I heard Landmarks the song a long time ago and loved it. And only now have visited the entire album.
This is hands down one of the most exquisite jazz albums ever made. It's phrasing and lyrical and atmospheric qualities are just unlike anything else out there. A true masterpiece.

Stumbled across this song somewhere in the webosphere a couple years ago and play it about 75 times annually. Beautiful. Another one I love similarly is Eldar Djangarov's cover of Morning Bell.

Nothing like live jazz performance and a superb piece here by Brian Blade and his band. Wish KEXP would add band member names because the artists deserve the recognition, so hope I have them right: Brian Blade, drums and percussion; Jon Cowherd, piano; Chris Thomas, bass; Myron Walden, bass clarinet; Melvin Butler, clarinet.
