    There must be some mystery why A. Sinchuk is so underrated !....and it's not a conspiracy theory - others play this concerto like toddlers however, it's them who reap the harvest - Fedorova, over 31 M views and enthusiastic comments on her bland performance, while A. Sinchuk plays Rachmaninoff just as if he were Rachmaninoff's incarnation and what ?? ..almost THOUSAND ! times less views ?? - incredible !

I also love listening & watching him playing this , but I hear slightly more clearly everything when I listen to Mr Sinchuk , because my hearing is not perfect...Mr Malofeev is already a great young pianist who plays with feeling & maturity , & will improve all the time , as he has great talent , is passionate about music & is humble . Humility in artists is always what makes them great , as they keep on striving . I am a fan of his too , & listen to him often

      @@dil7185 Thank you very much for your reply - although I think it's a long, long way ahead A. Malofeev to catch up Alexander Sinchuk, if it's at all possible - some people are exceptionally good at something and A. Sinchuk at many competitions and this honour, I think, he absolutely deserves !
      But of course I respect your opinion.... anyway, I still wonder - A. Malofeev has sometimes a few million views on YT, while A. Sinchuk way less .... why, do you think, it is ?!...

    Truly wonderful, i hope to see Alexander live one day, i want to hug him, your talent accompanies everyday my life and this video is one of the things that put a smile on my face. Thank you for everything. Your interpretation of this masterful piece is different from others the decision, the controlled vigor, the balance between stark and moderato playing is astonishing, he never loses himself too much in force but your hands on the piano is strong but “moderato” in the same time it shows restraint and professionalism. Art.

    Operetta mixed with a funeral march - that's what they've done of it - I mean this concerto played by Seong-Jin Cho - neither he nor The Finnish Orchestra meet the challenge - they just cannot feel Russian soul, or even more generally, our Slavic soul (I am Polish)

    Rachmaninoff often resembles me Chopin, to some extent, of course - Rachmaninoff can be everything in one composition - an ethereal wind, gently romping in the field.... and then suddenly a powerful storm, with thunderbolts raging all around...but his music is always consistent and all the time it leads a listener so that he has no doubts where he goes.
    When it comes to Chopin, I am always a bit disappointed realizing how often he explores one motif, modifying it in many ways, but sorry, I always hear the same....of course everyone has his own taste, so I will not be outraged, if your opinion is contradictory to mine ; )

      Excuse me - what do you mean saying '.....and all the time it leads a listener so that he has no doubts where he goes.' ?...

    • @helios-jj2wq
      @helios-jj2wq 3 роки тому +7

      @@robertw1403 Rachmaninoff leads a listener to the limits of the human phantasy and imagination and he does all this by the perfection of his compositions, not by any other means....Chopin often puts too much stress on the virtuosity, paying less attention to a composition itself, so his works, although usually very beautiful, seem to be not artistically as mature as those of Rachmaninoff
