@@AP-eb8hd no he wasn't good initially. If you see his old videos he tried ways like fraud babas. He would speak slowly to show that he was enlightened. Now he speaks freely and you can easily see most of what he speaks comes from his heart he doesn't try to look like a baba anymore. He has good understanding of history nationalism etc. He charges very high fees and spreads yoga that's business. This pseudoscience is used by him because he really thinks its science(not in all cases though).
15,000 years ago, Adiyogi had a personal one-to-one meeting with Sadhguru where he exchanged certain inter-dimensional-quantum-mechanical scientific ideas with the latter.

Pranav, can you please make a video debunking 'crystal healing'? People just spend thousands of bucks buying these crystals for 'energizing their aura' and what not. There's no problem in wearing them as jewellery (coz they are just pretty-looking rocks), but marketing crystals as they could solve your life problems is just beyond me.

It worked against one of my toxic friends, although he cannot move now and it gets pretty messy with blood and evidence around, but none of those toxic friends talk to me anymore 😄

Sadhguru is trying to draw a parallel between Hindu mythology and theory of evolution but not necessarily true. Religious people mostly don't believe in Darwin's theory. They think the world has roots in their religion. How will you make people believe in Science, that's something to be thought about. Pranav, you need to expand the base horizontally, form a close knit community for scientific literary. Loving your work!
You're referring to the proponents of abrahamic faiths, they reject evolution as they believe in creationism or intelligent design. Christians have this book called "the book of genesis" which focuses on this. Not many Hindus think much about evolution and creationism, those who do generally don't have a problem accepting it.
You don't need to make these claims to make people accept science.. You just need them to read textbooks which they never did.. Because of how tough it is to interpret or how boring it is...
For that you have channels which explains scientific concept in more layman language... Watch them instead of false information...

It was because of visionaries like BR ambedkar that we got a very ROBUST constitution and human rights protection. Vishnu Purana which was written between 400 BCE to 900 CE, that's the General Consensus (some historians say it has roots in the 1BCE, but the Vishnu Purana's current format was written between 400 BCE to 900 CE).
One thing is for sure, Vishnu Purana WAS NOT WRITTEN in the Vedic Period ie 1900- 1400 BCE.

I am a big fan of your work. Also, a very funny incident took place that I would like to share. A family member of mine was arguing how Gotra system followed in north India is “scientific “.
it’s literal pseudo science because gotra works the way surnames do, i.e. you inherit them from your father. So when marriages take place, you need to make sure the gotras of the would be husband and wife don’t match because then they belong to the “same family.
But my point is , the gotra of only the father is taken up by the child. So at the time of marriage, you never take into account the gotra of the mothers. Given that there are 21 gotras, there is a 1/441 chance that a couple might marry thinking they have different gotras because they never matched their mother’s gotra and only went with their father’s😂😂

I was watching Mohak Mangal's video on cousin marriages, and people were arguing with me on the same with half-baked pseudoscientific 'facts'. Their arguments were that if cousin marriages were performed during the Mahabharata, there was some 'science' behind it and were talking about how our culture was so advanced about the same and hence prohibited marriages within the same gotra. Had they ever opened a science textbook they would know that a child inherits the genes of both his parents, whereas the gotra system is patrilinear.
@@ankitjain3760 But again the mother's gotra means the gotra inherited from just the maternal grandfather, and not the grandmother. The gotra system is passed on in a patrilinear way, so it does not account for the gotra of the mother.

Sadhguru’s ridiculous explanations mask a genuine attempt being made by Indian storytellers at the time to come up with a coherent narrative about our existence. It remains a great capsule in time about ancient Indian thinking, and is very interesting in its own way. The Greek and the Egyptians did this as well.
Such wild claims cheapens the actual achievement and curiosity that smart people at the time had. Tragic really, what he is doing.

I strongly feel that *there is a MAJOR FLAW* in the claim that the DashAvatara mythology "represents the evolution of life forms on the Earth, even if it does so only in a symbolic manner".
*Even during the very 1st avatara as a fish (i.e., Matsya), human beings were already in existence in the DashAvatara mythology.*
In fact, it is the human sage Manu whom the fish (i.e. Matsya avatara of Vishnu) approaches, seemingly to ask for protection.
So, if evolved human beings-so evolved that the human beings included a wise, civilised man such as the sage Manu-were ALREADY present during the very 1st Avatara, it seems highly incorrect to claim that the DashAvatara mythology accurately represents the evolution of life (even if it is only in a symbolic manner).

But does it have a clear understanding of everything? The main thing Sadhguru is doing is, to increase the wellbeing of everyone and everything, supporting the environment and nature so humans don’t destroy themselves and the planet and that everyone can live very well and not that someone has 200 billions Dollar and another nothing to eat and only dirty water. What he talks about science, idk if he’s always right, but that’s not his main thing he does, for this we have scientists, but obviously the way we conduct things and ourselves, is not working properly because we doing more damage to us and everything, that’s a fact and the way Sadhguru is conducting everything, obviously works and I can tell from my experience, it works definitely for the wellbeing of everything and everyone. We usually say first humans evolved from Africa and then came out of Africa. So me and my friend were discussing it and came up with a theory that what if humans had multiple origins? And what if those evolved humans were other lands were eaten, since as we know after end of dinosaurs and Evolved in harsh circumstances which forced them to come on land. Several similar occasions happened on other parts of the world too but why only Africa? And why not Asia or America's or even the Oceania?
So according to our theory Humans did evolved from other lands as well and later when humans who came out of Africa interbreed among other evolved humans which resulted in different looks we have or things which many people throughout the world have evolved.
To give a random example: There's a tribe in Phillipines who can see things underwater clearly unlike humans like us. So what if one of their ancestors were humans evolved in Asia who were decendents of Southeast Asian evolved apes who later interbreed with half South Asian evolved apes and African apes or maybe full African ape interbreeding with Southeast Asian ones.
Also another proposal of ours is what if there were many as such Asian apes but were eaten by predators? Because of which we can't find their remains.

Many of these claims come from the romanticism of the culture that was once lost, and people who are driven to know about that time where they were once great.
Delusional would be a very strong word.
The thing is, on some level, we can relate to this line of thinking because we mourn the loss of "Sone ki chiddiya Bharat" before the British take over. Of course, there is nothing wrong in that.
The situation where this becomes a problem is when people believe anything they see or hear without proper inquiry. It is not to be said Sadhguru is wrong or don't believe him. Just question everything in your life and believe only after you know the truth. Hell, don't believe me if you want, but at least think about things.

I agree with most of what you said. The case of Ramanujan still remains an exception. Most of his works seemed to have come to him out of nowhere. He himself claimed that he had visions of mathematical scrolls. It is bizarre to think meditating for extended period of time might make you an all knowing superior human. Still I would not confute that it might have happened to someone several thousand years ago.

I do see some similarities between them but of course it's not clearly mentioned in Hindu scriptures as it's more than 5000 years old and many of the explanation has been lost due to invasions and not having correct interpretations of it.
I am not denying the rationality of science but won't be rejecting the Hindu theory just because it's dharmic.

We do know that whenever a new organism is found, species evolution chart changes significantly.
Why can't we just accept that Das Avatar was just an attempt made to theorize evolution?
It's similar to Doberneir or Newland Octaves who made early attempts to make periodic table.
So we have to possibilities.
1. The organisms shown in Das Avatar must have been extinct and haven't been found yet. Or
2. This was one early attempt made by Indians to theorize evolution.

1) Dashavatar is just mythology and it wasn't intended to tell us anything about origin of life and evolution, and you're trying too hard to let it fit, even though there are more unfitting pieces than there are fitting ones.
2) Dashavatar is mythology where the sages wanted to tell their philosophical ideas of the origin of life, like many Greek philosophers like Thales but in a story form and did it from fish to dwarf, after that they got bored and just completed the ten they wanted to make, the last one being an exciting prophecy to be anticipated by the future generations and stay enthusiastic about their religion.
You can choose from either of these, personally, 1 makes more sense to me, as we need to make the least number of baseless assumptions to believe it.

Gautama Buddha only rejected the authority of Vedas not the Vedas themselves. Buddha has even praised Mata Savitri Majjhima Nikaya, Sela Sutta 92.25
Bhagavata Purana Skanda 1 Chapter 1 describes incarnations of Vishnu. The chronological order is different and as follows: 1. Kumaram 2. Boar 3. Narada 4. Nara and Narayana 5. Kapila 6. Avatar order was arranged on the basis of Yugas or kalpas. you have to check which is based on what . From what I know Vishnu's dasavatar was based on yugas
