And for the individual bridge saddles...are they as sturdy as a normal bridge? The more I'm thinking about it and looking at them, it seems like theres a higher chance for those individual bridge saddles to come loose or something? It just doesnt seem like the sturdiest setup. I've never built a guitar so I definitely could be wrong. Hoping that someone who knows guitars very well can give me some input.

Is there some significance to emphasizing these guitars are made in the USA? The Gumby-like bodies are nice.

Because one should be proud to have a product made in their country.

Does your company still make baritone electric guitars? Similar to the ones Mike Mushok played?

Nice mahogany body guitar, it is not clear exactly what models Bartolini installed. It's from the ACEs? Also very interesting are wired 5-stage switch combinations of the pickups. All five positions are completely hum canceled? What do you mean it sounds like an antiphase but it's actually in phase? If the pickups are not in phase, then there is a dependence of the sound in the positions where the pickups are connected in parallel from the master volume (Peter green wiring)

      Hi Ozotel,
The pickups in Don's "Sweet Annie" are the custom Bartolini "soapbar" type, which are dual-coil humbuckers voiced especially for Novax. The special circuit that I developed for the "Sweet Annie" series uses proprietary switching to achieve multiple sounds, all hum-cancelled, and highly versatile, with both "humbucker-like" tones and "single-coil-like" tones. It does not use the usual "coil-tapping" or "series/parallel" wiring, which often is a poor substitute for true "single-coil" tone. It has a proprietary circuit developed by me just for the 25th Anniversary "Sweet Annie" model. No other instrument offered by any manufacturer uses this circuit (although it will eventually be copied...); it's my proprietary design.
The single coil model ("Sassy Annie") uses the Bartolini ACe model pickups; they are true single-coils with excellent single-coil tone and, therefore, they will hum in the individual positions, but they hum-cancel when used combined (position 2 & 4 on the 5-way switch).
Don has an optional "expanded tone" version to this proprietary circuit which gives him 9 distinct tones from a standard 5-way switch, using a "push-push" pot for the tone pot to access the additional sounds. Some of the tones sound "out of phase" like a "Strat", which makes the Sweet Annie highly versatile, but Strat pickups aren't really "out of phase", it's just the pickup position that gives a "Strat" that tone. The Sweet Annie duplicates this sound in a different way. The "Sassy Annie" has true single-coil pickups as opposed to the "Sweet Annie" with the soapbars.

Brilliant work, Ralph. Nice work Ralph. As far as I understand, your patented scheme involves special pickups, with conventional Bartolini humbuckers does not work. These are your special humbuckers the sound and volume are in the low-output group ( as their early models such as 1C, 1D , 1CTA) or is it a more modern PAF type humbuckers ( PBF) or ACEs? I'm also experimenting with wiring. . A interesting effect I was able to get by turning the opposite phase of one of the coils inside one of the humbuckers. And both humbuckers in relation to each other ( when in 2 or 4 position) is are still in phase.

Hi @@ozotel, perhaps you mis-understand: the pickups are specially voiced for us, but any pickups can use the proprietary wiring that I developed. Since the circuit doesn't use "coil-splitting" or "coil tapping" to achieve the alternate tones, any pickups will work, even single-coil pickups, but the effect is best with humbucking-type pickups... I have a Lollar P-90 single-coil in the neck position of my own AX6, and I used the same circuit that I developed for the Annies in my own custom guitar - a wealth of excellent tones.

I would buy your schematic... Guitar is too expensive for me these days , but I if I could - I would buy Annie guitar, unfortunately I prefer true temperament system, it is too complex to combine both ( true temperament and fanned frets)..About pickups i asked only in term of output level, not voicing. V or D series are low output hum-s, latest models are much louder. What are your pickups in comparisson with lets say... Gibson 57’s or P90 in output levels?

My thoughts about switching, not sure about value of capacitor, but it realy sounds as “sort of out of phase”. Sorry, Ralf...Maybe I wrong.
All pickups in all 5 positions are in usual series humbucking mode.
      1. Neck full humbucker
      2. Neck/Bridge (capacitor ~2-3nF in series )
      3. Neck/Bridge
      4. Bridge/Neck ( capacitor ~2-3nF in series)
      5. Bridge
