    I had to wear glasses to fix my esotropia problem up until I was 15. My left eye would turn inward. I joined football during that summer and the coach gave me a helmet with a vertical bar in the center of the facemask. I hated that damn facemask so much, I would get cross eyed like crazy with that bar in the middle. But oddly enough, a few weeks into wearing the helmet, I noticed my eyes weren't crossing anymore when I took my glasses off. To wrap up my story and get to the point, if you have esotropia, wear a helmet with a vertical bar facemask and you won't need anything else

    Hi Julie, thank you for the video. I'm 25yrs old and I've had the esotropia (my right eye turns inward when I look hard at something or when talking to someone) I was bullied about it when I was a kid and thought this curse is not treatable. Researching, reading, watching vids about it told me this can be cured on a young age between 7 to 14. I'm 25 but will my esotropia be cured still? I'be cried hard when I found out there's cure but I'm afraid I'm out of age range. Hoping you could answer.

    Im 14 and have esotropia. Keep in mind i have had surgery once and it didnt fix it.
    My right eye is turned outwards however i can switch it too my left eye being outwards. I also noticed i almost entirely look out of one eye alone. And that is whichever eye i have straight in that moment. I can also make my eyes look straight for as long as a few seconds but everthing is blurry.
    Can i make my eyes normal?

    Can a constant micro-esotropia benefit from orthoptic therapy? I’ve had microtropia forever and it caused amblyopia but the tropia itself never bothered me. But it worsened a few months ago as a side effect of a drug. Now I must crank my neck more than before when looking in the distance and must sit in oddpositions in front of the computer, and my eyes get tired and painful.

    Hi Julie, I have intermittent exotropia which I can do on command when I double my vision. My left eye strays outwards when I do it. Is it dangerous?

    • @visontherapy
      @visontherapy  2 роки тому

      It’s not dangerous that you can willfully make your eye go exotropic, but it may not be something you want to continue. Over time you are teaching your brain how to misalign your eyes and it may progress in coming years where you can’t control the alignment of your eyes.

    Hello Julie, my 5 year old son has an accommodative esotropia. His right eye turns in. He was prescribed glasses with bifocals, the glasses help the eye to stay straight. When he takes them off, the eye turns back in when trying to focus. Will glasses help to train the brain to make the eye ball see straight and not turn or will he need to wear glasses for the rest of his life to maintain the eyeball looking straight? The doctor that is treating his eyes has no answer to that unfortunately but your video has given me hope. Also, what are those light therapy goggles you mentioned, how would he use them and where can I purchase a pair? My son is only 5 years old and I really want his accommodative esotropia to be completely fixed and want to do anything i possibly can to help him.
