- This is the easily way to change a Chuck on a cordless drill. This is the normal first method to try.
If this fails or the Chuck has no left hand screw in it, then cutting it of is the next step.

I got one of these dhp 453 drills, it's strong. But i bought a cheap small Chinese drill with 40nm FortG 3014x. Its incredibly strong and my Makita couldn't keep up with it at drilling and driving screws. I'm so disappointed
Nice job,do u CHUCK the damaged one away lol
Cannot get the chuck off , removed the screw put Allen key in hit with a hammer but would not unscrew any tips please
Grinder, cut it of.

How you doing a good day from over in the US want to throw a name title for your video out there how to change a drill chuck the easy way helping each other out have a good day
Replacing chucks is progressively becoming a nightmare with the newest stuff.
I keep seeing videos on repairing Makita tools. Not many on Hilti tools. Is there a reason for that?
The reason is that Makita is sold several times more than Hilti. Hilti is repaired only by themselves.
Hilti tools are a lot more reliable. They are the top brand. Newer tools didn't normaly need repair. And when they do, hilti has a good warrenty and fleet cover. Outside of warrenty, very few people will take on repairing them. I would mainly repair older hilti hammers myself.
Bear in mind that outside of breakers most of the Hilti tools out in the wild are effectively on loan for a monthly fee.
Man just been trying get that screw out for an hour 😂😂😂is it left hand thread did u say
yes reverse thread.
sometimes they just wont come of and you have to cut the chuck off
@@deandohertygreaserI’ve tried getting the screw out of my DHP486 (turning right) and it’s just not budging. Tried with a screwdriver and then my DTD170 impact driver. I think the screw head is now stuffed.
Do you have a video on cutting off the old chuck? I just want to get it right the first time.
