I’m from the uk and every year my family and I come whistler skiing for 2 weeks - we are here right now. It’s usually my favourite time do the year but this year I got sick right at the beginning of our trip and it’s been a real struggle for me to do anything. I loved your comments this week about having faith even when we don’t see miracles…..I’ve prayed I’d get better and had medicines etc but to no avail. However the Lord is merciful and our youngest son (Jasper 4 years old) got kicked out of ski school on his second day and it has meant that I have been able to rest and watch him instead of forcing myself out on the slopes all day 💕

NEW things I learned in this lesson: the difference between immersion and saturation, the difference between seeing and entering, spiritual learning is more impactful than physical learning; am I looking for heavenly things? Surely those who met the Savior were looking. Do I nibble or feast? Sip or drink? Do I have a far away heart? Do I please God? Thank you for your insights and humor. You make Christ more alive! ❤

I always thought being “born again” was a single experience, but I’ve realized that while that can be true for some, God gives us opportunities to become born again using a miracle/experience, but it requires effort on our part to take that given opportunity. It doesn’t just happen, work is required to change and become new, or born again.

My dad died a few weeks ago - we didn’t have a funeral or anything and I’m 2000 miles away. I’ve been praying to feel him. Today my sister started talking to a stranger and he ended up knowing dad. They were able to remember him and it was such a healing blessing. New: Hi Steve and Chelsea. I'm Donna from Hamilton, New Zealand. I have been following your lessons since part way through 2019. I'm not generally one to comment so this is my first time. I came to this channel when I was teaching Gospel Doctrine (have since been released). I found the insights really helpful.
I am grateful to both of you for the sacrifice of your time and talents to bring these lessons to ME every week and I always come away uplifted and edified, and of having learned something new to then ponder.
Quite aside from the great lesson, the reason I felt to comment today was that I had a dream recently. In it y'all were at my ward (I know a bit out there lol). I dreamed that I had a lesson just you guys and me - in person - and it was so awesome. You then went on to teach our youth. When I woke up, the feeling of having been instructed well was still with me and the thought came to mind that I have that every week - Steve and Chelsea Scott teaching me in person. Thank you for all you do and may the Lord's blessings upon you and your family. My heartfelt love and appreciation to you both, Donna

I choose to believe and have faith before the miracles come because I know they will come. It gives me peace and strength knowing they will come even though I don’t know when they will come. I know that God knows the righteous desires of our hearts and He wants us to have those things. It’s up to us to continue to choose to have that faith in Him and His promises.

New! I am a long time listener, but I think this is the first time I have actually commented. This video touched me so much this week.
I watch and listen pretty much every week.
I stumbled upon this channel about 4 years ago, before Chelsea Carter Scott was on with him, when Steve Scott was talking about Spiritual Waffles. At first I thought this guy is a bit strange, but I loved the simple way that principles were explained, I have 2 teenagers and I got them to start watching too, and it was wonderful to see that they were engaged and more importantly they understood how these principles could fit in their life.
This week hit me because sometimes I forget that Jesus can help me overcome all things, even the ‘minor’ temporal things I’m struggling with. Sometimes I get a little too complacent and don’t turn to the Savior as much as I should. This video was a good reminder to me. So thank you both Steve and Chelsea. ❤

In the front page of my journal, if a statement really makes an impression on me I write it there to reflect back on...this one made it there...that has been weighing on me recently as some people around me have been dying suddenly. Hi, I'm actually commenting on the previous video, Matt 4 and Luke 4 and 5. I was late in watching it and didn't know if you would see a new comment on an older video. Miracles! I have daily miracles which include reminders to do health steps, ideas for communicating, help with health decisions, etc. Lately I've felt burdened by the length of time it is taking to get rid of the weird cancer on my left chest which already had a mastectomy years ago. God helps me daily, multiple times per day, and I know it, so why feel burdened? Your video hit the nail on the head--the adversary. I've been praying to be clear of this feeling. Now will add telling you know who how absurd he is and Nope!

My wife an I enjoy your lessons. I have just a little different take on those selling lambs/cattle/doves, exchanging money. I've always felt that the Savior's problem with them was not WHAT they were doing but WHERE they were doing it. I think Jesus alludes to this in His statement "make not my Father's house an house of merchandise". Most professions, did not result in having your own lambs/cattle/doves. So, if you were a carpenter, wine maker, your crop was fruit or grain, then in order to get an acceptable sacrifice, you had to either trade for it or purchase it. If you had to travel far to the temple, and you didn't work with livestock, you might not have wanted to drive livestock to the temple or risk having that livestock not make it to the temple alive. If these people in the temple had set up in the market place in Jerusalem, not on the temple grounds, Jesus would probably not have had a problem with them. They provided a necessary service, as long as they weren't over charging. Same for the money changers. Roman coinage couldn't be used in the temple, but you had to have it for everyday life. Again, in the marketplace okay, not on the temple grounds, and at a fair exchange rate. The temple priests who received the temple coins probably had to exchange them back into Roman coins to purchase goods, unless there was a parallel economy, which the Romans probably wouldn't have allowed.

The baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost IS an event. We should be seeking that event each and every day. The scriptures teach this, Joseph Smith taught this, Bruce R. McConkie taught this, and many have received it. The baptism of water is an event, why would the baptism of fire not be an event? Do the scriptures teach anywhere that it is not an event? No, it teaches about this blessed event. There is a process, but there is also an event. Read the Doctrine of Christ and you will see a good list of those events (2 Nephi 31:17-18).
