What a lovely piece of film - Dean just laughing and carrying on singing regardless a true pro in my opinion. Lovely to hear the two of them sing together.
The "frog croaking sound," makes Dean laugh twice, but he still hangs in there and does the medley nicely. It proves he's a down-to-earth kinda' guy, which is one of the many things I like about Dean.
In 1963, Bobby was in Roy Orbison's band, "Candy Men." That year they toured England with the Beatles. Orbison was billed as the top act, but after a single show, he insisted that the Beatles close all the shows for the rest of the tour.
The song that Bobby Goldsboro wrote I just love that can bring tears to your eyes is "Honey". Some place on UA-cam is where Deano sing it to. Like anything Dean sing it great.
Actually Bobby Russell wrote "Honey" but Bobby Goldsboro does a marvelous job singing it! As a side note, there was another song called "Honey" from an earlier era that Rudy Vallee recorded and was one of his hits but it is a completely different song from the Bobby Russell later song.
i. absolutely, love. this. two men with wonderful voices and each with a great sense of humor yet able to professional at the same time. thank you! this has to be one of my new top favorite videos!
Thanks so much growing up in the 70 mid 70's I was a huge Bobby Goldsboro fan and of Crouse Dean. I never knew they ever performed together. I should of known cause anyone was anyone wanted to work with Dean. Loved this
LMAO I keep re-playin this over and over again! Man, this is funny! Dean lost it the first time and he was "tryin" to be prepared "just in case" Bobby did it again. It's funny watchin Dean sneakin peaks over at Bobby while he's watchin the cards and singin along all at the same time! LOL Dean was such a wonderfully playful entertainer and it was hilarious watching him joke around with his guests! I miss Dean Martin sooooooo much! Thank you very much for posting this rare gem! :)
I love this so much cause it is my favorite singer in my youth Bobby. He was my favorite in high school . Now Dean has become my favorite of my semi old age. 40+ years since high school. Love when Dean end up cracking up on camera. So glad we still have Dean around on UA-cam. I couldn't watch Dean when I was young cause my mom thought some of the subject his skits was inappropriate subject. Now I can choose for my self, I love everything he did.
JayH7745 Oh, I agree - but they cut it off too soon at the end. I’d love to have heard what Dean said to Bobby when the song was over!! One thing, though. I wonder why the picture quality on some of these later shows is sometimes worse than those from earlier series from the 1960s? You would think that the filming technology would have improved over the years, not deteriorated.🤷🏽♀️
@@lindashelley3635 I think this was a VHS copy that someone made that's been traded around between Dean's fans over the years. It's a real gem to see though. 🤗
Dean Martin can pair up anyone beautifully, with his own style. This duets with Bobby has shown clearly his wonderful abilities and character. Very charming indeed. Honey by Bobby is such a beautiful song. The man is a genius and very likeable too. Love this video in many ways. Thank you for the post. Happy holidays🎅everyone.
Bobby Goldsboro was my mom's favourite artist of the 60's and early 70's, and Dean Martin was my granny's favourite artist of the previous generation, so much so my sister used to joke Dean was Granny's boyfriend.
Amazing two great icons together
What a lovely piece of film - Dean just laughing and carrying on singing regardless a true pro in my opinion. Lovely to hear the two of them sing together.
J adore😊
This video is an absolute GEM! Big Thanks!
Dean was always such a good sport.
The "frog croaking sound," makes Dean laugh twice, but he still hangs in there and does the medley nicely. It proves he's a down-to-earth kinda' guy, which is one of the many things I like about Dean.
It was a cricket sound, made by Bobby to make Dean laugh. It worked too!!
My two Favorite (& Nicest) Performers together! Thanks for posting!(Especially Dean's reaction to Bobby's "Tree Frog" impersonation-PRICELESS!)
Two legends and a cricket!!
I remember watching this live!
Even Deans laugh was sexy. His smile was natural. He always was game for fun. Love him
It's a tough competition to choose between Dean And Bobby singing Abilities, they're awesome 👌 👏.
Such a class act and very true professionals. Bobby was a very underrated singer. What a great voice he had.
LOVE it! Thank you once again!!!

I bet dean was thinking, please don’t make those noises when we are singing honey

@@jasonplatt2228, sometimes Russell's "Honey" is billed as "Honey (I Miss You)" to avoid confusion with other similarly titled songs.
big thanks for this one too
Dean Martin era espetacular
Goldsboro looks like hes walking around with a bolt gun hunting a briefcase of money.
i. absolutely, love. this. two men with wonderful voices and each with a great sense of humor yet able to professional at the same time. thank you! this has to be one of my new top favorite videos!
Dean Martin smile it´s dynamite spontaneous and contagious to the more depressive lips
Fantastic DEan was so much fun perfect for lockdown.thank you
Great voices, but re “leaving the straight life behind “ I wish Bobby would leave the cricket/ frog sound behind.

Bobby Russell composed Honey and Little Green Apples, two gems. He was a friend of mine who died much too young.
Duas lendas ..!
Muito bom..!
Show...Maravilha rever essas lendas em ação..!
wow wow wow
SO HILARIOUS 😂
Still, the bad toupee.
This made my day!
That Dean Martin was a classy guy.
Not a cricket but a frog
I came back several times a day, since last time I was here. Having big laughs & enjoying this video v much.😅
Thanks again for the post. Love it!
So Genuine
So sad that Dean had such a horrible time when his son died. He never was the same. Didn’t smile ever again.
Good singing but ruined by the frog thing
It was a cricket sound made by Bobby to make Dean laugh. Bobby wrote the song, so he can sing it any way he likes.
❤❤immer ein Fan von Dean Martin gewesen 😢
Those were the days❤
Two great singers!
REALLY funny. Two great singers. 👍

Qué canción más linda y triste.
