I liked how they gave a quick degreasing and powerspraying of the engine before installing the kit. Some shops, dealerships in particular, will never take that extra mile to serve the customer. They just want to get the work order done and move on to the next to chase the buck.
This is the right mindset! That small amount of effort goes a long way towards word of mouth recommendations. Wish other places of business would use the same common sense, Bravo!
@@stat1865 Nah not really. I used to go to independent garages for my car. They'd only do what is asked. But then I had a friend who was a mechanic who used to work at indy garages. He would do what I asked and also address other problems / issues
We have used a few different De Greasers over the years, the one we have settled on works fantastic and is not harmful to the environment either. I will try and find the name for you.
Are you guys recommending and/or providing rear diff upgrades yet? It's my understanding that s2000's are notorious for diff failures. And doubling the horsepower would no doubt increase the stress. What are your thoughts on this?
it pre-loads the filter , that way when you start the engine after an oil change you dont starve the engine the first few seconds ...and while its starting is when an engine receives the most wear .. especially in a cold climate
I been thinking about supercharging my ap1 i was wondering if i did would you be able to just keep vtec at 6,000 like it is now when you tune it or how do you usually do that lower vtec engagement or leave it at 6?
Love your guys videos👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾. Contemplating whether to supercharge or go turbo when I get the S2K next yr. They seem to have the same gains. Dunno 🤷🏾♂️ Its a toss up
@LHTPerformance I've watched a few of your guys' videos and you seem like a really good shop to go to. Nice builds by the way! Do you think you guys could do a 2JZGTE swap in an S2000? I'm thinking about an engine swap for my S2K.
Does the engine need any mods before reaching 400 HP? I've got a kraftwerks kit sitting ready for installation, but don't know how sturdy the f20c really is for 400...
45Mang the f20c is one if not the most stout Honda engine ever built. The stock engine can make make up to 1000hp with supporting mods and tune of course, but 500-700 is more common and reliable.
I'm currently having Kraftwerks warranty a snapped belt for me. What tensioning method do you recommend to prevent this from happening again? Thanks in advance!
Jason DuBose I'm on my 4th belt within about 2k miles. I think I may have the issue figured out, but I'll see if this one holds up longer. Longest lasting was avout 850 miles. Current one is at about 600.
Same here. About 850 miles on the belt. Kraftwerks told me the belt tension is vital and most failures are due to the belt being too loose or too tight. I think I read somewhere too that the belt gets tighter after warmup as well. Just curious how LHT is having such good luck with belts on their kit installs. This new 30mm setup could be a fix though. Likely an expensive upgrade though.
My first belt went at 850 too lol. Second at 650. Recommended tension felt too loose for me so I didn't do it on first 2.On third belt I did it anyway just in case I was wrong, belt lasted 100 lol. In the instructions it doesn't mention anything specific about mounting the belt on the drive system. I figured being that it sort of works like a chain that there is a possibility it could be off a "tooth". So what I did was start at the crank, installed a clip to hold belt, and went around starting on the driver side cog and made sure there was no tension at all in between each cog, insuring I had no slack except for where the tensioner is. I noticed that this may have been an issue because on the installation of the third belt I saw a larger oscillation in the belt in between the passenger top cog an the SC cog. This went away once I installed the belt this way. As far as tension, when I spoke to KW they said that the belt should be tensioned to about 74Hz. There is an app called Gates Carbon drive that works fairly well which I used. Your readings will be all over but you can kind of average it out. After about 300 miles I checked again and the app had a hard time getting a reading so I tightened the belt a bit and I got a reading, indicating the belt had already stretched.I'll post up my success or solutions to try and help others.
Thanks buddy. Thanks for being open minded, most people are so brand loyal they can't enjoy anything but "Their" Brand. I own a Zo6 as well as several Hondas ;)
LHTPerformance That's rad, these all are fun cars you have! I have nothing but respect for such an innovative and creative brand as Honda, and those improving on it. That's passion right there.
All I can say is do your research on these kits. I had it on another platform ended up having to sell it and switched to another brand ended up costing me extra $$$$ in the long run.
I have done a lot of research on the kraftwerks for the s2k and it always says that it's the best for reliability and I want is reliability with about 400whp
Brennan Guernsey sorry then, i dont know to* much about cars, only a bit about turbo's and how they work. but 2:47 made me think it was a turbo. I dont know the diffrence between superchargers :/
A Turbocharger runs off exhaust gas and heat. The engine makes exhaust gas, which spins the impeller connected to the exhaust system, which is linked and spins the fresh air intake impeller, which forces more air into the engine. A Supercharger is belt driven by the engine. The engine spins, which spins the belt, which spins the supercharger, which forces more air into the engine.
I have run mobil 1 for some years as well and it is no different then honda oil in my opinion. Once I tried Eneos 5w30 in my engine I noticed it would stay cleaner for a lot longer then both mobil 1 and honda oil and by cleaner I mean it would not get black/dirty so fast. I like to change my oil every 5000km and I also would use nothing but a Honda OEM oil filter. I'm not a rep for Eneos or anything I am just speaking on my experience with using it over the past couple years. Give it a whirl! lol Cheers, I love your Builds!
This theory has nothing to do with the quality of oil. Honda oil I'm pretty sure is purchase from Mobil/Exon It's conventional oil not synthetic .Mobil 1 has more cleaning agents and on a engine that bypasses by the rings will blacken the oil much faster.
says it has an oil leak. dosent change the gasket just washes the oil off.. good way to treat ur customers n then publicise it. people r too dumb to notice tho so it won't matter

Just a suggestion for you guys, dont do complimentary oil changes. Some people are very anal about the oil they use in their cars, and I personally would not be happy if you drained 100 dollars of real synthetic race oil to put in 10 dollars of fake synthetic oil.
Even if I am retarded, that doesnt change the facts. There are a select few companies that produce real synthetic oils. Joe Gibbs and Amsoil are examples. Literally every oil that you can find on the shelves of an autoparts store, or walmart, isn't synthetic. Royal purple, valvoline, mobil 1.... etc Its ALL marketing.
The fact that you cleaned the engine before installation shows your passion and care for what you do.
I liked how they gave a quick degreasing and powerspraying of the engine before installing the kit. Some shops, dealerships in particular, will never take that extra mile to serve the customer. They just want to get the work order done and move on to the next to chase the buck.

thanks man car looks great looking for wheels for mine, by the way forgot to ask you what tire sizes are you running

I'm like wait a Minute, i've seen this S2000 somewhere.. In my video ! Now its Supercharged, good stuff bro (:
Love the s2k looks nice for basically stock on outside, sounds good too
Could you repeat how many millimeters?
All of them
Hey I know the owner! That's my buddy! So dope to see someone you know on these UA-cam videos! That's a first for me!
i love these videos... every time an S2000 is modded, my 100% Stock AP1 increases in value 👌
Yeah true i bet yours is kept in a garage n hardly ever gets driven either
@@stat1865 and not as fun
What a hater comment lol ... just tell us your broke lol
Impressive. You make it look easy. I do not own a Honda. Building my 2jz in my is300. But this makes me want a s2k
Those nt03 looks clean
We all need to know what the hell was in that squirt bottle, holy clean engine Batman
James Stevick it was the pressure washer that did most of the work. it was probably just degreaser in the bottle
We have used a few different De Greasers over the years, the one we have settled on works fantastic and is not harmful to the environment either. I will try and find the name for you.
LHTPerformance Name please. :) thank you
LHTPerformance did you find the name of it ? Thank You
Gas will remove grease.

Why do you pour oil into the filter?.....this is new to me
it pre-loads the filter , that way when you start the engine after an oil change you dont starve the engine the first few seconds ...and while its starting is when an engine receives the most wear .. especially in a cold climate
If your asking this question do you really work on cars?
Chris Mac Maybe he’s learning?
That car is beautiful I would have bought it instead of my evo if it was for sale
Beautiful car!
Is there a comparable company like this in SoCal?
If you know, what type rims are those? Nice hard top as well.
On average what is the expected lifespan of a Kraftwerks supercharger?
Man i want to buy this kit and have you guys put it in
so what about the cost..yours and parts please..450whp
Wish you could do this over in the UK? I'm not sure who could do it over here :(
does anyone know what tire and rim size this is? I really want the flush look like this
Kneel4 YurMeal do you know the tire and rims size by chance? long shot lol
Kneel4 YurMeal well thanks for doing the leg work for me!
At 1:08 you can see and Honda engine turned into a pressure washer bad ass !!!
How fast would this kit be in a 1/4? High 11?
Low 11 with decent tires. With a good suspension setup and a good driver I'm sure you could touch 10's.
Most likely. Upper 10's with the right tune.
on 19inch tires it can go under 11..the gearbox is very very short for a manual one.
God I want this kit so badly but I can't even afford new wheels for my s2k right now...
TheARJ15 do u know the name of this kit i want it to lol
At least you have an s2000
I been thinking about supercharging my ap1 i was wondering if i did would you be able to just keep vtec at 6,000 like it is now when you tune it or how do you usually do that lower vtec engagement or leave it at 6?
Hey John, What are you spraying on the engine before you power wash it ?
Hi. I saw in another video of yours that the 400package starts at $5996. Now is that just the packaged or packaged w/install+tune?
So for someone just looking into superchargers, what does the 30 mm kit do?
@LHTPerformance are these numbers on pump gas? If so what would this setup typically do on e85?
How much boost are you running on I have the same kit running on 9psi and I make 380whp
Do the charty build for a guy from Slovenia. I cant afford to put this on my s2k. Just to own it here is a blessing. :)
Any options for a turbo or super charger for my EF? It's a civic 1990 hatch with a B18B in it.
What alloys are thoses look sweet?
How much from stock to kit advertised out the door?
brilliant. what front spoiler/splitter is this
...and exhaust. damn I need this to Denmark right now
If I'm not mistaken, the exhaust is a HKS Hi-Power.
Andreas Kürzel oem front lip with downforce USA splitter and yes HKS dual exhaust
i have one of two of these kits in the UK, where can i get the left hand intake pipe/filter, mine faces right.

How well do the rear diff hold up with that much extra torque?
greg keller In 57 S2000 Supercharger lots and not one Diff issue. 😉
No ecu tune??
Of course, every single car gets tuning. That's why it's on the dyno.

hi what is the exact oil used thanks
What's the wheels and tires specs on it
how much for the package?
have you guys done e85 on the kit?
Not on an S2000. It allows for more aggressive timing and go for another 20-23 whp
how mutch it costs?
Do you guys get a lot of questions about stalling problems? I fixed mine in 5 seconds. I want to make money off it.
hey! cool accent! where are you originally from?! Love your videos!
what is the music track called?
90 mm pulley? total bar of pressure? thanks
max rpm?
How much for this kit
could that go to 550 HP?
What was in that spray bottle?
E c Twll me at what time you saw it, Usually water with a little soap.
LHTPerformance 1:00
Why is there a huge drop in torque?
The torque comes from the RPM signal, it's interference on the tack pick up.

i'm next sign me up
500 whp
