Rachmaninoff often resembles me Chopin, to some extent, of course - Rachmaninoff can be everything in one composition - an ethereal wind, gently romping in the field.... and then suddenly a powerful storm, with thunderbolts raging all around...but his music is always consistent and all the time it leads a listener so that he has no doubts where he goes. When it comes to Chopin, I am always a bit disappointed realizing how often he explores one motif, modifying it in many ways, but sorry, I always hear the same....of course everyone has his own taste, so I will not be outraged, if your opinion is contradictory to mine ; )
@@robertw1403 Rachmaninoff leads a listener to the limits of the human phantasy and imagination and he does all this by the perfection of his compositions, not by any other means....Chopin often puts too much stress on the virtuosity, paying less attention to a composition itself, so his works, although usually very beautiful, seem to be not artistically as mature as those of Rachmaninoff
if I heard this same praise for a piano player once I've heard it a million times for all the piano players......please people lets get real. here. They can't all be great....except in your own minds.

Musicalité et technique parfaites
Excuse me - what do you mean saying '.....and all the time it leads a listener so that he has no doubts where he goes.' ?...
@@helios-jj2wq That's right ! I absolutely agree, many thanks.
@@robertw1403 Thank you very much as well
