Into the lap of trees I lay myself to sleep
when I’m tired,
resting on the carpet of heather
in the whisper of leaves.
I close my eyes and cross my arms,
I cover my face with branches and
The wind strokes my hair,
there’s a smile on my face and
big is my gratitude.
Whenever I want to share joy,
to make some room in my heart -
what one cannot withhold
can be given to the woods.
I close my eyes and stretch out my arms,
I turn my face into the sun and

I come to breathe in the forest air
when I'm feeling sad.
I embrace the peace of the trees,
again and again.
I close my eyes and rest my hands,
I hide my face into the branches and
The wind …
Into the lap of the Earth I’ll lay to rest
for the eternal sleep
When the soul starts longing for home,
back into the light.
The eyes are closed but I see -
there’s an angel holding my hand and
