBN.
I can see how easy it can climb compared to before ❤❤
You guys have created the most amazing jeep, tha thanks for the inspiration ❤️
You guys did an amazing job on the step child. To Chris, as well for most of the fabrication. Safe trails..
LITE BRITE ROCKS 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Kevin, you sir are one of the best wheelers out there. You respect the terrain and you respect your equipment. I have the utmost respect for you. The same can be said for that beautiful wife of yours as well. Now trust her when she is spotting you! 😉 Great content guys keep up the great work.

@LiteBrite 😄 rbf that's funny! Can't wait for the next adventure!
The stepchild does damn good for an old beater ;) 😉
Wow Kevin your Jeep is beast scene you done all the modes on your Jeep there seems to be nothing it can't do good job.
Thank you both. Love this
Our pleasure!

Amazing Jeep...thanks for the ride
I've had an Atlas for 7 years now the front dig is only super useful on flat ground because on steep crap i cant get the druveline tension out easily to it out of gear .
Jeep on top, buggy underneath. Crazy good.
Awesome build. So cool all you can do. Great job all. God bless take care.
Wow that V notch obstacle has a pucker factor of 9.5.. CRAZY!
absolutely a beautiful jeep for sure.... wish I the money I'd have Chris build me one just like it..... awesome job!
Great spotting Brittney!
The greatest dilemma is between hen pecked and wrecked. Listen to your spotter, Kevin!🤣🤣🤣
Hell of build from 2018 to now. Dang!
Living your best lives!
Great shake down but i think you do it with the spare on the back because you never know when you might need it but hands down that was bad ass
Playing Catch up Again while in a town for a few days!
I am mentally eating my words. I just knew, at last, you two just ruined a perfectly good trail riding Jeep. That it would a “problem child” rather than the step child. Boy am I wrong. It is the beast of all jeeps. It is literally “The one jeep to rule them all”.
WOW That thing is amazing now! It does look too easy now!
I think the video shows the capabilities of the Stepchild. The fact that you did not have to bump it or over rev it to get through the trail.
Lesson time! Just cause you say come...sometimes it takes longer😅
The Step Child has so much articulation now it's insane. It's more of a Buggy that identifies as a Wrangler at this point. 🤣
Oh, I love Bri. She’s funny and cute. Hi Bri!
Wow that is crazy good what Kevin just did.
I've finally come around to your Blenders. Britt and the Stepchild lookin good 👍
The stepchild sits so tall now that it makes those 40s look itty bitty! Climbing up that wall at 13:24 the entire front tires where completely under the level of the rock sliders!
Time for 42s! 😈
Kevin, why not start-up a build business of clones of the stepchild & market it through Americas Most Wanted as a turn key adventure!
We’ve given a ton of fans/friends ride alongs in the past - so it’s definitely possible!
Shouldn't need Tazer...should be able to turn off "Hill start assist" right in the radio settings.
Very impressive guys Nice job!
Great trail, cheers.
that thing is a freaking beast!!!
That intro is fkn Nuts lmao.. Big Ball's brother mad skills and Step Child is a fkn BEAST lmao 😁 😁
Love from The Land Down Under 😘 😘 😘 😘
Ps now too watch video 😉😉😉😉
OMFG Great episode guy's Amazing Wheelin loved it,
Hey Brit I've said it before, I would Trust You with My Life beautiful You are Amazing 😘😘😘😘
Sick! One BA Jeep!
The thing just keeps going.
One of the hardest trails I have ever done. I did all of it except the final obstacle b/c I have a manual transmission and it is just too hard to hold on that wall. '15 Sport with MC GC, Six Paks, 37"

Looks like the ole girl is doing a darn good job...
And lil bree (in my opinion) is a beautiful young (lil) lady..
I would love to see the Step Child at SMORR. Do a trail takeover there and I will be 1st in line. Thank you for your your time.
Having experience with 3-link rear suspension and making the transmission to a triangulated four link, I’d be interested to hear about what your honest thoughts about that upgrade are.
So everything is perfect now - let's start into mass production of "Step-Childs" because everyone should have one 😀.
Looks like the ultimate setup, keeping it street legal.... :-)
It's amazing what a $200,000 Jeep JLU can do.
The President has 'The Beast' and you got Stepchild.
This whole video is impressive.
It’s not like you don’t have other rigs to take just so you have to. Side chic would be a good one to take. But I know it would be hard to film and drive all the time.
Nice digging.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
The 40s almost look small now, I think some 42s would look perfect!
When I win the Powerball you can build one for me. Keep in one piece Kevin cuz I wanna see it at jeep invasion in pigeon forge next year.
I want a rig just like that, and name it "Pavement Princess!" 😅😅
You may have mentioned this before, but what 4-low gearing are you running in your new Atlas? Seems like there was a lot less two-footing, but still some amazing controlled crawling going on.
Great video thank you!
In Hurricane camping from Denver, just shouting out
These trails are all easy and they just make them look hard by turning the camera. My stock RAV4 made it thru twice last week.
Taking the bypasses doesn’t count. Lol
Hay Brittany you ought to talk Chris into putting a outlaw type Hemi in his land Cruiser what do you think about the idea 💡
Sweet Flex!
WOW! Awesome!
