Agreed I’m tired of religious fanatics using this and always citing their holy books, let it be the Quran, bible, the vedas, etc.
Irrespective of anyone’s beliefs or lack of belief, evolution ie one species giving birth to another species has not been observed.
We have observed mutations in humans and bacteria. But not the kind of evolution I’ve mentioned.
So evolution can only be considered a theory not a fact or law.
If we want to call something a fact, it has to be observable, we should be able to experiment with it.
@@AzamatBagatov413 there are evidences for evolution like fossils that go exactly with how evolution is hypothesised to carry out, vestigial organs, DNA data etc.
Creationists always seem to ignore such evidences and then blabber how there isn’t any.
It’s funny how creationists demand rigorous proof/evidence for evolution but when it comes to their religion a book and some baby logic is sufficient. Oh the irony.

This has got nothing to do with you or me being an atheist/hindu/muslim etc.
Just google the definition of a fact.
For example, gravity
Gravity is 9.8 m/sec2. This is a fact because we have observed things falling at that acceleration.
Compare that with evolution. Have you seen a species giving birth to another species? Fossils is not a direct evidence. There's a lot of interpretation required.
Existence of fossils is a fact.
Claiming that the fossil is a common ancestor of human and other animal is an assumption, a theory, because neither you nor me have seen that species giving birth to humans or any other species.
6:10 simple answer is surface tension. You can think of it like , you have to apply a certain force to break the surface of water of some area but this force is very small so most of the things breaks the surface but it is enough to hold a light metal blade with its surface parallel to water surface which will apply very little force per unit area on water surface.

Yes a dog living in cold region would develop different from the dog living in warm region.
Humans adapt the weather and environment as well! Look at the people and their skins who live in cold region and compare them to the ones living in hot region.
That's not the question here! Question should be where did dogs came from? Just like where did the human came from? From monkeys? Apes? Homosepians? Or some another species that have gone extinct now?
Then there comes another question where did that species came from? From water? How did the first essence of life came in water? Where did the water came from? Then you say it was always here then sun did it's work and now you see! Or you say some comet or asteroid with water hit the earth and now you see!
Then the question rises again! Where did that rock came from? And how was water always on the earth when you say "before the formation of solar system everything was dust"? Ok ok probably the gasses (H,N,O....) within the dusts combined and created water. Which then with the help of sun now you see the water!
Ok then tell me why didn't any other planet got water? And Oxygen?(Enough to produce life) Ok ok you'll say that's why we ain't born there. But thats not the answer No? Ok ok you know what let's leave the water. Where did the dust the gasses came from? And how did the collided and became rock and water and some remained gasses that helps us humans?
Then you go on to say the legendary statement of all time "ONCE THERE WAS NOTHING AND THEN BOOM, ALL WAS THERE" like whaaaat? That doesn't aswer anything! Nothing CANNOT produce anything!

You really said all that i wanted to say. The ex muslims here are mostly trapped under the idea of cultural fallouts and inferiority complex. Being born into a muslim family is as big of a test as being born into a non muslim one. The debate here is not even complete since these people are just trying to prove a set benchmark or something even the proposers or reserachers of those ideas werent even 110% sure about. It is almost comparable to telling Einstein his quantum theory was wrong since the set benchmarknwas newtonian physics

Mutation are the sudden changes and it is one of the reason that leads to evolution...
Evolution is not a exhaustive process in itself rather it continues forever and there are both internal and external factors that leads to evolution..
And you are calling him dumb for the reason that he don't know about evolution, but let me tell you that even you don't know about evolution. You said that dog example is about a species, let me tell you that when over a period of time so many mutations happens in a species, it makes it a different species altogether and that's called speciation, which is also an evolutionary process.

Theory: Relying on a few facts, we make assumptions.
We might see evidence,( or the evidence might be incomplete evidence,) but our assumptions can be wrong.
Eg
Fact: Human hands have five fingers
Fact: chimpanzees have five fingers
Theory: because humans and chimpanzees have similar body structure, both have a common ancestor.
But we haven't *seen* any species turn into another species.
We *assume* based on fossils.
We see fossils that have similar skeleton to human body. We assume it is a common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees.
We can't be 100% sure until we see it happen with our own eyes and repeat it once again with predictable results.
If the scientists can in labs cause humans to evolve "again" that would be believable.
So, as far as I'm concerned, I don't believe it until I see it.

How do I know the earth is round?
Well, if we go to the sea shore, we cannot see past a certain point. If the earth was flat, we should be able to see the whole earth from a particular height .
This is the reason why I think earth is flat.

The difference in my opinion between weak theories and strong theories is, strong theories have empirical data and i we can conduct repeatable experiments with predictable results.

We can call something a scientific fact when we can observe it, experiment with it, it's repeatable and get predictable results.

We have seen a fossil.
Existence of fossil is a fact. Existence of humans is a fact.
Existence of chimpanzees is a fact.
Saying that the fossils is the common ancestor is an assumption because we haven't seen the fossil give birth to humans or chimpanzees.

First of all theory isn't something which is fact , it is restricted with some household phenomenons , you can compare it with a model to explain something .
But there is the possibilities that those theories are entirely or partially wrong ,
Like theories of Newtonian physics has been dismissed partially with theory of relativity .
Now , even some times ago three gentle men were honoured with noble prize ( in the field of physics ) they have shown that there is something which is faster than light but according to Einstein the speed of light is the highest , and his Mathematical expressions are based on this hypothesis .
So , dr zakir naik is absolutely right that theory of evolution is just a theory but not the proven fact .

It's complete mythology. A hypothesis relies on experiments and observations to prove it right eventually without which it cannot stand on its feet. Mythology relies on blind faith to sustain itself. Creationists take no responsibility to qualify their fables and claims in concrete terms.

I am a muslim and got to know zakir naik early in my life, but his arguments seemed hollow to me very early on. I have in general a problem with anyone who acts as an expert on everything. I am doing a PhD and I would never be as confident in my own field as zakir naik is in almost every field, which for me is a sign of intellectual dishonesty or ignorance. I prefer to believe science whenever I find a conflict between my faith and science. And not to forget zakir naik did very little to counter extremists in spite of having a platform to do that, infact he many times presented religious extremists in positive light.
I have listened to many of his videos, there is nothing of intellectual or scientific value in them. He should stick to teaching muslims about how to take bath, eat, pray etc, his ventures into politics and science have been disastrous all along.
I think the works of scholars like Dr. Shoaib Ahmed Malik are much better in this regard. He has his UA-cam Channel, FEIISP. (Although his videos are always interview of academics).
What i had seen watching Dr Zakir Naik is everyone proved him wrong till he have a talk with Dr Zakir Naik . Was about to comment this! Surface tension should be the right answer. The blade is so light that it has not been able to penetrate the surface tension of water. Hence it stays on top. But once it breaks, it will drop to the bottom of the cup.
