I love Muireann. I swear her smile is gonna kill me! Beautiful song, beautiful voice.
Peter, I suggest in that case to just close your eyes and listen - only open them when you're ready to go :) Muireann has not just a beautiful voice and presence but also an angelic mastery of the language making it all very real and at the same time mystical.
She casts a musical spell when she sings - and it dances in your head for hours afterwards - mine anyway.

Gosh, I love that woman. She reminds me of my Irish mother when she was young and I was a child.
Not a clue what she's singing about, but it doesn't matter. Her voice is spellbinding.

For me it does matter what they are singing about since I don't understand Gaeilge, the language of my grandparents, except for hi how are ya etc. Not a language you hear often here in California, and it wasn't offered in high school or I would have taken it.

Mrs. Amhlaoibh's voice has changed over the last ten years. The high notes don't come as effortlessly as they did back then, but her singing sounds more mature and emotionally deeper than before.
