I think I found my dream job! I love that you showed a comparison to court reporting because I went to court reporting school. I also creatively write and I love technology. I'm working for a tech startup. Thanks for the information!
I have a linguistics BA that was quite heavy on communications but about 7 years experience as a lending research analyst and I'm hoping I'm capable to switch to technical writing. It's a small part of my current job but the main part I like.
So I’m about to get my bachelors in CIT and my minor is creative writing, I’m thinking about technical writing but I’ve honestly been stumped on what to do. So this video came at a good time
Your channel is really helpful! Subscribed and tapped the bell. It’s really cool to see that my personality type infj is the 4th most likely to choose the technical writer career. Looking forward to your other videos.
I got my bachelors degree in English, but I want to break into technical writing. I want to get a certificate, I’m just not sure which program is best.
I am new to this channel, so I haven't looked at its other videos. But it seems to me they should have a segment on what kind of impact Artificial Intelligence, or AI, will have on discussed careers. So, the question remains: How will AI affect the outlook for this career?
It's a great question, especially with GPT-3. For now, AI hasn't impacted this occupation. You still see plenty of job postings and the workforce hasn't gotten smaller. It could be a question of when., but we are not there yet right now.
I believe that a long enough timeline, if you are not part of the workforce maintaining the machines that maintain society, and/or maintaining those who maintain said machines, then I think you will probably have to get used to being hungry or doing without.
I think it really depends on the company. The top companies probably require a bachelor's. From what I have noticed in Job postings, they don't specify what kind of major or degree they are looking for.
Can i know about getting job in us from india as an electrical engineer do .USA hire freshers or i need some work experience to get an job there its my dream to work there as an electrical engineer can you pleas help me guiding
Myers Briggs has no validity or predictive capacity as a psychological profile. I have a friend who does this - takes several contracts at once and makes a fortune. He hates the woke bull shit in the tech field but he loves the cash and remote work.
@@mannaselonel1209 Welcome to my world. I've been looking to get in for three months and I've only see 2 jobs that didn't ask for experience. It's impossible.

What specific type of training or education is actually required for this?

Journalism and mass communication should be good for it.

Too bad nowadays, all technical writing jobs require years of previous experience, making it impossible for any new people to get in.
Are u serious?? How does one gets experience if they are not giving an opportunity.
